GENERAL NOTES: I just bought out the inventory of a plumbing store that had belonged to one plumber or another in Lincoln Nebraska since the 50s. It was FULL of antique toilets of all kinds. Over a thousand lids, old hardware, handles, all kinds of things. I'm going to be listing it slowly for probably a year or more. So check back if you're into antique plumbing stuff! Here we have a striking cranberry red toilet. I took pictures both with and without flash. To try to give a better idea of the color. According to the patent number found on a paper label on the back, and also a date stamped on the rim of the tank, I believe it to have been made in 1933. I think colored toilets like this were pretty unusual back then. The date stamp does say JUN 82 1933, but I think they probably accidentally reversed the 2 and 8. PLEASE NOTE that ... morethe tank lid corner has been broke and reglued, as shown in the closeup. Also, the toilet does need some cleaning- both mineralization stains and some paint blobs. I don't really have any facilities in my warehouse with which to do more than wipe these things down unfortunately- not even a floor drain. But the inside of the tank seems relatively clean. An original antique toilet seat this was refinished about 30 years ago and has been out of use for years. It measures about 15 1/2" across by about 15 and 3/4" long. Hardware is present but not perfect please see photos 9 etc looks like part is upside down. Looks to be quite early hardware. Looks good overall some light wear etc. please see photos for overall condition of the seat has a few splits etc. but is structurally sound. Any questions please ask! Antique Solid Oak Toilet Seat Lid Nickel Brass Hardware Old Vtg Bathroom 4354-15
This is a great old solid oak complete toilet seat and lid with the original nickel plated brass hardware. These are hard to find. There are some very minor separations at the joints otherwise it is in great shape. It is missing a few of its rubber stoppers other than that it is complete. The mounting hardware looks like it has been repaired on one side, it appears to be a quality repair and feels strong. The nickel plating is worn, scratched, scuffed, and has some oxidization. It looks like someone has refinished it some years ago. Overall good condition. Please look over the pictures and ask questions when needed. Thanks for looking. Approx measurements: 16"depth X 151/4"wide. Mounting bolts are 5 3/8" apart on center.
