vintage antique toilet CASE? bowl tank & lid, no seat, 1933 cranberry red! 30s
GENERAL NOTES: I just bought out the inventory of a plumbing store that had belonged to one plumber or another in Lincoln Nebraska since the 50s. It was FULL of antique toilets of all kinds. Over a thousand lids, old hardware, handles, all kinds of things. I'm going to be listing it slowly for probably a year or more. So check back if you're into antique plumbing stuff! Here we have a striking cranberry red toilet. I took pictures both with and without flash. To try to give a better idea of the color. According to the patent number found on a paper label on the back, and also a date stamped on the rim of the tank, I believe it to have been made in 1933. I think colored toilets like this were pretty unusual back then. The date stamp does say JUN 82 1933, but I think they probably accidentally reversed the 2 and 8. PLEASE NOTE that ... morethe tank lid corner has been broke and reglued, as shown in the closeup. Also, the toilet does need some cleaning- both mineralization stains and some paint blobs. I don't really have any facilities in my warehouse with which to do more than wipe these things down unfortunately- not even a floor drain. But the inside of the tank seems relatively clean. Very nice complete condition Crane Neutron Toilet bowl. Tank, an lid. It looks peach colored to us but it is marked Sun Tan by the manufacturer. It appears to have all of its original parts, it is untested so we do not know if every thing functions. There are a few scratches and scuff marks, but no cracks, chips, or breaks. Antique/Vintage White American Standard MODERNUS Toilet Bowl *NEW IN BOX*
For sale is an American Standard"Modernus" antique toilet bowl that has NEVER been used. NEVER had any waste ran through it PERIOD. Made in 1950, it has been sitting in storage ever since. Has a 2" spud that it came with out of the factory. It even comes in the original box, although one side of the box is deteriorating. But what can you expect from cardboard that is 65 years old? When shipped, it will be packaged inside of original box with padding, and then that package will be packaged inside of another box with more padding and marked FRAGILE. This 1916"Standard" Devoro toilet with rare"serpentine" tank was recently removed from its original installation. This type of toilet is called an"offset-tube" toilet. It is all original. This logo is one of the oldest known for the"Standard Sanitary Co" Toilet bowl has been acid-washed to remove hard water deposits. Toilet tank-lid has a small chip in the back corner.toilet bowl has small chip in the front base shown in photos. I am selling the toilet bowl and the toilet tank lid and including(for free) the tank. The rationale for this is that the tank has a hair-line crack. I do not know if it leaks as it is a very fine crack(shown in photos) I understand some people line the inside of the tank with epoxy to stabilize and correct a leak if a leak is present.
