This is a vintage antique Water Closet made of Oak wood with a copper insert lining. The original copper lining is in the tank. Along with the chain- handle and handle holder on top, Water leveling insert& flapper are newer. Has bead of silicone on bottom inside edge. Appears water tight however without new flapper cannot be fully tested. Copper appears fine. Oak case in great condition with no damageThe back appears to be made that way and not missing a board- no nail holes are present. Paper warrant label still on the bottom. Antique Oak Toilet Tank Professionally Refinished Antique~100 yr old Solid Oak Toilet Tank Up for auction is this very rare antique oak toilet tank. Which was bought from an estate in Spokane, WA. The house was built in 1890. The solid oak wood was hand stripped and professionally refinished. It has a copper liner that appears to be in excellent shape, but always have it checked for leaks before installing. The mounting brackets are original and refinished. The original flushing mechanism was a push-button flush. It has been converted to a handle-flush. A 3"x 2" by 1/8" thick nickel-plated cover plate, easily found at a hardware store, would cover the original screw and flusher holes. In the center of the tank front, the original little brass mounted rubber stopper kept the toilet lid from damaging the oak tank. What a neat ... morefeature back in those days! All internal plumbing parts can be purchased at any hardware store. This whole tank measures: 22" long by 17.5" high by 8" deep. Antique Toilet Seat. Oak. With Hardware, Complete, Restored, Solid Condition, has been solidly glued and filled.Stained and Refinished with 3 coats of tough usage lacquer. Fits standard toilet. Seat is about 15 1/2" long and 14 inches wide. Lid is about 11 1/2 X 14 inches. Bolted on hardware is very study and won't stip out like screws. Hardware has been polished to a certain point, but there are still pits and tarnish spots. Original nickle over brass has worn or been polished off on most of it. Bumpers were tarnished in the new package and have been sanded lightly. To be installed by buyer. Very solid hardware with the right look for the seat. Early 1900's. Just the right old patina to match the seat, which was probably made in the early 1900's. Still some tarnishing and pitting. May need a little more cleaning. This is a great old solid oak complete toilet seat and lid with the original nickel plated brass hardware. These are hard to find. There are some very minor separations at the joints otherwise it is in great shape. It is missing a few of its rubber stoppers other than that it is complete. The mounting hardware looks like it has been repaired on one side, it appears to be a quality repair and feels strong. The nickel plating is worn, scratched, scuffed, and has some oxidization. It looks like someone has refinished it some years ago. Overall good condition. Please look over the pictures and ask questions when needed. Thanks for looking.
