1858 BRASS SHUT-OFF VALVE, SWASTIKA SYMBOL / WHIRLING LOG, PLUMBING PIPE FITTING
Circa 1858-59. Brass gas valve. There is a swastika symbol on one side and pat no. 21924 on the other. Measures 3 1/4" by 2 1/2" and weighs 3.4 oz. Fits 3/4" pipe. I believe it's nickel plated. Up for sale is this antique shower head with shut off valve(valve is marked Japan) Head measures about 4" wide by about 16" long with the bend. Needs cleaning will leave that to the buyer. No cracks or splits. Some surface wear from being shuffled around through the years. Needs gasket and has some wrench marks. In my opinion still in decent collectible/useable shape. I have this an old unusual plumbing fixture that has some markings dating it to 1915. I was told it is an old drinking fountain. It is good antique quality brass. It has a push button flow valve and a keyed shutoff valve so it appears. Manufactured in Trenton N.J. by The Trenton Brass and Machine Company. Trenton New Jersey. Patd Oct 5 1915. Will need a good cleaning although I am not sure of its operational condition. Appears to be intact. Intersting repurpose hardware or a custom fabricated fixture for your home shop or office. I'm not sure what the ball of this(could be cast iron) the other part I believe is brass. There is writing on ball and brass part ICAN ONLY MAKE OUT THE FIRST THREE LETTERS WHICH TO ME READ BEL? ITS ABOUT 7 1/2inches and 5 1/2 inches wide. This came from an old estate and it was on a 250 gallon oil tank.actually I asked around and nobody seems to have seen anything like it.

NOS Vtg Plumbing Shut Off Valve/Large Knob/Chrome Brass/Orig Price Tag/Antique
Vintage. If not antique, shut off valve. Large flat top handle on solid brass with chrome plated valve. Never used. The original sales tag from Sears, Roebuck and Co is still attached. I believe this part dates from the early 1900s- since it was in a box of plumbing parts from our house built in 1917. Value is solid brass that has been chrome plated. Lovely large flat top handle. Valve has scratches throughout as seen in photographs above.

Vintage brass locking spigot valve lever shut off craft hooks
I saved these solid brass locking spigots/faucets from the scrap pile because they are just WAY TOO COOL to just be melted down. I have no idea if they actually work(don't leak. Etc. But I'm sure if you wanted to replace the gaskets in them they would.hard to say. I was thinking they would be great for coat hooks.crafts.art.whatever. Please note that one of the valves has a broken piece so that it can no longer be locked. Everything else appears to be intact with all of them. I have obviously done nothing to clean these up.
