Antique 19th Cent. Victorian Era Cast Iron & Wood Toilet Paper Holder
This is an antique 19th century Victorian cast iron and wood toilet paper holder ca. 1880's. Notice the cute little gripping hands that mounts it to a wall or cabinet. There is a heavier bar that raises up and down that was apparently used to tear the paper. The frame measures 8" wide x 4 1/8" high; the bar that raises measures 8 7/8" wide and the wood roller measures 7 1/2" wide. The hands are wired on the frame so they would not get lost. NICE Older Vintage Solid Brass Toilet Paper Holder With Wood Bar
NICE Older Vintage Solid Brass Toilet Paper Holder With Wood Bar WOW- went to my favorite flea market this weekend and found some awesome treasures for you- I’ll be listing all week. So keep checking! Here is a very nice old toilet paper holder- I'm calling it older vintage. But I do think it could be old enough to be antique- definitely early 1900s. It's hard to tell because it has been polished- and you can see just peeks of the old dark finish on the inside edges and at the base where the backpiece meets the two arms. It's a solid brass toilet paper holder- with a wood bar in the center that has a very worn black finish originally, then a white finish over that, and BOTH finish are very worn, especially in three lines in the center. That's just the paint, though- the toilet paper holder, and the bar are in excellent solid, ... moresturdy and working condition. The bar has two brass finials that hold it in place. Unscrew one, and the bar comes out that holdes the bar that holds the tp. The frame of the holder is also solid brass. it measures 6 1/2" wide by 3 1/8" tall at the backpiece that mounts on the wall, and that backpiece has two screw mount holes that are 4 3/8" apart, center of hole to center of hole. The toilet paper"arms" are 5 1/4" apart but the piece is 6 1/8" wide in total finial to finial. The space for the toilet paper is 4 3/4" between the arms measuring on the inside and the wood bar is 1" diameter. This is a heavy quality piece- weighing just over 1 1/4 lbs- it was made as a lasting work horse and has! Excellent condition- totally sound and ready to go. Antique Victorian toothbrush holder Wood & hand bead work - UNIQUE!
Well. I can't say for sure that this is a toothbrush holder, but when i bought it(about 15 yrs. ago from an antique store) that's what they said it was. It's a very curious item. Looks handmade and if I had to venture a guess, I would say it is the"Eastlake" style. At the highest point it stands about 6& 1/4" tall and at its widest(across the front) it is approximately 4& 1/2" It is all original, with the exception of one little nail on the back(you can clearly see the shiny nail in the pic. I put that in years ago to make the shelf part a little tighter. The little shelf piece still have a very small amount of"wiggle" to it, but is not in danger of falling off, and when hanging on the wall it doesn't sag. There are 3 slots(maybe for toothbrushes? The"G" looks like hand bead-work ... moreover needlepoint. I am no expert, so take a close look at the pics and judge for yourself. There are 9, kind of larger, pointy/stud/nails across the front, which I am assuming is not only for decoration, but to hold the fabric edge down. The edge has more bead-work. There isn't really a pattern so hard to tell if any beads are missing. I never saw anything like it before and have never seen anything like it since. This is fantastic! It is an Antique original cast iron toilet paper holder made by the Jerome Paper Co of New York! Approx Size: 6 3/4" long by 3 3/4" high by 3 1/3" deep in inches Approx Weight: 2 pounds Condition: Used Has some surface rust and wear to the finish but looks great! It has the"original wood roller" and"springs" Just an awesome piece of the past! I have no reserve!

Vintage Antique WOOD & METAL Toilet Paper Holder Retro Salvage Hardware
Up for sale is an Old Antique Vintage Salvaged Bathroom Plumbing Hardware Toilet Paper Holder. The holder is unmarked& does not include any mounting hardware(looks like it just needs 2 screws) It's metal& wood and measures 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" The mounting part measures 1 1/4" from hole to hole. The metal parts display signs of age such as tarnish. Scratches, discoloration, dirt/debris etc. The wood dowel also displays nicks, wood wear, some possible tape residue? Most of this would be covered when a roll of toilet paper is on there. Please use zoom function to see condition in all photos. This came out of an old house. I'm not sure of it's exact age.
