Vintage Deco Era Bathroom Set Wall Mount Soap Holder and Cup Holder White
Vintage Deco Era Bathroom Set Wall Mount Soap Holder and Cup Holder White I’m baaaaack! I had the incredible opportunity to chaperone a school related trip to France. Germany and Belgium. It focused on American conflicts in WWI and WWII and it was heaven for a history lover like me. I was able to fit three items in my bag for you– look for them this week. I’m also still listing new items from my Indiana picking trip– lots of barn find and Amish farm finds from the two fellas that I visit every year. Enjoy! Here's an original vintage deco era bathroom pair for you! It's a wall mount soap dish and a wall mount cup holder. Both are made of heavy steel or iron and have a white coating(is it porcelain? I think may be. But I do not know for sure) The white coating is in good but slightly shabby condition giving them a lightly primitive ... moreflair. You can see chips to the coating on the neck of the cup holder, a dull patina in most spots all over both(with some pockes of shiny showing in the hardly touched areas- like the front of the wall mounts) and the soap dish shows a lot of wear to the coating on the underside- where you can see it's chipped and worn down to the metal, and there's surface rust there that can be seen. This is on the underside only, though- not on the top at all that I can see. There's light surface rust that can be seen on the wear spots discussed above to the cupholder's neck, too- very light. Both pieces are in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition- totally usable, with both having two screw mount holes for mounting on the wall. The white is pretty white, but you can see grey spots and brown spots too all over- I do not know if they will clean up- I have not tried to clean in any way. Regardless, both really do look nice for an old used set. The soap dish measures 5" by 4" by about 1" deep at the dish and it is 5" from the back of the mounting plate to the front of the dish.
