Old Vintage Concrete Double Bowl Sink Farm Wash Basin Drain HeavyDuty w Pedestal
You are bidding on a very old Vintage sink with double basin bowl. I believe it is made out of concrete due to the appearance. However, it could be soapstone. I am not sure how to tell the difference. It is a very large sink and has deep basins. As you can see in the pictures there is a standard size washer in the background and it is quite a bit taller than that if you are trying to compare the size. Best guess of age on this is 65-70+ years. It currently sits in the basement and if you wish to purchase please keep in mind that you will need several people with you to help carry it up the stairs and out the front door. It sit on a pedestal that will come with it. As for condition. There are no cracks that I am aware of. It is in good condition considering its age and had been used in the basement of this house for multiple purposes. The ... moredrains are still there but they are rusty. The whole sink could use a good cleaning but I will leave that up to you. I am selling it in as-is condition. This auction is for a used Vintage Farm House Style Double Basin white Porcelain over cast iron sink. The manufacturing date of 9-5-1939 is molded on the bottom of the larger sink along with the manufacturing company symbol of R within a circle and a C. It could stand for Richmond company but I am not sure. This is clearly visible in one of the pictures. This is a used sink but it appears to be in good condition; there are no cracks or dings but wear and tear. Some light staining, scratches, scrapes, etc. There is old paint on some of the bottom and on parts of the sides and edges which are clearly visible in the pictures. The sink is approx 42" wide. 23" front to back. The apron is 2" ... moreand the back splash is 9" The basins have a length of 17" by a width of 17" The left shallow basin is around 8" deep. The area around the drain holes had some deterioration from a leaky faucet and the top left corner of the back splash. They do not stick out but there. There are stains as well from a drain board had sat for a while. See pictures ... moreof close up areas. That being said the sink is still better than most and looks good. The cast iron legs are adjustable and bolt on in front of the drains. The legs and underside of sink will need to be scraped and repainted depending on preference. You just do not find character like this anymore and are getting more and more difficult to find, and great investment as well. This Listing is for a Vintage 1958 Kohler Cast Iron Double-Basin Kitchen Sink in Very Good Used Condition. Condition: The sink is in excellent condition for it's age. With one exception. There is a shallow chip(about the size of 2/3 of a quarter) on the right-side lip. It doesn't quite go all the way through to the cast iron. It's hard to see in my photo, but it's there. Not terribly noticeable when the sink is installed, but porcelain chips can be filled if you were to choose to do so. The sink is quite heavy. Up for sale is this 1941 Richmond double basin farm sink. The sink is approx. 51 1/4" wide. 24 1/2" front to back by 16" high. The apron is 8" and the back splash is 8" The basins are 21" wide x 19"there is a super deep basin on the left at approx 12" deep and the right is 6" deep with a new drain included. The faucet holes are 8" o/c and are standard size wall mount. The sink set is 70+ years old with its original porcelain and has been used. It shows signs wear and tear, sm nicks, scratches, scrapes, crazing etc etc. There has been chips repaired and or touched up, mostly around edges and one on the rim of the left deep basin.
