Purchased at estate auction of an old historical home in downtown St. Louis. MO. It's either copper or brass, can't tell exactly but the coloring is extraordinary! Just a beautiful piece with the word HOT in an old time fancy font style. Handle rotates and feels like it is opening and closing the valve but is also a little loose. Threads are good. This is an antique copper lined toilet tank that sits on the top of the commode with all of the original fixtures that it came to me with. Everything works although some of the rubber items might need some checking for age. I refinished the piece. It had about 3 coats of various colors of paint. It would be great for someone who is restoring an old house or someone who just wants to add a nostalgic touch. It's the size of a regular toilet tank before the low flow toilets were introduced and should fit any older style toilet. You will need a new gasket between the tank and the toilet. Up for sale here is a true vintage antique sprinkler/ showering head. Its widest diameter at the head is 4" The piece is made of what I believe to be a combination of brass and copper. The piece might actually be copper with a brass coating over it. either way it is super cool. The fixture is in great condition as you can see from the pictures above and it works well. It actually puts out quite a bit of pressure. I believe you could use this for a shower head also if you wanted too. The seal or gasket on inside appears to be in good shape also. Some internal parts are present as is the brass elbow fitting that threads onto the bottom. In fantastic condition for its age! There is an insignificant bend and a small crack on the top lip of the tank which cannot be seen under the lid and will not affect operation(see pic#11) Sturdy and solid, there are no dents, seams look good but the tank has not been tested, being sold as is. Vintage Set of Pipe and Hardware salvaged from old farmhouse. One is copper with weathered patina on outside and other is steel with"cold" faucet handle still attached. Both are heavy and in good condition for their age. Copper pipe is 38" long and Steel pipe with faucet is 31" long. AWESOME Antique Oak High Water Closet Tank with Copper Bobber & Handle on Chain!
For sale is an AWESOME Antique Oak High Water Closet Tank with Copper Bobber& Handle on Chain! It appears to be made of solid oak and is painted an off white color. It appears to have been a corner unit as only two sides are painted. The interior is tin and all looks sound. This comes with a copper"bobber" or"float" and comes with a wooden handle with metal(brass? swivel and chain. The chain is in great condition with no kinks or problems. The basin itself measures 18 3/4" wide X 11" tall X 10" deep. With the top rim it measures 20 3/16" across. The drain pipe measures 1 7/8" to the threads and has a 1 1/2" opening. The smaller pipe measures 15/16" to the threads and had a 1/2" opening. Both fittings appear to be brass. The chain with the wooden handle measure 56" There ... moredoesn't appear to be any wood rot and only some minor paint loss on the bottom. This could easily be stripped and refinished to look like new and could probably be used again. This is from a VERY high end estate that is just FULL of high end top quality pieces including tin litho's. Porcelain signs, crocks and jugs, antiques of all kinds, and even taxidermy.
