The furthest distance on the piece which is from the head top of the Christ to his toes is approximately 15 cm. And approximately 11 cm in height( from the Madonna head top to the ground) at seated position. The silver is hollow cast. But still heavy! It is in great condition with no missing silver parts. Vihuela Renaissance Guitar Baroque Solid Woods Instrument
For sale is a wonderful vihuela in‘G’ scale length 59.5 cm) made by Luciano Faria. The instrument was made in 2005 and is in absolutely pristine condition. The workmanship is at a very high level with great attention to detail evident in the construction and the sound. The sound is truly magical. This fine instrument has a perfectly grained Spruce top with quarter-sawn. Old-growth, Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, Ebony pegs and fingerboard with a Mahogany neck. The top has a traditional wax finish and the back and sides are French-polished. Please note that some of the photos show an increased yellow tone due to fluorescent lighting) I am the original owner and the vihuela has always been kept in a balanced indoor environment and always in its case(with a humidity regulating device) when not being played. Brass bell this horn can take all you can give her- from pedal tones to double high C. Created with input from legendary trumpeter Marvin Stamm, this trumpet has a'dual bore' 460-464 bore; it doesn't steal your energy but yields volume and tone like a large bore horn. The outstanding facet of this horn. Besides it's lovely tone and valves- is the tuneable bell option. Wouldn't it be nice to have an alternate large belled, heavy copper bell for those small cafe sessions or the recording ... morestudio's solo needs? Or how about a light, tight brass bell for that 4 hour lead gig? Slip off the present bell and replace it with your alternate bell in seconds! And you have only the cost of another bell with this tuning bell setup; it's a tremendous option and you can have 3 horns for less than the price of one new horn! There is wear to the silver plating in the hand-held region of and around the valve block. The bell is angled slightly down; a minor fix- since the bell is removeable. A couple of tiny mute dings in the bell, probably too inconspicuous to notice in the pics. I've found the slides, valve action and compression to be very fine- this is a fun, easy horn to play. Getzen Renaissance. WOW. Forerunner to Getzens' current"Custom" line of pro horns. I believe it was made early 2000s. This one is in excellent shape with near 100% silverplate, a perfect leadpipe, no dents, and valves with excellent+ compression. Bell seems to be standard weight and I measure bore to be.460 on 2nd valve casing. The tunable bell is neat and helps make intonation spot-on. The lack of usual bell/leadpipe bracing seems to make things"sing" like no other trumpet I've had. It should be a KILLER lead horn in the right hands. Incredibly open in the upper register. It's got some heft but balances gracefully and just feels"light" in the hands.The gold accents make it easy on the eyes. Too. The statue is Real Bronze, not a resin, plastic or plaster mixture. The statue is signed"Donatello" Donatello’s bronze David(c. 1430- 1460) is notable for being the first free-standing nude since Roman times. The statue’s sensuous appearance has aroused a great deal of comment over the centuries. The statue’s androgyny has occasionally fuelled speculation that the figure might have originally been intended as female. Extremely rare and intricately ornate 19C Gothic Renaissance style inkwell/inkstand/pen rest. This lovely piece is engraved and dated on the back 1892. The inkwell was created in Belgium and was given as a wedding gift as the inscription on the bottom indicates. Not only do you have a beautiful object. But a piece of history with names, date, et al. The bowl of the inkwell is brass, but the surrounding foundation I believe is silver. The intricate scene depicted is one of medieval revelry with festive knights, jesters, musicians, dancers, acrobats etc. The pen rest itself is that of a Jester. So rare, so unusual.
