Vtg. Set of Two Large Ornate Wooden Carved Plaques W/Porcelain Arnart Figurines
This is a vintage set of very large ornate Italian Style wood carved plaques. Each has a small gold rope attached at the top and is attached to a porcelain swing figurine, little boy and little girl. The children are sitting in the swing in very beautifully painted outfits, each has a basket by their side. The figurines lay up against a diamond quilted padded surface attached to the wooden plaque by brass tacks. The figurines are marked on the bottom Original Arnart Creations, on a blue and gold foil sticker. They are also marked with two, 4 feather arrows crossed with the number 7632 underneath it. The plaques are each 24" T By 14" W. I cannot find any chips or cracks on the figurines. The carved wooden plaques have a few surface cracks, please see pictures. The wood has been painted ivory and has gold accents. These would look ... morebeautiful above a fireplace or in a dining room. These are very, very fine plaques.

Antique Pair of 1930's Kellogg's Vernon Grant wall plaques pictures prints vtg
I was told these were from the 30's. They are wall hangings that were part of a set of six by Kelloggs. These two are Lady Bug. Lady Bug, and Friday Night's Dream. They both measure 6.5 inches by 5.25 inches. I would not say they are in bad shape but they are not mint. One is"Mignon" which I believe refers to the Gypsy woman in the"Opera Comique" of the same name by Ambroise Thomas. Based on a novel by Goethe. The other is"Marguerite" from the Opera"Faust" They face each other and may have been door ornaments or theatre ornaments during the Art Nouveau period. One of a lady musician measuring 4 3/4 X 4 inches with some hairline age cracks, with frame measures 12 1/4 x 7, the male musicina mesures 6 X 4 inches and he holds a mother of pearl fan,in good condition, framed 12 1/4 X 7 inches to match the female. They are in great shape. When I unpacked them, I found a couple of tiny white or dark spots on the back of the gray kitty, but I don't think it is damage. I think it is from the initial painting. Vintage (1959) Chalkware Wall Plaques of The Virgin Mary and Jesus
I have here 2 chalkware plaques. The first on is of Jesus. It measures 8 inches from top to bottom. 5 1/2 inches from side to side, and 3 inches from front to back. Absolutely beautiful design and colors. Is in really great shape with no chips or cracks. Mich. Artistic Creation 1959 Detroit Mich. is marked on the edge of the bottom. The second plaque is of Mary. She measures approximately the same size. She has the same marks along the bottom edge as the other one. She does have some minor damage. There is a chip out of the top of her head covering(pic 7) and a piece on her right side has been broken off and put back on. 790EF is written on the back. VINTAGE 2 PLASTER/CHALK PHEASANT PLAQUES. BOTH MALE/ROOSTER, GOLD, GREEN, BURGANDY, VERY NICE This is a set of 2 plaques made out of plaster or chalk of a male or rooster pheasant. They are gold. Green and burgandy colored, and both are in great condition for their age, probably from the 1960's or 70's. They are the same, one has a couple tiny spots where the paint has chipped, an easy fix though, hardly noticeable, the other has about 2-3 very tiny chips around the outside edge, hardly noticeable also. Both are very heavy and both have 2 wires inbedded in the plaster for hanging. Each measures 15" long, 9" tall and are 1" thick. The backs are not painted. Vintage Bronze Indian Head Plaques Set of 2 Cool Pieces
Here we have 2 bronze Indian head plaques. I don't know much about these. I'm assuming they are bronze since they are heavy. They may not be plaques at all. These are heavy pieces. Each weighing 1 pound each. Each Indian head is 5 by 3 1/2 inch. They are not marked with a makers name. There are small holes on the back of each piece. It also looks like a piece, possibly a hanger, was removed from each one. There isn't a way to hang them unless a hanger was attached. They would make great paper weights as they are heavy. Carved Stone Argentina "Martin Fierro" Poem = Pair of Folk Art Plaques - signed
This item up for auction is a pair of hand-carved. Folk art plaques by Argentine artist, Arbio. Each is signed. Diameter of each is roughly 4.5" These are very unique. And in perfect condition. The carvings each have a'gaucho' loosely translated as an Argentine cowboy. One is seated by a fire with his horse behind him, and a bottle setting near him. He seems to be whittling; the other plaque has an older gaucho who is talking or telling a story. Beside him lays a dog, and a hut is behind him. Both are very detailed and intricate works of art. I am relatively sure that the medium is stone, and it has a smooth but'touch sandy' feel to it. I do not know what type of stone it is. I did not know who Martin Fierro was; the portion of the poem in Spanish on the plaque is attributed to him. Martin Fierro was not actually a poet. ... moreBut rather is known as the poem itself. Translation due to the different rural dialects of the mountains and hills of the country is difficult, and cannot be literally completed as I understand it. The poem is basically a parable. We are selling a Victorian Letter Box. The words" Answered& Unanswered" are inscribed on strips of natural material. The brass decoration has been painted over but grins through here& there. Same with the original interior lining paper.It can just about be seen(see photo) It still has its key& locks. Size Approx Length- 22.5cms. Height- 10cms. Depth- 11cms.
