There are no rips or tears in the leather inside or out. The window i s metal and intact. It is approximately 16" L x11" T x9" W. THE FRONT MAIN LATCH DOES NOT WORK. AND THERE IS NOT A KEY FOR IT. Check out my! This is listed as red but could be conidered rusty red. Tthe height approximates 11 inches with the lid and about 8 inches without the lid. There are 3 symbols on the bottom. The top 2 Are what I believe to be for Kutani. The 3rd. Which I believe to be the maker, I cannot identify. There are also 2 marks on the inner edge of the lid, which I cannot identify. All marks are in red. There is damage to the piece where the foo dog at some time was separated from the lid and reattached. There is also a chip on the tail. Other than that, I see no other damage. I do not know the age or history of this item as it was purchased at an estate auction.

This antique 1882 dogtag is 15/16 inch in diameter with a hole made in it to attach. The front has the Indiana state seal dated 1882. The back has the number 5 above"B.W. Smith& Co. Lafayette. Ind" I purchased this through an estate sale. I do not know who#5 was or what the company made. There is a dark blemish on the front side of the token on the bottom. I do not know if this is oil or grease or dirt. I was always told not to try and clean antiques. Offered is a neat old brass stencil for the Iver Johnson Dog Bed manufactured by E. Salow Co. of Boston. Massachusetts. Iver Johnson was a maker of guns, motorcycles, and bicycles from 1871 to 1993. Whether these dog beds were made for them by another company, or if the dog bed was just named for the famous gun, I do not know; but this piece would make a wonderful decorative item in a primitive setting. Antique Bronze Censor w/Foo Dog Top & Feet 12.5" high
This is an antique bronze censor pot that we know little about. The exact age is unknown but we believe it to be approximately 80-100 years old. This piece stands approximately 11.5" high. The bowl section has a circumference of approximately 24.5" This handled censor has four small ornate legs that have the heads of the foo dog on the top of them and each has a paw at the base. The pierced lid is removeable. Atop the lid sits a full figured foo dog. He measures approximately 5" from front to back and he has a height of approximately 4.25" to the top of his tail. There is great detail on the face and paws of the dog. There are no maker marks on this item. It appears to be completely made from bronze. The metal has a lovely patina to it. There are some areas with pitting and green. It also appears that at some point someone ... moretried to clean this and inside the top is residue from the cleaner. The handles on this are both loose. The Running Fox backstamp identifies it as a Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellainmanufaktur piece and it is dated 1918. Some will call this a Volkstedt just for short as this company went thru numerous changes in the early years and this marking and date puts in the years that the company was operating under this name. Little Greyhound is in MINT condition. Measures a bit under 3 1/2" tall. 3" long and 1 1/2" deep. Delicate front leg is raised and hangs free so is quite delicate. These are quite large and heavy. With a shipping weight of nearly 24 pounds! Each statue measures approximately 18 3/8" tall when displayed on its hand-carved Rosewood base. Other measurements are 8" wide and 5" deep. Bottoms of wood bases retain original CHEN SHIN CO paper labels. Each Rosewood base is uniquely carved to fit one of the dogs. The dogs are glazed in a thick vivid turquoise or cerulean blue. And bottoms are stamped in red ink: CHINA. These are being sold just as-found. Uncleaned, with original warm patina. They display beautifully. One dog has very shallow flakes to the blue glaze. Visible on the cheek eyebrow, and tip of tail, but absolutely no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. This is a antique/vintage beautiful turquoise blue foo dog. The dog looks like it is snarling and is about to pounce on whatever is bothering him. This is the first foo dog I've ever seen in a turquoise blue and it is quite decorative. The approx size is 11 inches long by 6 1/2 inches high. The exact age is unknown since there are no markings. But it is most likely from the 1930's or before.

chinese censer 19th century foo dog bronze old vintage gilt antique
estate fresh this week. I do not know much about this. but I think it is chinese and I know it is old. looks to be cast bronze. shows normal wear. from alot of use. could even be older than I think! possibly 17 or 18th century. you folks know more than me so have at it! the lid fits snug it measures 6 1/2 inches high. by 5 inches wide at the base almost 4 inches deep. I do see what seems to be very old gold gilt over the whole piece. it is worn all over.
