For your Consideration: A Pair of Antique H& C faucet handles. They are about three inches long. The letters show only light wear. The porcelain is very nice. Metal has pitting suitable for its age. Up for auction and from Standard we offer this Vintage Cast Iron Pedestal Sink. This bathroom sink is porcelain over cast iron and the has been refinished with porcelain so there is no blemishes on it. Before it was restored it had no chips. Cracks or rust anywhere and had its orignal drain and back stopper but no faucets. Standard made this sink in 1923, the pictures in blue show the maker and year it was made. Pror to 1924 Standard did not put an overflow in this production. Vintage DRINKING FOUNTAIN Halsey Taylor,Antique Water Fountain, Wall Mount
This is an exceptional vintage Halsey Taylor china water fountain/ drinking fountain. Wall mount style. I obtained this in times past to eventually use at my shop- but I need to sell it. The plumbing parts are solid brass. I had this buffed out bright and it looks fantastic. The china bowl and mount has no chips or cracks, and no stains in the bowl itself. Some staining where it bolts to the wall and where the plumbing contacts the china. Brass is marked"Taylor" and has patent number. It is untested with water. It will need usual rubber gaskets and pipe joint compound on threads prior to plumbing it in. Knob feels good when turning, it springs back and forth. Will need a rubber washer where the knob/ valve unit screws in. I am including 2 different rubber faucet washers for the valve with it along with the original one- not sure ... morewhich one it needs(see photo) I am confident it will perform fine and is a beautiful, classic vintage specimen. Judging by the weight I believe that this is a porcelain-over-earthenware piece. There is no faucet or drain included, this i s for the sink only. This particular model was originally designed with an integral spout. Though you could certainly update to a regular spout given the right faucet set. The glaze is nicely crazed over the entire piece. And there are a few stains in the basin(most likely from a leaky faucet) and ghost outlines from the old escutcheons. Check the photos for condition. Here is an American Standard alcove tub from 1959. It is in'Regency Blue' with a left-hand drain. It is in good overall condition with minimal rust but almost every surface is lightly scuffed/scratched. The floor's enamel is worn with the remaining outlines of tread stick-on shells ... morefrom the previous owner. There are a few spots on the interior where the enamel is scratched, and there are a few small chips here and there throughout. Please check out the photos for condition. The drain hole has a little bit of rust showing but not much. A rust sealer should keep it from spreading prior to installation. The overflow hole shows a bit of cracking in the enamel, though that should be covered by the overflow assembly. There is a large chip on one of the edges. Though this should be covered by tile once installed(see pics) This isn't cosmetically perfect, but it's a well-used survivor. If you can live with some cosmetic imperfections and wear, then this is a great tub! Antique Vintage 'Chase' Bath Tub Drain Overflow Assembly 1930's
Here is a very cool and unique old complete'Chase' tub overflow/drain assembly. This was removed from a home that was built in the 1930's. This has an internal stopper. And it's controlled by a lever that moves from side to side. All components are brass. Both the drain flange and strainer have lost most of their plating. But the strainer has a very unique design that I've never seen before(very Deco) The waste shoe has some dings on it from removal, but it is not cracked or distorted(pic 12) The overflow cover plate houses the lever. And both are fairly scratched/scuffed from years of cleaning. The lever itself does have some dings and there is one small gouge on the overflow cover plate(pics 4-8) The action on the lever is nice and smooth, there looks to be a spring-loaded pin that runs against a guide to give it a little ... morebit of drag. It just feels well-made! The set will be broken down into components for shipment. There are no rubber gaskets included. And I would also recommend replacing the packing at all of the compression joints. Antique Vintage American Standard Tub Faucet with Spout 1920's
Here is a nice old'Standar d' tub valve and spout. This was removed from a 19 20's-era home. The handles appear to be replacements(probably 1940's or so) The ori ginals would have been porcelain cross-handle pieces. The spout has a porcelain escutcheon and a trim ring with set screw that keeps it tight to the wall. The finish on the spout. And original trim are more like a nickel color, while the finish on the handles is more like a bright chrome. All of the porcelain pieces are in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. There are a few small spots of discoloration but overall they are very nice. The handles have scratched/gouged caps. But they are fairly clean with good shine. They are cast zinc. Both stems open and close freely. The stems and escutcheon ferrules are slightly scuffed with spots of missing plating, see photos ... morefor condition. The spout has mis sing plating all over. As well as some gouges and scratches here and there. The brass nipple will remain in the spout. I' ll leave the choice of removing it up to yo u. All of the shiny bits on this faucet would benefit from a re-plate. But you could certainly use as is if you don't mind lots of patina! The original cast iron mou nting bracket i s included. The set will be broken down into components for shipment. GENERAL NOTES: I just bought out the inventory of a plumbing store that had belonged to one plumber or another in Lincoln Nebraska since the 50s. It was FULL of antique toilets of all kinds. Over a thousand lids, old hardware, handles, all kinds of things. I'm going to be listing it slowly for probably a year or more. So check back if you're into antique plumbing stuff! Here we have one of the three Case kidney tank one-piece toilets I got. See my other auctions for the other two. THIS one does NOT have the side lever in place(see my other auctions for one that does) The toilet is in generally good shape I think. No cracks or chips I could see. It does have mineralization in the bowl. A lot of wax residue around the edge of the base. You'll need to do some additional cleaning on this toilet- I don't have the washdown facilities ... morein this warehouse to handle lots of water and chemicals, so all I can really do with these old toilets is spritz them down with cleaner and wipe off the dust and easy dirt from probably half a century AT LEAST of basement storage. PLEASE be sure you know what you're getting into with these old case toilets. The parts are very expensive, when you can find them. I DO also have the kidney lid for sale separately. The lids are more contemporary castings from the 60s or 70s. As mentioned below, these toilets are a freight item. I will build a crate for this toilet, and the crate will be lined with 1.5" beadboard styrofoam planks. These toilets aren't really very profitable for me given the work they take to make presentable- I have a soft spot for arhictectural antiques and I'd hate to toss these in the dumpster. Vintage/ Antique Claw Foot Tub Faucet Fixture
This is an original hot/cold faucet for a claw foot tub. I'm not sure of the composition as it's not an area of expertise. But I do know that the hot and cold buttons are porcelain. They have no cracks or chips and just a bit of wear of the lettering. The handles move freely. And aside form cleaning up, this appears ready to go. The plating on the bodies is in decent shape with light wear and a few scuffs/scratches, most of the loss is around the spout openings(see pics) The handles are very corroded. Antique Vintage American Standard Tub Controls With Spout 1960's
Here is a nice old tub control valve and spout. This was removed from a 1960's-era bathroom. This could be used as a shower control(without the spout) Or as a tub-only control. There is an adjustable sleeve that threads onto the valve body to adjust for wall thickness(see pics 6-7) This style of trim was found on American Standard fixtures in the 1960's. It appears that all trim pieces are chrome-plated zinc. All trim pieces are in very nice shape. With a few nicks and scratches here and there but nothing terrible. The worst is a scratch across the cold knob, but most of the other imperfections will be concealed when all of the pieces are installed. The spout has spots of worn/scuffed plating. And a few small dings on the front(see pics) Both of the valves/stems move freely. Though I would expect to rebuild/replace all of the washers ... moreand packing before use. The inlets are 1/2" copper sweat connections, and the spout nipples are still installed(see pics) The set will be broken down into components for shipment. This is a rare find indeed. I found this sink in an abandoned house and with great effort retrieved it for sale. It is not in the worst of condition. Being that it is nearly 100 years old. There are plenty of places that restore sinks and tubs, found in the yellow pages and would love to help you in restoring this item. I would rather sell it in it's original form, then restore it and try to get top dollar for it. It is made of cast iron, and is a Crane Corner sink. Manufacture date places it in 1929, which is around the time of the great depression. Which is astounding in it's self. Especially since there were not many things that were made during that time. This model was available in the early 1900's but I could find no specific age stamped on it. There is some crazing in the glaze, mostly on the interior of the bowl(see pics) There are some stains in the bowl as well. There are also some stress cracks along the sides near each mounting hole, and a few up on top near the spud(see pics) This type of crack is common to fixtures of this age, especially from some of the'boutique' manufacturers of the time. From my experience these are ... morenot structural. There are a tiny chips/scuffs here and there. But overall this is in nice shape. The original spud is included.
