When positioned as a chair. It stands approx. 40" tall. As a stroller, it is about 45" long. It is all original including the original steel wheels. The handle is porcelain enamel. The hardware consists of pegs and straight-slot screws. There is some rubbing off of the finish and nicks and scratches. Particularly on the tops of the arms. As can be seen in the photos, one of the chair back supports was replaced along the way, but it's an old repair. Obviously. This is not for use for a child nowadays as it would not pass modern safety requirements, and is sold for display only. Beautiful addition to your decor or collection! A.E. Meek Steamer Trunk. Very Old, Very Interesting. The trunk is sturdy. It can support over 200 pounds. As you can see in the photo. It’s reinforced with wood on the outside. It appears that the canvas on the outside of the trunk was painted later then decorative flowers were added. It was manufactured by A.E. Meek Trunk and Bag Company. Denver, Colorado. I don’t know when it was made, but the A.E. Meek label inside the trunk says that their Denver phone number is 1216. There are 4 rollers on the bottom and all in good shape. There is a removable wooden tray that sits over the main storage area. On the outside. One leather handle is in good shape, the other has a couple of remnants of the leather handle. Vintage Antique Samsonite Luggage Train Case Chest Wardrobe Shwayder Bros #4139
This needs TLC. But it is a lovely part of History. The gentleman that owned this traveled by train for his job. No key but it does have a place for one to go. Pretty beat up but I have not cleaned it as I do not know what to use. The inside seems to have all the pieces but one of the"curtains" need to be repaired as it has come loose from the strap. This appears to have one side for hanging clothes which appears to be intact. The other seems to be shelves this is the one that needs repairing. This is made by the Shwayder Brothers out of Denver, 4139. This has one lock on each side and two locks at the top. The left one is a little hinky but it does close correctly. A LEATHER& IRON BOUND MOTOR CAR? TRAVELLING? TRUNK. Back in the August of last year. I was invited, with others, to tender for the job of clearing a bungalow and adjacent outbuildings prior to their sale, I viewed the premises, submitted my offer and promptly forgot about it. As I remember, the job was a dual application where the bungalow and the buildings had to be valued and priced separately. Some very stringent specifications were imposed as to when the work could commence, vehicular and pedestrian access and a whole rainbow of minor regulations. However, my tender ticked all the right boxes for just one part of the job. This was to empty and remove the contents of the outbuildings. Frankly, I was overjoyed at this news as it was closer to the main road, had easier access and was far less labour intensive and of course as everyone ... moreknows, stuff dumped in sheds and garages is invariably'out of favour and no longer required' To verify this last statement the buildings did contain a lot of'junk' but also some very collectable and saleable goods even though some of them were seriously outmoded. Many toys and models in varying states of repair were recovered. Some were construction jobs as in Meccano, others as yet un-made, were in the form of ships and boats. Some toys were boxed and almost new. Others, as in the case of the model aircraft, had all been built many years ago and well flown. Musical instruments of various types were recovered. These, according to an executive who was present at the time, had all been used and passed down the family over the years. Suffice it to say, a lot of useful items were recovered, some as old as Adam himself and others in between! My intention was to offer them in time for Christmas but due to pressure of business it would appear that I have left it a tad late. huge antique NeverBreak wardrobe trunk, 1930s
This is an antique ca1930s wardrobe trunk by NeverBreak. It has definitely seen some mileage-there are stickers from Singapore. Gloucester Hotel in Hong Kong, Japan.the traveler's name was Paul Thornton(visible on one of the stickers) It closes well, everything works. It's old though, so it's a little"off" All the brass fixtures are intact except tarnished. And the inside is clean. The leather handle is still there. It is missing the lock and key. It has sat in a bedroom as a decoration for many years. It is 40" long. 18" deep, and very heavy! Hard to see it go. But we're moving and there's no room!

Vintage Steamer Wardrobe Trunk Excelsior Lock Early 1900's Original w/ Hangers
For Sale is a Wonderful Vintage Wardrobe Trunk from the Early 1900's. It is all original. There are 3 drawers on the right hand side to hold folded clothes. The left side is for hanging clothes. Included are 4 original wood hangers. 2 can hold pants plus a top/jacket/shirt/blouse/etc. and 2 are just for tops/shirts/dresses etc. There is also an adjustable bar that helps hold in the hanging clothes. Everything is original from the floral interior to the hardware and two leather handles. There is no key but keys are still available and can be purchased on the web. The lock is an Excelsior brand which dates the trunk to the early 1900's. Stamped on the lock is"USA. Excelsior Stanford, Conn#5987. The lock was loosened from one side of the trunk to allow it to be opened by a previous owner. It is, however, all there. The latches work ... moreand hold the trunk closed. One is a little hard to open. I sometimes use a screw driver to pop it open. This trunk stands 36 1/2 inches tall. Is 22 inches deep and 14 inches wide. The exterior is a forest green color with black trim on the corners and white pin stripes. The floral interior is green and peach colored. It does show signs of use. There is some staining on the drawers, and the hardware, probably brass plated, has age discoloration and/or oxidation. Kind of gives it character. There are many uses for trunks like this from being a guest room dresser to a coffee table. It could be refurbished or enjoyed as it is. The pictures show what you are bidding on. This is a very early 20th century ANTIQUE CHINESE RICE FARMER'S LUNCH TRUNK.AKA A"CHINESE LUNCH BOX" This is an UNBELIEVABLE piece that originates and made it's way to the USA from China in 1930 but it's creation dates back to somewhere between mid 1900's to 1915. It is a very dark toned. Still beautifully glossed aged wood with a great inside storage and side inner drawer made for chopsticks. During one of his walks through the farms he saw a lead worker call for lunch, and watched as dozens of Chinese rice farm hands crowded around in a circle around what was a trunk full of food, plates and chopsticks. it was THIS TRUNK YOU SEE UP FOR BID NOW. The officer, becoming more and more fascinated with the use and look of this trunk every time he walked past the workers on a lunch(as well as the lifestyle and rich history of the village and it's people) finally made an offer to the elder lead farm hand to buy the trunk. Pre 1930's hand carved wood trunk. The wood looks like cedar. But some of the research I've done the same Maker has used champhor wood. The lots of and hinges are original and are brass. the hinges are a little bit shaky and me need some attention. the trunk lid does open and close smoothly. There are several aged splits in the wood, nothing serious. Also one of the four feet is a little loose, it can be fix really easily, but I didn't want to mess with it. The overall condition for its age is good. 37" wide x 18" deep x 19" tall. The wood is all hand carved. The top is rounded. The carvings show people in a village, sailboats, nautical Chinese. Rare Hartmann Vintage Stateroom Antique Travel Steamer Trunk Wardrobe Chest
Characteristics of Hartmann We are offering for sale an extremely RARE& UNIQUE fine stateroom steamer trunk. Came from an older Central Pennsylvania estate. Trunk has previous owners initials H L B. Exact age and origin unknown but believe to be from the early 1900s. 1877: Hartmann Inc. was founded in Milwaukee. Wisconsin by Bavarian Trunk maker, Joseph S. Hartmann. 1905: Mr. Hartmann had a vision to build"luggage so fine it will stand as a symbol of excellence. Because of his vision. The company grew rapidly and moved to larger facilities in Racine, Wisconsin. This trunk has early Hartmann trademark cloverleaf hardware. Pull out hanger is patented March 1905. This may be the only one is existence. VERY RARE Quality constructed. Trunk interior is fitted with American golden oak and cast brass ornate pulls with drop front hat box ... morearea that can be used as a desk. Exterior is fitted with rose and silver colored cloverleaf hardware(corners are cast iron and the rest of the hardware is nickel plated brass? which I believe the cloverleaf hardware was characteristic of early Hartmann. Canvas appears to have been a deep mahogany that has darkened over the years from the smoke of coal fired trains and ocean liners. Nice shaped edging of wild boar hide(pig skin) and fine brass tacking. The skin from a boar was tougher and thicker than other animals. Pull out hanger is patented March 1905. The latch is marked Everwear TTC3 and Corbin made in USA. Stately Travel Chest Wardrobe Trunk These early trunks are very rare and hard to find and are as good as. 1930's vintage Caswell-Runyan cedar chest
The Caswell Runyan Company. Which began life in 1907 when it was founded by J W Caswell and Winifred Runyan, was the first of its kind to offer readymade cedar chests as a commercial product. Manufacturing took place in Huntington. Indiana, and the firm hoped to corner the cedar chest market at the point of its inception. The plant became the second largest wood-working plant in Indiana at its primacy. Caswell cedar chests were a patented product. They reflected the fact that people were moving away from creating their own furniture in favour of buying ready made goods. At first. The company employed approximately two dozen people– a figure which had increased to 600 by 1924, by which time Caswell Runyan cedar chests were being sold across the United States. This rate of growth is quite remarkable, bearing in mind the company forewent a national ... moreadvertising campaign. In 1929 Caswell Runyan merged with Utah Radio Products Co. a loud speaker manufacturer) of Chicago. Bringing together speakers and cabinets to complete a radio reception combination. Catalogue numbers. Patent numbers and lot numbers were printed on Caswell Runyan cedar chests. These can tell collectors a great deal about age and value. One or all of these details can be found stamped lightly onto the top edge of one of the trays. Aged chests can be professionally restored– a process that will restore some or all of their value. This is an original antique in which its outside surface needs some veneer restoration as shown in the pictures. Dimensions are 45.5L x 19W x 21H. And the depth inside the chest is 11in.

Belonged to my grandmother who came to this country from Austria in 1910 so this trunk is at least 104 years old. Needs some restoration as shown in photos. Blue sides is some type of cloth material over wood. the bottom panel is metal as shown in photo. Hinges came loose and need to be attached. The wood shelf insert is cracked, but repairable. Full working travel wardrobe made by Seward Trunk and Bag Co in the early 1900's. Black outer with blue inner. All drawers work and hanger poles extends to give access to hanging clothes. All hangers are original. There is some wear and tear but bearing in mind the use and travel this truck has seen. Condition The Box is sound. Completly Refinished Antique steamer trunk with key circa 1920-1930
Completely refinished antique flat top tin covered pine steamer trunk with key. This trunk was made to fit under the seats on a steam train(hint steamer trunk) I installed new double ply stitched leather handles. very strong) made by local amish here in central PA. Also the leather straps and buckles are new and fully functional. The exterior was cleaned. Brushed& sealed for protection as well as conservation, I leave the cracks& dents to preserve the character the trunk has ocumulated over the many years. New high end fabric interior was put on after stripping. Cleaning, brushing, drying and sealing the interior. some say fabric was not used for the interior originally. But I have seen it on occasions and always in much better shape then wall paper, so for personal preference and long lasting I choose fabric for most of my projects. ... moreI also included a copy of a lithograph on the inside of the lid to add a touch of history.
