And is probably American Made(it is not marked ... moreanywhere) The chair looks to be machine made. Because of the turnings of the front posts, but it could be partially hand made. It is solid oak. It has been painted 4 times. Possibly originally. There are only scattered chips of paint, but on a couple I was able to determine that the chair has been painted pink(originally? Light blue. Dark green. And this current pea green. In that order. The chair is super strong and could probably hold an adult with a butt small enough to fit into it. The width of the seat is 12 1/2" x 11 1/4" The chair is 21" tall. 15 1/2" wide at the front and 12 1/2" wide at the back. The rockers are 21" long exactly. The arms are nicely cut in kind of a early American style. The back has 2 2" slats and the seat has 5 2" slats; they are not cracked. There is no structural issues with this chair. Please see the Description Section where I go into detail as to condition. The paint has dulled and taken on a nice patina of its own. But this chair has not been painted in decades, and in fact, the tone of the green has a certain" 1950's" coloring to it. As I state in the Description Section. This paint on this chair could be lead base. Or Kemtone. A brand name paint from the 1950's that adhered well and perhaps also had lead in it. For this reason, I would say this chair is more for an adult to decorate with than it is for a child to use. One of the nicest very nice early to mid- 20th Century children's chair you will see. Up for auction is this wonderful Lane Cedar Antique hope chest from the early 1900’s. The chest has a tray on top. The chest is in wonderful condition with only one mark that I found on it. The chest measures 47” long. 18 ¾” deep, 19 ½” high, inside chest is 15 ¼” deep, 44” long, 16 ½” wide. When I went to list this the lock will need to be replace and Lane is replacing them free. Rare Antique Walrus Seal Leather Suitcase Travel Case NR!
This is a wonderful antique walrus or seal leather suitcase with original hardware and leather straps. Handle& buckles. It is in remarkable condition for it's age! Nothing is missing as far as I know. It measures aprx. 22 1/2" x 13" I would describe it as a large suitcase, please see pic with wine bottle for best reference. I listed it in this category because of lack of choices, I believe they are pre 1900. I do not see a makers mark, there is a name on the front closures hardware but I can't make it out, there is also patents pending on the front latch and I think the number 118(can't be certain about the numbers) The inside looks nice too. I do not know what the material is that the inside is lined with. It is clean, no strange or musty smells that I detect. Looks like all the original straps& buckles are ... morethere for the inside as well. There is a section that snaps in the center of the case that looks like it is for papers or maps or something to keep rather stiff, please see pics. The leather on the outside is very nice with a wonderful antique patina, I have not cleaned it, I will leave that to buyers preference. There are some white spots and wear, that now looks like a light brownish suede rather that the grain leather, again please see pic. I believe the white spots are typical of leather and can be removed with a cleaner/conditioner. I am selling it as used and as is. I am also selling separately, it's mate, a smaller square(more of a hard shell case) they are a set. This is a large heavy suitcase hence the shipping charge. Up for bid is a creatively restored Antique Child's. Doll or Toy Trunk! This fully restored trunk is PRECIOUS and is ready to be used! There's no need to avoid handling this trunk in fear that you might cause further damage to a 100 year old trunk. It's as strong as it is beautiful.=) The outside measures approximately 12" long. 7 1/4" tall and 7" wide. The inside is 4" deep on the bottom and 2 1/2" inside the lid. The picture frame will hold an approximately 3 1/2" x 5" picture. I'm hooked on these little trunks because they add the charm of an antique trunk to your home without taking up so much room! They can hold trinkets. Jewelry, little treasures or you can show it off in an antique doll display. These beautiful little trunks make AWESOME gifts! She received the trunk for Christmas on December 25, 1906. I researched the name and found that there are still Bullerdicks living in Brazil Indiana.too cool. Some of the repairs: Brittle paper was removed. Wood cleaned& sanded, joints glued, nails tightened, and screws replaced with nails. The wood was stained, sealed and waxed. Brittle leather handles were replaced. Leather finger pull added. The narrow black bands that were once decorative paper. Were replaced with painted cardboard bands that were attached with dozens of little clinching nails. The cardboard lid was painted to match the rest of the stained wood. You are bidding on/ buying an ANTIQUE 1920s GENUINE COWHIDE LEATHER STEAMER TRUNK. I come across quite a few suitcases. I have yet to see one in as good a shape. And as unique a design as this one. It is the size of a small suitcase. But shaped like a trunk. It measures 24 inches across the front 13 1/2 inches deep, and 10 inches tall. It has steamer style straps. Silver accent hardware, all original. It almost has a walrus or elephant texture to the hide of the material. You can see the patterning up close in photo 12. The top part of this piece expands up about 3 inches if you fill it to do so. If not it sits flat. Photos 8& 11. There are 2 straps around the case. In great condition. On the front of the case there is a lock latch, and 2 securing latches. All 3 in good order. Inside looks good. All the straps there are in great shape ... moretoo. Syracuse Cabinet Company cedar chest in very good condition. This comes with the original label inside and is made of maple with solid cedar lining. This comes from my mother's estate and she had a note inside saying this was originally purchased in 1928 and she bought it from the estate of original owners in 1984. Had the trunk appraised at $3000. Did research and think the Colonel B.A. Reeve was in WW11 and Korean wars. There is a tag on the side that is an agency and has his flight from New York to Maxwell AFB. What I can read from the tags date is 1951. Rust and has a dented corner. Latches work great. Missing insert and leather handles or broken. All original the way it was when I found it. I am very honored to have own it.

Large Square Flat Top Vintage Steamer Trunk
A rare and wonderful trunk in deep navy blue with orange stripes and initials. The stripe and initials were custom painted so the owners could quickly identify their trunk. In excellent condition this trunk has everything from original travel stickers to all original inserts. Leather and brass trim. The only thing missing is the key. The trunk probably dates to the earlier part of the twentieth century. The trunk is very heavy and large mostly likely made of laminated wood. It is 25 inches across the front and back surfaces and 22 inches tall and 22 inches deep. A brass plaque on the top corner proclaims it was made for Lord& Taylor. Samsonite was founded in Denver Colorado in 1910 by Jesse Shwayder a luggage salesman at the schwayder trunk manufacturing co. A religious man Shwayder named one of his initial cases as Samson(which is the one I have here} after the Biblical strongman. The metal latch that closes the trunk says Shwayder trunk manufacturing Denver colorado. The 2 metal pieces on the sides that hold the handle says Shwayder Samson Denver. The label on the inside says Samson luggage Shwayder trunkmfg. co. Denver colorado Trade mark registered five men one samson suitcase. The handle it self also says shwayder. Vintage Miniature Lane Cedar Chest From Altavista Virginia, Remember These
Remember this from the early 1900s. Here is a little history on the Lane Company in Altavista Virgina that produced it. No key for it. Lane began producing miniature cedar chests in 1925. Five years later. The firm's sales manager converted these miniatures into a great promotional idea: the company invited young women about to graduate from high school to pick up a free miniature chest at their local furniture store. By 1984 more than 15 million prospective Lane customers had received these promotional gifts. It was March 1912. And a man named John Lane had purchased a box plant in Altavista, Virginia. His son Ed Lane, twenty-one at the time and with little manufacturing experience, was encouraged by his father to try his hand at starting a chest factory in the newly acquired plant. Since the Lanes didn't know how successful their ... morenew venture was going to be, they didn't want to put their name on it, so they incorporated the little company as the Standard Red Cedar Chest Company, with John Lane as President and Ed Lane as Vice President and General Manager. From cedar chests, Lane expanded to occasional tables in 1951, casegoods in 1956, and accent pieces in 1965. In 1972. Lane bought a small reclining chair company in Tupelo, Mississippi named Action Industries. Action Industries was founded in 1970 by Bo Bland and Mickey Holliman. Action sustained tremendous growth through gains in market share and product diversification over the next 20 years becoming a major force in the upholstered furniture industry. Today, the wood and upholstered divisions have become Lane Home Furnishings. There is a leather handle that is not included in the height measurement. This locker is covered in Big Ten. Southeast Conference and ACC school pennants. They all have wear to them. There is a center lock but I do not have the key. There is a"H.F.B" monogram on the side. The locker does have wear to the sides. One side has"waves" on the surface of it. The other side has a few horizontal breaks in the covering of it. I show these areas in my photos. There is a drip of white paint at the top of the locker on one side. Fantastic pair of identical sized louis vuitton cube trunks. Very rare to find 2 of these in the same size. Especially the cube trunks. Trunk#1-Outstanding Louis Vuitton trunk commonly referred to as a"Cube Trunk" due to its cube style shape. This one is in very fine condition and dates to 1903. Initials NP. Highest grade model with the early hand woven linen monogram canvas. Real leather trim, and LV signed brass locks, side handles, and hardware as well as a zinc bottom with rolling casters. Size is 24x17x21 high which is perfect for a side or end table. Original webbed basket is included and the interior is very nice. You wont find another cube trunk in this condition at this price.
