Antique Early 20th C Camel Barrel Domed Top Traveling Trunk C1909
Desirable small size"Camel" Barrel Top Trunk. Fully Restored. Unknown Maker. Very similar to a 1909 trunk catalog reference, available from current owner. The interior is lined with white acid free paper and wheat paste was used as the adhesive. This is how it would have originally been done in circa 1900. The insert is original and recovered in white paper. The bonnet or hat compartment and parasol compartment lids are fiberboard as original. The lock does not work and key is missing. All nails/hardware used during the restoration are time period correct(square cut nails) It measures 18" x 28" x 16"

Antique Hand Painted Chest of Drawers in The French Style
This is a very nice hand painted french style serpentine front chest of drawers circa 1900. Not sure were it was made I bought it in England. But has a french look to it. The sides there has been a little veneer lifting but is pretty solid. There is also one escutching to the bottom drawer missing were the key would go. It has dovetail joints to the drawers they are solid wood and run fine. I think also at some time there has been 2 drop handles replaced but the back plates are original. Antique Vintage Cedar Chest Caswell-Runyan Co. with unique swing out drawers
Caswell Runyan was a Cedar Chest maker from Huntington. Indiana that later became Lane. This chest is from around the early 1940's. Has a rare unique feature in that the drawers swing out allowing access to the lower part. Good condition has minor cosmetic flaws to the outside of it. Also, I have no key, but all you do is twist the lock part and raise the lid. The inside is like new condition and smells strong of cedar. The original tags are still inside of it. On one tag it says that this chest contains more than the 3/4" of Red Tennessee Cedar than recommended by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. up for auction is a very rare one of a kind dresser secretary chest of drawers this one came from Grand Ma Webb(step Grandparent) was bought from a big name motel going out of business in late 20 early 30's is in the Mission Arts& Crafts style was made from a single cherry tree. I was able to count the rings on the top side it is 19 inch wide matches sides and drawer frts with an added 4.5 inch wide to make the top 23.5 inch wide the rings 11 to 14 per inch add up to 110 year old cherry tree crotch cut very rare and hard to make, the maker had to hand cut french dovetails in across the top to slide the drawer sides in to keep the top from warping up"that is why they alternate the grain on 4 inch planks" instead of the way this was made, he also had to bridge up the bottom of the top boards from warping down for the same ... morereason and double everything, quite a feat with only hand tools no nails no power tools back then just dovetails and mortise and tennon pined,everything except drawers and sliders were all made from the same cherry even the frame all matching all from same tree, I have only seen one dresser in a book that was made similar but all mahogany and it was around $80 grand, I would have never had a chance to own this but unfortunately the office caught fire,I understand befor the fire the dresser was insured for $13 grand, has no fire damage but some smoke damage in the 1960's in the 80's it was stored in the formans grove house till grannie passed and it was given to me bless her thank you grannie so much, this is a huge chest of drawers or dresser or? Mea 59 1/2 inch tall 70 1/2 inch wide 23 1/2 frt to back, approx 300 pounds and the weight is a guess I do use the freight estimator it is very close easy to use this is a good one the only name I could find other than all the bday sigs was a cherry vally in large script type lettering hidden away under the frt secretary door and the door has to be re-moved to actually see cherry vally and I am not sure it is a maker mark

This is a really neat heavy cast metal lock/latch which I believe came off a very old steamer trunk of sorts. It's in good used vintage condition with some surface wear and tarnish and I believe a tiny crack by the bottom bolt that you can't see from the front and doesn't seem to affect its use whatsoever.please view pictures for any further description/condition. Offered is this attractive vintage Queen Anne style"Cavalier" cedar chest. Built by the Tennessee Furniture Company in Chattanooga. Tennessee. The Tennessee Furniture Company was founded in 1865 but didn't begin using the"Cavalier" trademark until 1923. I believe the company went out of business in the late 1950s-early 1960s. Making this chest at least 50 years old and possibly as much as 90 years old. The chest is 45" wide. 32" high and 19" deep. The inside dimensions of the storage area. Made from Tennessee red cedar. Are approx. 41 1/2" wide, 14 1/4" high and 16 1/2" deep. All of the front"drawers" are false. I think all of the hardware is original. The cedar interior of the piece is like new. But there are some problems with the veneered exterior: The"foot" of one ... moreof the front legs is damaged. Both ends of the fan emblem are missing. One of the very thin pieces of molding that outline the"drawers" is missing(bottom of top"drawer" The top has a good deal of scratches. Scrapes, etc. Scratch Cover has made it look better. But you might want to consider refinishing the top unless you plan to cover it with something. The front and sides are in much better shape. The original key is included. But I could not get the lock to work. Maybe you can. The lid latch works fine. However. I have this listed as"pickup only" because of what would probably be a very high shipping cost. However. Antique Vtg Red Cedar Blanket Hope Chest Bedroom Furniture storage CEDAR CHEST
I have up for sale a very nice vintage original circa 1920s- 40s Cedar Chest. The chest is in very clean original condition! It measures approx 45-1/4" long. 20" deep, approx 19-1/2" tall which includes the 1" castor height. The chest is in Excellent Condition- nice clean original finish- strong& sturdy- has a flat top which would be strong enough to sit on- that is unless you are over 300 lbs then I would not advise it. Some normal light age wear as one would expect. The only damage to note is a fairly inconspicuous chip/ slivered off piece- located on the front lower right. Shown up close in pics 10& 12. This is not something that is very noticeable at all, the sliver was done many years back and it has been stained over and the only way you will notice it, is if you look upclose with scrutiny. There is some ... moreslight wear to the metal bands, but its very light- nothing serious. The hinge works perfectly and the little metal elbow for holding the top up, when opened,works just fine. I do not have the key for the lock and not sure if the lock works. This is an awesome rustic vintage Gibraltarized Hartmann Cushion Top Wardrobe Trunk! It would make a great addition to your house: You can use it for storage. A coffee table or even convert it to a liquor cabinet.great possibilities and awesome character! Hangers and drawers are included. The trunk also has the initials"S.G.P. on it! The main lock was broken by someone else to get into the trunk so that is not functioning(you can see in the pictures how the lock has been bent) This is believed to be from the 1920s and thus certainly has a lot of cool vintage wear. The bottom side of the trunk has parts where the black coating is missing(seen in pictures) The cloth is old and has wear to it from the years of travel. The cloth on the back/bottom of the bottom drawer is coming off visible if you remove the drawer all the way(should be easy ... moreto reaffix it) the cloth is also coming up some on the actual trunk if you remove all of the drawers it is on the bottom when standing up. Heavy large black vintage trunk. Possibly art deco? The outside looks like leather. The insert maybe wood. It's heavy and made really well. There is no hanging lock with a key. There are some markings- 1932 underneath the whole of the lock and above there is marking: Long Lock" The size is 31" long x 17" wide by 13" high. Can be a great coffee table with inside storage.
