It is made of solid wood, I believe it is mahogany and has beautiful grain. It is ... morein exceptionally good condition, for an antique, but does have some light surface scratches on the finish, but not many. There are a couple of small areas of veneer loss. These areas are on the right side edge of the top at the back on both the right and left sides, and one small area on the bottom drawer front next to the front leg. The dresser has a beautifully curved front design similar to a bombe style. The chest of drawers has reeded accents running down both sides at the front that continues onto all four feet, which are straight and tapering. The drawers have the original oval bail pull brass hardware on them. The drawers have dovetail joints. The dresser is 40.75” tall, 42.

This is a beautiful vintage piece with minor wear and tear. But in excellent condition for its age. I would prefer to have this item go for local pick up only. But if you are not local and wish to purchase this item, then I would be willing to sell it to you as long as you agree to handle the shipping arrangements. C196) Small Mahogany Chest of Drawers. One Drawer Corner Gone and Bottom Missing Inside Brace Needs Re-gluing This unusual chest measures 11 ½ wide by 6 7/8” tall by 6” deep. It appears to have its original brass pulls and feet. It has lost the both upper corner of one of the top drawers as well as having a chip on the other drawer. Its bottom is missing so the secret compartment cannot be used correctly. The inside of the chest looks new. Especially the pine. It appears to have its original high gloss finish. Much of its earliest construction was glued together. The supports for the top two drawers are loose, but rather than repairing them we are leaving that for the new owner. This appears to have been off at one point and then crudely tacked back on. Louis XVI style mahogany brass mounted chest of drawers with a marble top. Made circa 1930. This is a very decorative neo classical chest of drawers with clean lines that would work well in either a neo classical or contemporary interior. The dimensions are, height 37" width 47.5" depth 19.75" Condition: The marble top has been professionally restored, look at the photo of the underside of the marble.
