The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Local Pick Up is best for this large. Beautiful and well taken care of item. It worries me to ship it as I have seen very few table such as this. However. The way this is constructed, it appears it can be taken apart ~ legs removed and lower shelf removed, for possible shipping. Because of its size and weight. The spindles are flat on the side that faces your back so that its nice and comfy. Seats were recanned 7 years ago but have been used since then and have wear where they need to be recanned. All have the bent wood Hip Huggers to strengthen that back joint. It's a superior design for longevity. These are antique chairs and have been used and have signs of wear and character. This is an antique Yale& Towne Mfg. Co. wood and leather trunk from the turn-of-the-century. Trunk belonged to Paul"P.J. Kruesi of Chattanooga. Tennessee. Mr. Kruesi was a pillar of the community in the early 20th Century.see his bio below. AWESOME CHARACTER. Great for display/decoration! Trunk measures approximately 32 x 19 x 13 inches and weighs more than 40lbs. It has numerous pings. Lovely box with a beautiful honey colour and patina. Has overall design of black painted woden lozenges. Lock is intact but no key. This is a very nice original. The box is unfitted. Up for consideration is an unusual pair of vintage Widdicomb hand painted diminutive 4 drawer chests or nightstands. The chests are both tagged in the upper drawer. They measure 20 inches wide by 14 inches deep by 27 inches high. They are heavy and constructed of oak with wonderful hand painted complimentary floral scenes on the front. There is some old gilt work along the edges. The chests are heavy and well made. Please note that the paint is a bit distressed meaning if one was to start wiping them off there would be some light flaking. From a good clean nonsmokers estate. Bally made cedar chests and other wood products in Bally. PA until 1931. My parents had this cedar chest in their bedroom for as long as I can remember and now I've had it for the past 30 years. Lovely. Vintage, Late 1940's or early 1950's, Lane Cedar Hope Chest. Chest measures approximately 47-1/4" wide, 22-3/4" tall and 18-1/2" in depth. The Chest is in the Art Deco Style. There is a top self which is divided in two parts with original green felt liner. The chest has the original paperwork included. The locks were repaired with a safety lock in September, 2013. New key and instruction sheet included. The underside of the chest has style number 2231, and serial# 846230. The inside of the chest is in good condition. The outside of the chest shows signs of age and has some scratches and wear, from being relocated a few times, but is in good condition for its age. The three rear hinges open and close well. Vintage Industrial Wood Trunk Crate Case Foot Locker Blanket Chest Toy Box
This wood crate has a nice warm finish and interesting hinges. A latch has been removed from the lid. And there are two handles, one on the end and one below where the latch was. The cabinet has an interior lining that is like corrugated cardboard. The trunk measures 31" L x 19" W x 13" T. The interior measures 28.5" L x 15.5" W x 9 3/4" T with a 1" of additional height inside the lid. This is a nice sized trunk that would work great for storing items, stood on end for a display, or as a low end table. It can be stood on end easily due to the lack of the handle on one end. This unique item is a vintage wicker storage basket. Dating back to probably before the mid century. The wicker basket itself is assumed that old. No one knows if it was built as a house or if that was done later. However, this is not just someone's craft project. The house has been around for at least decades, but could have been built that way in the first place- just am unable to get that verified, as a fact. It measures approximately, a little over 22" high x almost 13" wide x almost 11"deep. Not sure what it was originally intended for, but nowadays, it can be used as a laundry hamper, a trash can after a plastic bag is placed inside, general storage, or just as decor. Vintage Wood Bound Steamer Trunk, Excellent Condition, Wooden Suitcase
Vintage wood bound steamer trunk. There are no identifying marks on the hardware or trunk other than the number 75 below the keyhole on the latch. I believe this trunk was made in the UK as the estate I acquired it from had many vintage items from Europe. However that is not for certain. I am not a collector and know very little about old trunks. So I have taken pictures from every angle so you can see the entire trunk. Please note the third picture, upper left hand corner, a small piece of material is missing. Also note the last picture.the wood banding was broke and repaired at some point in time. I will be happy to supply more detailed pictures upon request. Dimensions are approximately 34"w x 11"h x 21"d(not including handle) The latches are functional. But I do not have a key. Vintage Antique Burberry Luggage
This item is a authentic vintage burberry storage trunk in top condition with very few minor scratches in the wood which are unnoticeable from a short distance. This is a rare vintage trunk that survived decades with almost no damage and came from a smoke free home. The antique trunks outer design is not the common burberry nova check pattern. It is the older"classic burberry nova check" pattern that was introduced in the 1920s,they are similar, with a few differences. The background has a light yellow undertone, and the vertical lines are a light pink unlike the newer pattern where the lines are red. I took an up close photo to show the specific detail on the pattern. The classic Nova Check pattern does not have the faded knight insignia like the newer pattern. If there are any deviation from these well-known patterns it is an ... moreindication that the item is fake. The classic nova check is on a vinyl coated canvas and the parallel and horizontal lines align perfectly from top to bottom with no inconsistencies in the design.as shown in the picture) which verifies its authenticity. The trunk has all the pieces of metal hardware still attached which are the signature burberry gold and silver tone color. The stitching up and down on the straps and handle align perfectly in a straight even line with no inconsistencies or loose stitches. Loose stitching and poor alignment are an indication of a fake. From the top to the bottom the trunk measures 12 inches tall and from front to back it measures 13 inches. On the top of the trunk it measures 22 inches from left to right. The gold flip lock has little wear and the burberry knight holding the B Prorsum flag can somewhat still be seen etched into the hardware. which is seen in the up close photograph. This is a rare. Beautiful piece of artwork that would accent any home and would look great in a window display in any boutique or store. Antique England Peerage Brass Slipper Box-Chest/Trunk
Antique brass slipper box made in England by Peerage- still has part of the Peerage sticker on top of lid. 12" H x 17" L x 11.5" W. This is an old piece and does show it's age. Brass is tarnished- needs cleaning. Bottom raised wood pieces that it sits on have split apart on one side(the piece is inside the trunk to be glued on or fixed if you want) making it sit lopsided. Some brass nails are missing from around the edges causing brass to pull away from box. Lid has area on right top where particle board has broken off. In doing some research on the tag I know the company used this style from the 1930's to the 1950's when the company closed. I believe it is from the 1940's. The quality is just incredible. It is all original with nothing missing. Re-glued or repaired. The detail is just so beautifully done. It is one solid piece. I am selling as is with no returns. You are viewing an absolutely beautiful antique Steamer trunk. It has been artfully restored to bring out the wonderful woodgrain. The base is Cedar. Not sure what kind of wood the very top of trunk is. But it looks nice. The dimensions are L31" W20" and H22" It has a slight arch to the top. Probabaly won't work as a coffee table unless you put a piece of glass ontop. It comes with a pull out tray and lock with working key. It has 4 free rolling casters on the bottom to aid in moving. The trunk was treated with 3 coats of Polyurethane by Minwax to protect it for many more years. The tin was painted satin black by Rustoleum. All hardware was painted in metal flake gold. The handles are original, but held up very nicely. Christmas is coming upon us soon and this would make a great gift for someone. This trunk is certainly ... morenot brand new. So it does have its share of character flaws. There are dings, dents, cracks, holes and stains in the wood. There are dings and dents in the hardware and metal trim.
