This trunk is probably 100 years old. It looks a little redder in the photos than it really is. It still has a lot of the the original tin hardware and paper lining inside. It looks like there once was a tray that fit into the top. But it is missing. Also, the handles on each side are missing. In addition. There is a strip of wood trim on the front right that is missing(see 8 th photo) The trunk holds together nicely. The 7th photo shows where the boards do not completely meet on the bottom. Antique Walrus Seal Leather Suitcase Travel Case NR!
This is a wonderful walrus or seal leather antique suitcase. It is in remarkable condition for it's age! All of the hardware and leather handle etc. is there! The front hardware works. But one side is a little stiff and the closure can pop open, an easy adjustment I would think for someone who knows what they are doing. It has a beautiful antique patina. The category that I have placed in(due to lack of choices) says 1900-1950 but I believe it is pre 1900. There is some splitting and cracking of the leather on one end, exposing wood? please see pic for best description. I have not tried to fix it, the leather is very old, again I will leave that to buyers preference. The inside is a beautiful cream colored satin. Up for auction is this beautiful wooden trunk. This is smaller in size than the much larger once that are usually listed. It overall dims are 26" long by 14" deep(front to back) by 13" tall. It comes with the key but the lock is missing. The face plate is there so it isn't affected cosmetically but the lock assembly is gone. Very rustic looking chest. The wood is very light weight like Cedar but the knots give it the look of Pine. The crack across the front gives it a great look. The channels and groves in the wood are from bugs and worms and give it one of a kind characteristics. Awesome in my eyes. This definitely has that Pirate Treasure Chest look going for it(except for the red lining inside of course) Very sound and sturdy yet looks to be made long ago. Pictures tell the story. This beautiful early 1900's chest of drawers with small mirror was an estate sale find. It had a thick layer of white/yellowish paint covering it. We stripped the paint and took it back to its original wood color. We did not apply any stain and just let the natural color come through. We did add a clear coat of lacquer to bring out the natural color and protect it. It has 2 small drawers on top and 3 larger drawers on bottom. I am not an expert. But I believe this is Queen Anne style of furniture. It has cabriole legs on front and it is on casters. It is made of solid walnut-the only veneer pieces are on the sides. Up for auction today is this set of heavy duty trunk or tool box lift handles. They are made of heavy steel. They measure 3 1/2" in width by 3 1/8" in height. The handles extend 2 1/8" when up. They are stamped either 37 or 87 on the back. These are of a two piece design. When in use the mounting base has a stop built in so the handle only goes to the straight out position to prevent your fingers being pinched. This Louis Vuitton Monogram Garment Luggage Bag is a true vintage and in fair condition. It has traveled the world and has been stored carefully but does show its age. It was found in a New England estate sale and has all the proper markings of Louis Vuitton. It has a very RARE stamp on wood. It was purchased from the same estate as Louis Vuitton steamer trunk and both items very appraised very high due to its origin. Age, and uniqueness. It a true collectors' treasure! All the straps are in good working order and do show signs of wear but are in good condition and appear to be strong. Time has taken a toll on the handle and top of it has come apart from the leather strap– it is still usable but the wooden laminate should be repairable. ACME RED CEDAR HOPE CHEST SOUTH BEND INDIANA 37 x 18 1/2 x 15 1/2
Early 1900's Red Cedar Chest Made by Acme Chests. In South Bend Indiana-Acme Chests Burned down on July 4,1916 from fireworks and they couldn't afford to rebuild and they never made another chest. Inside this chest measures 34 1/2" long, 15 7/8" wide, and 11 3/8" deep with lid open. Closed it measures 37" long, 18 1/2" wide and 15 1/2" in height. Looks to have been upholstered in vinyl or Naugahyde. There is a cut/tear in one corner, a hinge is missing a screw. Chest has wooden handles on sides for carrying. And lastly there is a crack in the bottom of the chest.

Super nice doll trunk. Made in Britain on lock. Looks to be all original. 15 1/2" x 8 1/4" x 8 1/2" Lock works but no key. Painted red& black trim tin outside with wood interior. Paper lined interior with children. Cats, dogs and christmas tree. Leather handles do have some numbers on them but I can't make them out. If there was a tray it is missing. No returns or refunds. 1920's Antique Black Auto Trunk by Eder Mfg.
This is an auto trunk from the 20's or early 30's in excellent condition. It has well-maintained a classy look. The trunk is covered in a bonded leather type material. It is textured like leather but a small tear in the front reveals a fabric backing. It may haven been painted at one time. Though I can't tell for sure. Dimensions are 32"x15"x15" Handle on right side has ripped, though both pieces are still present, and there is a small tear in the material on the front. The corners are all reinforced by leather pieces. Each strap and corner piece is secured by gorgeous rivets. The interior material is in pretty decent shape. The fabric along the sides and on top is original, while the bottom has maintained most of the original paper. There is a small crack on the interior of the front board. It appears this trauma ... moreoccurred at the same time as the tear in the material on the exterior. I suppose it likely collided with the corner of something rather dense at some point. The company's emblem is placed a the bottom right corner of the trunk's front. The locks are completely intact and look fantastic. Sorry, don't have the keys. I love this trunk! There are a few on line for sale in the UK and on 1 st Dibs but you don't see these available for sale very often on eBay. It is currently being used as a coffee table and is packed full of the owners photographs so it makes very useful storage too. I have done some research and it looks as though it may have been made back in England late 40's early 50's. The interior has a faded red fabric lining and a top tray also lined in the same fabric. I looked behind the lining and the trunk is thin wood under the aluminum. It measures 40" long by 20" deep by 21" tall. Leather handles on both sides. One is a little dry. The center latch won't stay up on its own and there isn't a lock. The 2 side latches work. It is covered in scratches on the top and has a water stain. The sides and back have ... moresome light scratches.and a few tiny indentations. No holes! Normal wear and tear based on age and use! There are a few light marks in the lining. Vintage trunk. Not sure of date but early 20th century? On casters. Oak wood? not entirely sure, metal, not lined on inside. Leather straps not present, perhaps ripped off. I do not have the key. Used. Still has lingering musty smell, but I have been trying to eliminate that naturally. Thanks Martha Stewart! No chemicals were applied to this trunk. Has initials E.A.B. Maybe those are yours?
