Here is an American Standard alcove tub from 1959. It is in'Regency Blue' with a left-hand drain. It is in good overall condition with minimal rust but almost every surface is lightly scuffed/scratched. The floor's enamel is worn with the remaining outlines of tread stick-on shells ... morefrom the previous owner. There are a few spots on the interior where the enamel is scratched, and there are a few small chips here and there throughout. Please check out the photos for condition. The drain hole has a little bit of rust showing but not much. A rust sealer should keep it from spreading prior to installation. The overflow hole shows a bit of cracking in the enamel, though that should be covered by the overflow assembly. There is a large chip on one of the edges. Though this should be covered by tile once installed(see pics) This isn't cosmetically perfect, but it's a well-used survivor. If you can live with some cosmetic imperfections and wear, then this is a great tub! Antique Vintage 'Chase' Bath Tub Drain Overflow Assembly 1930's
Here is a very cool and unique old complete'Chase' tub overflow/drain assembly. This was removed from a home that was built in the 1930's. This has an internal stopper. And it's controlled by a lever that moves from side to side. All components are brass. Both the drain flange and strainer have lost most of their plating. But the strainer has a very unique design that I've never seen before(very Deco) The waste shoe has some dings on it from removal, but it is not cracked or distorted(pic 12) The overflow cover plate houses the lever. And both are fairly scratched/scuffed from years of cleaning. The lever itself does have some dings and there is one small gouge on the overflow cover plate(pics 4-8) The action on the lever is nice and smooth, there looks to be a spring-loaded pin that runs against a guide to give it a little ... morebit of drag. It just feels well-made! The set will be broken down into components for shipment. There are no rubber gaskets included. And I would also recommend replacing the packing at all of the compression joints. Antique Vintage American Standard Tub Faucet with Spout 1920's
Here is a nice old'Standar d' tub valve and spout. This was removed from a 19 20's-era home. The handles appear to be replacements(probably 1940's or so) The ori ginals would have been porcelain cross-handle pieces. The spout has a porcelain escutcheon and a trim ring with set screw that keeps it tight to the wall. The finish on the spout. And original trim are more like a nickel color, while the finish on the handles is more like a bright chrome. All of the porcelain pieces are in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. There are a few small spots of discoloration but overall they are very nice. The handles have scratched/gouged caps. But they are fairly clean with good shine. They are cast zinc. Both stems open and close freely. The stems and escutcheon ferrules are slightly scuffed with spots of missing plating, see photos ... morefor condition. The spout has mis sing plating all over. As well as some gouges and scratches here and there. The brass nipple will remain in the spout. I' ll leave the choice of removing it up to yo u. All of the shiny bits on this faucet would benefit from a re-plate. But you could certainly use as is if you don't mind lots of patina! The original cast iron mou nting bracket i s included. This is an original hot/cold faucet for a claw foot tub. I'm not sure of the composition as it's not an area of expertise. But I do know that the hot and cold buttons are porcelain. They have no cracks or chips and just a bit of wear of the lettering. The handles move freely. And aside form cleaning up, this appears ready to go. Antique Vintage American Standard Tub Controls With Spout 1960's
Here is a nice old tub control valve and spout. This was removed from a 1960's-era bathroom. This could be used as a shower control(without the spout) Or as a tub-only control. There is an adjustable sleeve that threads onto the valve body to adjust for wall thickness(see pics 6-7) This style of trim was found on American Standard fixtures in the 1960's. It appears that all trim pieces are chrome-plated zinc. All trim pieces are in very nice shape. With a few nicks and scratches here and there but nothing terrible. The worst is a scratch across the cold knob, but most of the other imperfections will be concealed when all of the pieces are installed. The spout has spots of worn/scuffed plating. And a few small dings on the front(see pics) Both of the valves/stems move freely. Though I would expect to rebuild/replace all of the washers ... moreand packing before use. The inlets are 1/2" copper sweat connections, and the spout nipples are still installed(see pics) The set will be broken down into components for shipment. I believe it is chrome over brass although I cannot see any brass showing through any where. It is complete with washers and pipe nuts. The pipe ends are 1" and it is 3-1/2" center to center. It is hard to measure but the widest points are approximately 20" x 17" It weighs about 7 pounds unpacked. The other piece may go to a kitchen or bathroom sink- again. I am not sure. Antique Vintage Kohler Tub/Shower Controls With Spout 1960's
Here is a nice Kohler tub/shower control valve and spout with shower pop-up. This was removed from a 1960's-era bathroom. The valve body is a pass-through design. So you could add another valve set above it in series for a separate shower control or simply block it off. On this particular set, they had short sections of capped pipe to act as hammer arrestors. The shower head trim escutcheon is also included which matches the set, the opening is 3/4" diameter(see final pic) All trim pieces are in nice shape. With a few nicks and scratches here and there but nothing too bad(see pics) There are light scuffs on the knob faces and some jaw marks on the adjustable trim sleeves(see pics) Once installed, the marks on the sleeves should not be seen. The spout has spots of worn/scuffed plating. And some large wrench marks on it from removal(see ... morepics) There are also some mineral deposits on the underside of the spout around the opening. Both of the valves/stems move freely. Though I would expect to rebuild/replace all of the washers and packing before use. The inlets are 1/2" copper sweat connections, and the spout nipples are still installed(see pics) The set will be broken down into components for shipment. Here is a nice Kohler tub waste drain/overflow assembly that dates from 1960. This was removed from a Kohler tub that dated from 1960. Also available! All of the chrome is in good shape, and it operates as it should. On the overflow plate and drain stopper. The re are light scuffs on the chrome that is most likely from a slightly abrasive cleaner(see pics) There is very light pitting on the drain trim as well. But overall the pieces are in very n ice shape. This is for an antique early 1950's mint green cast iron tub and cast iron sink. The tub has two recessed seats and a unique angled design. Antique Vintage Tub Diverter Controls With Spout 1940's
Here is a nice old tub control/diverter and spout. This was removed from a 1930-40's era bathroom. There are no maker's marks that I could see. But my guess would be'Central' or'Speakman' I'm also not sure if the diverter lever is original. All of the faucet trim pieces are in fair shape. With a few nicks and scratches here and there but nothing terrible. There is some light pitting in spots as well, see photos for details. The escutcheons are stamped brass, with some light scuffing and swirl marks from years of cleaning but the plating is decent. The ferrules are a little chewed up from wrench jaws, the close-up of one represents the condition of them all. The spout has spots of worn/scuffed plating. And a few small dings here and there(see pics) Both of the valves/stems move freely as well as the diverter.
