Great patina, and very practical. It measures 39" wide x 17" deep x 52-1/2" high with the splash, 49" high to the flat top. The top overhangs a little on 3 sides. There is a latch for each drawer, but just one catch works. The other is missing the slide and white handle. I might find one to replace it. But for now it is as pictured The finish is satin in nature. Maybe j ust a wax finish? not qui te sure. I t is as it was when taken out o f a b eau tiful estate in Pennsylvania. Great Great Great Rare find here. 2 drawers slide nicely. Two doors close nicely too. There are 2 fixed shel ves. Inside is painted blue. T&G back. I believe it to be chestnut but could be oak. The useable space inside each drawer is 3-1/4" tall x 9" wide x 5" This sturdy. Cabinet is in good primitive condition, with wear and several repairs. The drawers are sturdy and well made. And they open without sticking. This primitive chest needs a new home with someone who understands that a few scars and repairs just give you more character! CONDITION: The top of the chest has a visible repair on both edges. The top left edge has a fairly clean repair. But the repair on the top right edge is more obvious because there is a small chunk of wood missing. This repair does not look the best, but the top of the cabinet is not loose. Wood shrinkage caused a small split on one side. At the bottom edge, as shown below. The split is stable, and it will not be a problem. There is some thin white paint spatter in the same area. The finish has some wear, and there are some nicks, dings and scratches. The drawers are very sturdy and well made, but they have a few old stains inside. The drawer pulls are securely attached, and problem free. NO ODOR. The repairs and damage are shown in the images below Due to size and weight.
