The Rubber Mold First the artist creates an original sculpture out of any number of media. Including stone, wax, clay, wood and pottery. This image is coated with a silicone rubber molding material that makes two rubber mold halves(each rubber mold has a front and a back piece) A fiberglass outer shell is added to the back of each mold so it retains its shape and rigidity during subsequent uses. These molds are the only components that are ever re-used in the casting process. All other components are re-created for each casting. The Wax Positive Once the molds are done. The insides are coated with layers of wax. The halves are then bound together and wax poured inside to complete the wax image being created. Once the wax has cooled. The mold is peeled away, yielding a wax image(the wax positive" duplicating the original sculpture. This image must then be"touched-up" to remove any seam lines. Rare Original 19th century antique print circa 1894 This print is over 110 years old TITLE: The Boy Luther at the House of Madame Cotta In 1497 aged 14 Martin was sent to the Franciscan school at Magdeburg. Here his master often flogged him. There was then a custom(only recently abandoned comments Wylie) of scholars begging their bread.They went singing from door to door. I'm beginning to suspect that they are from the same source as the last collection as bindings and condition are very similar as well as the fact I can't believe there were two major collecors of boy's fiction living within 10 miles of each other(but who knows? There are hundreds of single issues of The Magnet which I will be listing in due course.

This is a wonderful vintage porcelain Napco figurine entitled"Little Vet" Shows a little boy with a stethescope around his neck and a little puppy at his feet that he has just finished treating. There is some very very light crazing(cannot see unless you look very very closely) otherwise it is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. L@K WHAT I HAVE FOR SALE. A vintage mounted two poster D. M. Ferry Seed Co. Posters. Burlap backed and mounted in a 24 1/2 by 20 1/2 vintage fine condition wood frame. covered wire hanger and slightly worn brown paper backed frame. Posters are 9 inches wide by 13 1/2 in. tall. Boy and girl as shown. I know these are either considered antique or vintage as they were purchased in my family in the early 70's at an antique store and marketed as antiques back then. They were hanging in the home for all these years. However. Last year in a family move, were accidentally placed for brief period under a basement air conditioner condensation line. A very few drops of water got on this framed collectible but did stain the burlap. Those drops did splash on the posters and quickly dried off- I'm sure can be cleaned off. The burlap may need to ... morebe changed. I have decided to sell the entire collectible as it may be more desirable to a dealer or collector to have that way. Heavy poster board is about 1/8 in thick. Sold as is. Some fading for age but mostly color is still very good. Water drop stains on upper part of poster as seen in pictures. Mostly likely very cleanable. I do not see any tearing. The girl poster was slit cut out of original package or poster on extreme right edge but not torn.
