Along the same lines as Hans Wegner's"Cigar" chair design for Getema, these beauties were also made in Denmark in the 1950s and just as well made. Unlike so many of chairs in this style that appear on Ebay. These are not a combo of woods or a generic hardwood stained to look like teak. They are each 100% SOLID TEAK throughout(sides, seat, arms and back) with removable upholstered seat and back cushions. Great looking from any viewing angle and they provide excellent comfort. Cushions are the original heavy inner spring design, so no fear of them loosing their shape verses just foam. Upholstery is a wonderful neutral oatmeal color woven wool, so will match in any color scheme decor. Seat backs will remove so each chair can ship in its own box via UPS oversize. measurements Overall each chair measures 31.5" high by 25" wide by 29" deep. The seat cushion is 20" wide by 4" high by 21" deep. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat is about 17" high at the front tapering back to 14.5" at the rear. condition Excellent with just light age and a handful of very minor soil marks on the cushions. They are hard to see and in no way warrant needing to be redone as the fabric is in overall excellent shape. Straps looks to have been replaced at some point. Silvis of Pleasant Unity. PA who was awarded this for 100 hours of service. The medal is identified as being used 1933- to 1954 and upon examining the BSA National logo on back it was Boy Scouts of America Headquarters, New York City and this was used from 1913 to 1945. So this probably dates to 1944 or 1945. This is engraved"100 HOURS" It has a crude clasp on back. It measures about 1 7/16" or 36mm wide at the top piece and overall 3 1/16" or 77mm high. The gold tone octagon shapped bottom metal measures 1 1/8" or 29mm wide on all sides. Vintage Boy Scouts Red Wool Jacket 1960’s CONDITION: This jacket has all the buttons and has the Boy Scouts of America Official Jacket tag still in place. All of the seams look good and tight and I don’t find any holes in the jacket. This jacket has a small tag of a name above the Boy Scouts Tag. It does have a small white spot in the bottom hem in the front. It also has a small black spot next to the white one in the front and a few smaller black spots on the back of the jacket. There is also a small spot on the back of the right sleeve. Please see pictures of these spots. These spots may come out when cleaned but I will leave the decision of cleaning up to the new owner. SIZE: It measures 20 inches from side to side just under the arm pits. The length of the jacket from the bottom of the collar. At the seam in the back, to the hem measures ... more28 inches. He was the founder of the 1st Hazel Grove Scout Troop based near Stockport Cheshire, there is loads of information regarding this gentleman on the 1st Hazel Grove website The flag has no makers mark i can find it is a yellow hessian material with the lettering and wolf head sewn on. Measurement stamped on flag as 42x25 inches has a few areas of what looks like moth damage but overall in good condition for age would make a fantastic display item
