This highly attractive reproduction American Chippendale Highboy emulates closely after the Philadelphia work centers. Probably crafted during the last years of the 19th century, the entire case is crafted by hand with thick solid walnut planks for primary surfaces. All secondary woods are heavy solid planks of oak, poplar and chestnut. The drawers are hand dovetailed front and back, the bottoms chamfered along the edges and set in grooves in the drawer frame. The brilliant brass batwing hardware is original to the case. The broken-arch pediment boasts robust carved rosettes set beneath a deep molding flanked by flame carved finials. Of the eleven drawers lining the facade, two are embellished with recessed shell carvings, the knees and apron likewise showcasing detailed shell forms. The entire case rests over cabriole legs terminating in trifid feet. This is an absolutely gorgeous reproduction for anyone passionate about the American Chippendale form. Remaining in an exceptional state of preservation. This is a piece that was built to last many lifetimes. Measurements: 82 1/2" total height(top is 51 1/2" high. Base is 32 1/2" high) x 41 5/8" wide x 23 1/2" deep Condition Report: Minor dings and abrasions. Surface wear, etc. Refinished at some point in the 20th Century. Part of an estate sale purchase. I am selling a large quantity of boy scout memorabilla from 1937 to the 90's. This jacket is in very nice vintage condition. There is a small wear spot about 1/2" in diameter on the left arm elbow as seen in the above 4th photo. 23" pit to pit across front chest. 32" from shoulder seam to bottom, sleeve 26" from should to end of cuff. Boy Scout Mugs- WOOD BADGE 1987; THUNDERBIRD; NATIVE AMERICAN WAYS 1995 & 1989
This is: a group of 4 mugs from the Heart of America Boy Scout Council. Several have a Native American Flavor. One has Thunderbird District with Native American decoration on one side. Next is Sharing Native American Ways Seminar 1995 with buffalo silhouettes. Kind of artistic. Then Sharing Native American Ways 1989 with a fleur des les Scout symbol. This one is marked on the bottom as decorated by Busy Bee Enterprises, Akron Ohio, although made in China. Last is Wood Badge Reunion, 1987 with Scout Leader on front and poem by Rudyard Kipling on back. The first three have the wide open shape, 3 1/2" wide and tall, the last is more the narrow and tall type mug, 3 3/4" tall and 3" wide. Condition: Good condition overall. They are marked with the piece number X-7975 on their bases and still have the Napcoware/ Japan stickers- as shown in last pic. My guess is that they date from sometime around 1960. They are a pair of Christmas carolers- the boy holds a book of Christmas carols and the girl holds a small tree. Both have some sort of material hair. Each piece measures approximately 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 5 3/8" tall. Both are in very good used condition with no cracks. Chips, etc. Both do have a smudges of black on the back. ... moresee next to last pic close-up. Not sure if this is dirt that can be cleaned off or if it is smudges of paint from when they were made. That metal part is still securely held, but it probably would be best not to use it for any active endeavor. Great collectible, though. This is an antique paperdoll once offered as a premium with the purchase of McLaughlin's Premium XXXX coffee. Measuring just under 5 inches doll. This folded paper doll features a curly haired young man holding his string. His collared"sailor" suit has the insignia of an anchor on the back and the front shows the boys' hands holding a kite. This paperdoll is marked as"McLaughlin's XXXX Coffee coyright 1894 J.Ottmann Lith Co N.Y. on the back. The inside of the sailor suit describes the doll as being part of a set that could be collected with purchases of the coffee. The doll is in good condition. Without wear. The sailor suit has a very small defect at the shoulder which appears to be glue residue, perhaps left from the original packaging.

Sterling Dutch Boy With Tulip Pin Brooch Cast Vintage 50s
This is a vintage little Dutch boy. Complete with the stereotypical hat, haircut and wood shoes. He's carrying a tulip, just to really drive the point home. The piece is marked Sterling on the back(it refused to photograph, although my pack rat's naked eyes saw it just fine) along with two cast marks that may be Dutch hallmarks. They may also be casting artifacts; they're blurry enough to make it impossible to be sure. The pin measures about 1 5/8 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide. These pins were popular in the 1950s, which from the fittings on the back is right for this one too. There is a fair bit of wear to the rhodium plating used on it back then, which just makes it look better to some people. It's had a life, and been around, and makes no bones about it.
