The chest boasts cock beading edging to the drawers(a sign of good quality) and the drawer linings are constructed of top quality oak. There is an elegant working brushing slide to the top of the chest. The chest sits on splayed bracket feet and in between there is a very pretty shaped frieze. The backs of the chest feature pine back boards. The chest is constructed of top quality solid mahogany timber throughout. During this period. England was importing top quality timber from the colonies. This chest would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hall way or the bedroom.
