Approx 1840's-1860's is my best guess. Wonderful piece with a unique, deeply carved central medallion over a shell form drop. Shell carved knees to go with the finely formed ball and claw feet. All knee returns present, small drawer front molding missing over the front right drawer as seen. Some minor trim moldings missing. Hand chamfered drawers, square or rose head nails, hand pegged form, beveled molding edge, hand cut dovetails, fluted pilasters and a great mellow surface make this a very handsome piece of American furniture. Some imperfections to the surface that come with use and age. Secondary wood is hard yellow pine. The brasses are old replacements. A solid piece for sure! Please ask questions before bidding.
