Just showing light signs of wear associated with it's age and having no damage apart from one tiny dink to the aluminium shade. The springs are good and strong, enabling the lamp to be positioned exactly as required. The maximum height obtainable is a little over 90cm and although the electric cable has been cut. It has clearly been rewired at some point, as there is an earth connection, so probably no rewiring required, just the cable extended. The original bakelite bulbholder remains and it seems that a nice blue bulb was in use when this was last illuminated. I will leave this bulb in place but have no idea if it still functions. All in all a very tidy and useful lamp. Having a heavy stepped base and with a length of cable added will be ready for use. Offered at less than £1, being an unexpected find, this must present the opportunity of a true bargain! If seeking decorative items for your desk.
