Artisan Crafted Modernist Art Deco Design Necklace & Bracelet set Silver Vermeil
This is a very unusual/unique Necklace and Bracelet set. It has no makers marks that I can find. This was purchased quite some time ago from an Estate sale. The information that I was given is this is an Artisan design and that the metal is that of Silver and Vermeil. With the exception of the clasp for the necklace-all of the necklace and bracelet are original. The circular/weaved pattern is impressive and unlike anything I have seen as far as jewelry is concerned. Both pieces are useable/wearable and are certain to bring many compliments/conversations. The necklace length is about 19 inches and the bracelet is about 8.5 inches and the width for both pieces respectably is about a 1/2 inch. There is no real signs of major patina/ and just a very faint tarnish in a couple of spots-a light buff/polish will shine up the pieces nicely. Vase stands 11 3/4" tall with an opening of 3 3/4" Inside is glazed in green. Handcrafted and signed on the bottom: Hencho A Mano Teotihuacan Mexico. Pottery is produced in Teotihuacan. Mexico and is known as the authentic Mestizo Ceramic and is symbolic of Mexico's identity. This was a ceremonial piece. Presented to a Mr. Randal and was A present from"Imam"ismila Baye. I was told it was from Guatemala. Honduras or I really forget.New Guinea? I discovered this on my garage sailing travels in South East Florida. I discover many cool things here, as there are so many people from all over the world living here& world travelers as well! It is 29" tall and the top is 13" across from furthest points& the base is 9 3/4" wide by 7 1/2" deep. The base is almost 1/2" thick. It is hammered aluminum with hand grooved etch designs all over, on both sides. You can tell it was crudely made with nails& two small screws holding the metal to the wooden base. The aluminum back has a split approximately 2" long.but that was done at the time of the making of it.you can tell because ... morethe two pins/nails were placed on each side. The wooden made dowel like part is nailed to the base on the bottom. It's a real real cool piece of history/art. The presentation writing on the bottom is painted on& could easily be removed with paint remover/sand paper& restained. This would make a very neat conversation piece for a business office, living room, dining room, bedroom or bathroom. I must of searched an hour or so on the internet trying to find out something about this piece, to no avail. I just couldn't resist it knowing that someone,on ebay would give it a lovely home! South American Folk Art - Three Hand Painted and Crafted Trucks w/Fruits on Top
These are three South American hand crafted and hand painted folk art trucks with fruits and vegetables on top. The larger one measures about 4 l/2" long and 3 l/2" tall and says Costa Rica. It is missing its front right wheel but still stands upright without it. A child's car wheel can probably be used to replace the missing wheel. Although the other wheels are made of wood. The second smallest truck says Colombia on the front and measures 3" long and 2" tall. The smallest truck says Dominicana on the front and measures 2" long and 1 l/2" tall. This one has a man sitting on the back end of the truck with bananas. These items are so intricately made with great attention given to detail. They are a true treasure of art. He has a metal cigarette sticking out of his mouth and his cowboy hat is metal as well. He is wearing a real sweater(dickey) and has a leather type vest with his sheriff's badge and 4 round buttons. He has a leather belt that either slipped a bit or was made this way. He has a metal gun and holster at his side. Over the years some of the glue has peeled away from his vest. But the glue is hard and the vest is hard so would not be an easy fix and really just adds to the charm. He stands about 12" tall and is about 4 7/8" wide at the bottom. Would look great in a rustic, western, or country setting. Except for the glue issues with the vest this great conversation piece is in very good used vintage condition and just needs to be wiped down a bit. Mid Century Empoli Italian Ruby Red Canary Yellow Hand Crafted Art Glass Vase 2
This auction is for a lot of two great looking mid century art glass vases. I found these items at a recent estate sale but I am not certain who the maker is perhaps Empoli Italian art glass. The are done in a bumpy hobnail pattern with a ruffled top rim. The colors are very eye catching in bright canary yellow and ruby red. Neither vase is perfectly shaped and they were most likely hand crafted. The condition of both is very good no chips or cracks. There is a questionable looking bump on the bottom rim of the red vase but in looking at it closely I am certain it is not a chip but from the making. Both vases have been used and have some soiling on the interiors. I washed most of it out and the rest should remove with a more aggressive cleaning. There are no water or residue stains that I see. I Make Few Bucks LET'S BENEFIT TOGETHER UP FOR AUCTION: COLLECTIBLE VINTAGE PRIMITIVE FOLK ART HUGE ROUND HAND CARVED PINEAPPLE PICKERS WALL PLAQUE The featured item represents a round hand carved wall plaque that measures approximately 30" in diameter. It's made of 4 wooden parts that are jointed together with metal dowels to form a full circle. The wall hanging depicts a scene with people harvesting fruits that look like pineapples. The pickers are placed randomly in different positions. Some of them are bending over. Leaning back, other are above the rest in horizontal position. There is no indication revealing the country of origin or year of production but the plaque appears to be quite primitive and made most likely by native folks living in Haiti or other ... moreCaribbean islands. The item comes in overall good condition. No cracks or broken pieces but rather normal vintage wear on the wood. As mentioned above the different parts of the circle are attached together with metal dowels but there are not all the way in so there are small gaps between them. They feel a little shaky and wobbly but one you hang it on a wall it wont be a problem. Its hand made nature make it unique and one of a kind. The plaque will make a great addition to any collection.
