Yellow Dyed Egg with Silver Braiding and Silver Foil Trim 1950s Spring and Easter Decoration. These came from a Stevens Point Estate and were packed with the Christmas ornaments. In a large box. They are real eggs, dyed in various colors. Then decorated with various gold or silver foil, as well as silver or gold braiding. They are very nice, but not as intricate as the Polish Eggs. However, a great deal of folk art talent went into these eggs as well. Chicken egg(from Wisconsin too. I believe) Dyed a bright yellow color. White and Silver center flowers glued to the egg. In various places. Outlined with thicker and very thin silver braiding. This egg also took a great deal of time to create. 2.25" and in very good condition. We are an older couple which are down-sizing. We now have valentines up in the house(Yes. Still as we cannot take ... moredown with all the snow outside our house. to much like winter yet) and a few weeks, Sharon will begin decorating for Easter. We used to decorate much more lavishly, but due to age, now she decorates three trees, baskets all over, and other Easter items. But only in the downstairs. Not upstairs as we used to. There is nothing wrong with these Easter items. These being listed today are in very good shape. They are vintage. Not reproductions. I guarantee that. Here is a small hand crafted. Studio, or amateur art pottery vase with unusual glaze coloring with a speckled tricolor appearance. Looks like a blue, a blue-green color, and grayish color overlapping each other, sort of a drip glaze affect. The base or bottom looks like a sand colored stoneware. No makers mark found. Measures about 3 1/4" tall x about 2 1/4" across widest part,with 1 3/8" across the top and about 1 5/8" across the base. Great condition overall, with no breaks, chips, or cracks. They are real eggs, dyed in various colors. Then decorated with various gold or silver foil, as well as silver or gold braiding. They are very nice, but not as intricate as the Polish Eggs. However, a great deal of folk art talent went into these eggs as well. Chicken egg(from Wisconsin too. I believe) Dyed a bright yellow color. Pink Sequins glued to the egg. In various places. Outlined in middle with white lace over pink satin ribbon. Pink satin ribbon divides the bottom half of the egg. This egg also took a great deal of time to create. 2.25" and in very good condition. We are an older couple which are down-sizing. This delightful hand-crafted wooden heart is made of reclaimed rough cedar and decorated with metal which has a rusted patina adding to its shabby chic appeal. The design features two metal hearts and a metal pocket with a rusted patina On a reclaimed wood heart. The pocket is charming empty but could hold a special picture. Heirloom, letter, flowers etc. The cedar heart measures roughly 20" tall with an additional 4" for the metal heart decoration that extends beyond the wood. The widest part of the heart is about 8 3/4" The wood is 2" thick and the metal pocket is 1 3/8" deep. The piece is in excellent used condition with no cracks, scratches or other signs of damage. This is truly a gorgeous piece of art. The pictures don't do it justice. Because you can't see that the black feather lines on the hummingbird's wings are a raised fine intricate black metal"overlay" on that part of the glass- stunning! Pictures 1-4 show the various angles so you can see the perfect condition of the glass. The wear showing on the metal base indicates that perhaps it was used as a vase at some point, because I can't think what would have affected the metal like that except water. I bought this at a local artisan's shop, so I didn't use it myself.
