Up in this auction is a fantatstic piece of Gustav Stickley. It is their# 55 three slot umbrella stand. Though we have also seen it called a walking stick or cane stand. It is depicted Straight out of the Arts& Crafts Mission era, it is pegged quatersawn oak. It measures approx. 21" x 12" x 29" tall. Note 33" tall to the top of the four peaks. It is missing its copper pan, but other than that in fantastic condition. We found the following on Wikipedia: Gustav Stickley(March 9. 1858– April 21, 1942) was a furniture manufacturer, design leader, publisher and the chief proselytizer for the American Craftsman style, an extension of the British Arts and Crafts Movement.
