This is a vintage Japanese chest of drawers. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. A tag on the bottom reads Made In Japan. The chest is constructed of lacquered plastic and it measures 4 1/2" X 3 3/4" X 3 3/4" It is in good used and vintage condition with a chip in the lacquer finish on the top drawer. 4 Antique Singer Oak Drawers for Treadle Sewing Machine Scrolled Frames 27 VS2
This is a 4 Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Drawers. Please note: There are NO frames. There are NO brass pulls in this auction. It is only 4 drawers. There are two left side drawers and two right side drawers. These drawers are found with scrolled wood support frames and would have ornate brass pulls on Singer Treadle Sewing Machines from the 1890's to about 1908. These are found with Singer models 15. 27 and VS2. These date from around 1903. The drawers are solid with a good original finish. They are a little dark with patches of dry finish. There are minor aged bumps. Scratches, scuffs and dings. The backs of the drawers are dark and the inner sides are a little dry. One drawer has a small white paint drip. The drawers DO NOT have ornate brass pulls, but I pictured examples of what would fit. These are very good replacements ... morefor aged and damaged drawers. All you need is the pulls and frames. Each drawer measures 4-3/4" wide x 3-15/16" tall and are 14-1/2" Your frames need to measure 5-7/8" x 10-1/4" x 14-3/4" deep. The holes for the pulls are 1-3/4" apart. Beautiful Cherry Wood Embroidery Floss Storage Organizer Chest with 4 Drawers
My picture taking skills are sorely lacking but this chest is stunningly beautiful. There is a small blemish on the lid in the right corner. It came to me that way when I bought it. Not too noticeable. This chest is made of Cherry Wood. The back is half Cherry Wood. It looks like thinner and rougher Cherry Wood. Each drawer sits on a full piece of wood the same as the lower back. Quite thick not flimsy. The bottom of the chest is the same wood as the lower back. The drawers front sides and back are Cherry Wood the bottoms are the same wood as the lower back of the chest. It is in pristine condition. The floss in the picture is for reference only and does not come with the chest. It measures 12.75" tall. 13" wide and 7.75" deep. It weights 10 lbs 9 oz. The top inset was done by me and is counted cross stitch. Hi. I found about 15 containers of these old miniature doll house acc, made out of wood, ceramic, cast iron and some plastic. These are believed to be from the 70s, 80s. Most of the material is in very good shape, alot of it is loose but I do have some material still in the boxes. I have carpets, acc. furniture, and even partial pieces for the wooden doll houses them selves. However I am in no way an expert with these.
