This is a beautiful Silver plated J.W. York and Sons Eb(E flat) Tuba made in Grand Rapids Michigan in 1902-1903. Approx. 33 1/4 inches high Serial Number 8084.Bell is 18 inches The chap that had this before my Dad had it for 55 years. It had spent 35 years in a barn in Detroit before he got it. It is all original(see note at bottom of description page) down to the J.W. York and Son mouth piece. Valves are crisp and smooth. Sound is clear and clean. Please see picture for better details. There are some minor dings that I have attempted to capture on the photos. Please note the biggest dent by the one hanger ring. The inlays in the valves are mother of pearl. The one strap hanger is bent a bit in towards the tubing. The bell is 18 inches. There is a slight wrinkling on the bell for about 5 inches, please see photos for better description, it ... moreappears minor to me but you should know about it. This is a fine musical instrument that needs a new home where someone can use and appreciate it. The set includes a teapot or coffee pot. And an open creamer and sugar bowl. The teapot measures 8 3/4 inches or 22 cm high to the top of the lid, and is 8 1/2 inches or 21.5 cm wide from handle to spout. The pieces all feature a low foot with a bulbous base that tapers at the top. All the pieces are engraved with a fancy design of arabesques and flowers around the top and bottoms. This is a wonderful old EP silver plated cocktail shaker complete with its original cork stoppers. It was made by the famous silversmiths James Dixon and sons The base is marked EP then JD&S and the trumpet in a flag trademademark. This mark was used between 1835 and 1920 It is 22.5cm high and 11cm in diameter. There are no dents. Dings, scratches that I can find but a few small black spots from its age. SHEFFIELD, Nonconducting Handle, 4 over 3283 over v" The SUGAR is very large almost the size of the teapot- this was more common in early sets. The TEAPOT measures approximately 5 inches in height and 11 inches from spout to end of handle. The sugar measures approximately almost 4 3/4 inches to the tip on the handles and 9 inches in length from outer edge of handle to outer handle edge. The creamer stands approximately 4 3/4 inches to the tip on the handle and 6 1/4 inches in length. The silverplate is in excellent condition with no wear through and the pieces. Which are not monogrammed, are heavily engraved with a pattern of floral garlands and scroll with ... morea shield/cartouche in the center. Vintage James Dixon & Sons JD&S Silver Plate Serving Dish ~ 1895
For auction is an ornate/ vintage serving piece made by James Dixon& Sons of Sheffield. England. Came from my mother’s family estate in England. I am not an expert on vintage silver. But I believe the numerical patent number dates this piece to 1895. Features three shell shaped dishes. Two of these dishes have frosted glass insert liners(I am not sure if the larger dish ever had a glass liner originally) Glass liners have a couple small chips along the edges(see pictures) Beautiful ornate handle and edges. The piece is 11½″ long. 11¼″ wide and 3½″ high to the top of the handle. It was silver plated by electroplating and the bottom is marked EP(although the“E” in the“EP” mark is missing) It has the JW&S mark with the trumpet and banner(this mark was granted in 1879) It has 5154 stamped on the bottom. This dates to the ... morelate 19th century. There are several other hand etchings on the bottom. I have not attempted to clean this piece… I will leave any cleaning to someone with more restoration background than me. Overall. I’d say, in good+ condition. Age-appropriate wear. This is an antique Cross Arrows William Hutton& Sons- Sheffield Silver Plate Wine Holder.It is hard soldered and from the early 1900's It is footed with two handles. Both of which are securely in place. It has a lovely open pattern design. The Cross Arrows mark is engraved on base. Piece is approx 7 1/4" in height and approx 5 1/4" in diameter at base.The diameter of the opening is approximately 4 1/2 inches.The piece is in good condition for its age but there are a few dents and scratches on it consistent with age but it still makes a very nice presentation when serving wine/champagne at a dinner or party.

Vintage Sons of Liberty Paul Revere Bowl reproduction crafted in 1978(No. 510/8) Made of silverplate. The diameter of the top is approximately 8" The diameter of the bottom is approximately 4 1/2" and the height is approximately 4 1/2" Leonard Silver Mfg. merged with Towle Manufacturing Co. in 1979. Meaning that this was one of the last bowls they produced under this name. Product was removed from box but never used and is in excellent condition. Includes original box. The box is a little worn. But the bowl itself is fine. I polished it as well as I could, but it may improve from a bit more.
