Up for bid is this creamer. Bottom is stamped"J E Caldwell& Co mfd by Reed& Barton Silver Soldered 094? 2 oz. I do not know much about it- from my research"silver soldered" indicates that the item has a very thick silver plating and the solder holding the different parts together is made of a silver alloy. The piece seems to be either VERY old or has had a LOT of wear(or both) as the details are worn off and it simply looks old. There seems to have been a monogram on the one side(left side when the creamer is facing forward- the side shown in first pic) I am not sure what the letters are as it is pretty worn off- it may possibly be"UL" but it is really hard to tell. The piece weighs 122g or 4.3 oz on my kitchen scale- it measures 3.25" wide by about 2.5" tall by 1.5" deep at its largest points. ... moreThe capacity is 2 oz as stamped. Shipped with insurance. Wallace 9750 Silver Soldered 2 Oz Hotel Miami. The creamer weighs a little over 3 ozs. and is tarnished and needs polishing. Most of my items have been acquired at estate sales. Two vintage heavy commercial restaurant ware pieces. In nickel silver, silver soldered, open sugar and creamer. By D.W. Haber& Son. N.Y. made for The Center Club, which is a dining club in Baltimore. The open sugar is 5 7/8" wide from handle to handle. And stands 3 1/2" tall, smooth interior with a textured exterior, the bowl itself is 3 3/8" wide. The small pitcher/creamer. Has a smooth interior and exterior, and stands 3 3/8" tall X 3 7/8" wide from spout to handle. Both are in excellent condition. Though the open sugar rim has a barely detectable bend in it's heavy, thick rim, in an area about 1" I am not sure if the camera picked up on this, it can be seen only under very close examination. This listing is for a vintage covered sugar bowl with a fancy mechanical hinged lid. The bottom of the piece is stamped: R. WALLACE 0168 SILVER SOLDERED. The top has a bail handle with arm attached to outer edge of the lid. When the arm is pressed down, it lifts the hinged lid up for access to the glass insert sugar bowl. The outer edge of the piece features a pierced repeated design of a bar with a circle above/below. The bottom of the frame is open with the glass insert visible. On top of the lid are 2 enamel pennant flags(possibly a house flag, yatch club, etc. and a curved opening for the spoon(not included) The flag on the left has blue blackground with red cross and in the center is a star and ... morethe flag on the right has a blue background with center silver band with 2 blue stars. The piece is in good, solid condition. I have not tried to polish it.The spoon opening is curved upward slightly, a small rim bent to lid where inset for spoon goes in-see photo.
