Meriden B. Company Quadruple Silver Plate Ornate Creamer - Antique
I found this antique creamer/hot milk pitcher and to be honest. I don't know much about it other than it is OLD according to the bottom stamp. Meriden B. Company is a well-respected name in the silver plating industry and it is a sought after name that collectors seek. The floral pattern is very ornate and is seen around the bottom; the handle and on top of the lid. I have not polished it but it appears to have more of a pewter type coloring as opposed to a bright white silver color. The lid has a couple slight dents which causes the top point to tilt a bit to the back. The inside is scratched as you can see in the pictures which is why I think it may have been used for hot milk or syrup. Stamp: Meriden B. The height is about 5.75 in. and from widest point on handle to spout about 5 in. wide. I found some information about Dufva: Axel Gabriel Dufva enterprise. One of the oldest silver-plate factories in Europe. Meridan. Ct- Set of Quadrupled Plated Sugar and Creamer Set. Very Ornate design with scrollwork on the handles and lower center of each piece. The top lip is fluted and the flower and leaf design on 2 sides is intricate and a pretty floral design. Very distinct pattern and style which I have not seen duplicated on Ebay. Height 3 3/4" and bottom width is 2 1/4" The mouth is 2 1/2" wide and total width, handle to handle on the sugar bowl, is almost 6" The creamer measures 3 3/4" from the handle to the end of the spout. The total measurement from the handle to the end of the spout is about 5 1/2" Truly unique, antique and numbererd 101, this set would look stunning on any table set for a dinner! Ornate Victorian silver plate footed creamer from Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co.
We offer this striking antique footed creamer from Simpson. Hall, Miller& Company. The heavily worked design presents an egg-shaped body resting on four feet with a scrolling pierced pattern. An ornate frieze encircles the upper body of the creamer with an engravable panel just below. In good condition though the plate is mostly gone. The base measures 3" square; the mouth is 4" across; the creamer stands 7" high. A prototypical Victorian piece in design in that there is no such thing as too much. For your consideration is this Antique Silverplate Creamer and Sugar Set with Caddy Tray Ornate Repousse Design Description: This is an antique silverplate creamer and sugar set with carrying tray/caddy. The creamer and sugar bowl are ornately designed with a floral repousse pattern. The tray measures approximately 8" tall from the bottom of the footed vase to the top of the handle. The base of the tray measures approximately 7 1/16" long. 4 3/16" wide at its widest, and 2 1/16" wide at its most narrow area. The creamers measures approximately 2" tall, 4 9/16" long(from handle to front edge) and 2 1/16" wide. The sugar bowl measures approximately 2 7/8" tall, 4 5/16" long, and 2 11/16" wide. The metal on the tray is nicely formed to allow the handle of the creamer to fit perfectly into the ... moretray. The bottom of the tray is marked"EPNS, A& C G, 287, and"90. Webster silverplate creamer and open sugar set. Both pieces bear the W spiderweb mark as well as an engraved 4698(scratched through) and other engraved numbers. Both pieces are also stamped 85 under the Webster mark.I believe this would be the shape/ form/pattern number and the engraved marks would be the markings of the decorators. As you see both pieces are in excellent condition.Still sparkling and damage free. The one thing I would like to make note of is that the top join of the creamer(inside) has a visible"dimple" It almost looks like the handle would be loose but I assure that it is still securely joined and safe for use. Here we have today is a lovely pair of vintage silverplate creamer and sugar. The creamer is 2 1/4" tall and 4 3/4" across from handle to the end of the spout. The sugar is 2 1/4" tall and 5 1/4" across from handle to handle. Both are in good vintage condition with no silver loss. They do have some surface scratches and both are marked made in Japan with a rising sun hallmark, I think this may be a Mulholland bros mark, can not be certain. Ornate Antique Van Bergh S.P. Co. Quadruple Plated Creamer & Sugar Bowl #25
This ornate set of antique quadruple silver plated sugar bowl and creamer was made by the Van Bergh Silver Plate Company. Rochester, NY, somewhere between 1892-1926. Both of them have the company mark and the#25 stamped in their bottom. They are heavily tarnished but they do not have any kind of damage out of some scratches from too strong scrubbing on the bottom. The sugar bowl is approx. 6" high with the lid and 6 1/2" wide with the handles and the creamer is 3 3/4" high and approx 5" wide with the handle. The good quality quadruple plating make them feel heavier, stronger and smoother to the touch. They can be very nice, decorative pieces in a collection or as a display items in a home. Antique Hand Chased Silver on Copper Sugar Bowl and Creamer. Sugar bowl measures 8X5 inches. Creamer measures 7X3.5 inches. This is such an ornate work of silver art. I have not found a mark of silver on this however it does not say silver plate. Research appears that most of this style was"Sheffield" and it was silver over copper There is a nice smooth silver area on the front of each piece for monograms however these are not monogrammed and ready for your own initials! The top has small figs and leaves. These are extremely interesting pieces and I obtained them from a very upscale home. Four Silversmith marks on bottom of each piece.

The creamer stands61/2" tall. The sugar stands over 8" tall and 7 1/2" wide handle to handle. Very extravagant Victorian design. Most of the silver plating is worn off. The glass insert in the creamer is Tree Of Life pattern. The glass insert in the sugar is a different pattern. Both glass inserts are in good condition. The base of the creamer has a slight dent. I am not sure if lid with ornate top pull is original to this piece; it fits loosely on the jar and the top border is similar but not exact to that on other pieces; the lid border also has several birds in the design. antique ornate s.p.c. silver plate over copper wood sugar creamer tea pot set
This is a stunningly large ornate set of antique late 19th century sterling over copper sugar and creamer. they have an abundance of very intricate floral detailing done in very high relief. the detailing is all hand done. Hammered, and engraved. if you look closely it is much more detailed and is quite eye-catching. the pot has a hand carved wooden handle and wooden finial they are held with silver mounts. the pieces are nicely footed with 4 ball feet and both signed on the bottom by maker"S.P.C. with maker mark the top opens and closes on a hinge by the wooden handle and has a great spout on the opposite side. the sugar bowl has a dual stylized handle and ribbed trim at the top. they are in nice shape with a shiny silver finish. they both have copper shining through at some raised spots but gives it a wonderful look. the pot measures ... more10 1/4 inches long by 6 1/2 inches tall and the sugar bowl measures 7 inches long by 4 1/2 inches tall. the wooden handle has two hailing cracks that are very hard to see. I've searched and searched and cannot find what this pattern is. A beautiful ornate pair to add on a table. large and unique. There are 8 puffed out sections and 6 sections have a crest with an ornate floral pattern inside the crest. There is one plain crest on the back and one the front is another crest but it has a monogram(which I cannot make out) but believe to be an"I" H" or"L" The handles are very ornate and each item rests on 4 ornate feet. Underneath is some kind of Hallmark, and then below that is"Sheffield Reproduction" below that is"Made in England" Items are in great need of polish and cleaning as the monogram and some indentations are turning dark. Measurements are: 4.25" to top of handle x 7.5" handle-to-handle. vintage Metal Ornate Creamer Sugar Dish Silver Tone Made in Japan Grapes/flowers
Hi. Here is a pre-owned vintage set of silver toned metal creamer and sugar. Looks as though used for display only. These are a small set and they measure Creamer-about 4" spout tip to handle edge and 2" wide at widest spot. It is 2" high. Sugar bowl-4-1/8" handle end to handle end and 2" wide. It is also 2" high. They look like silver plated but I am not sure. They need a little cleaning and maybe polishing. There is a brownish spot on the side of the creamer(see photo) but I am not sure if is tarnish or what. On the bottom of each, in raised letters Made In Japan. The insides have kind of a yellowish/gold tint. The last picture I show was taken with a flash and they look gold(they are not gold) I wanted the grapes& flower pattern to be seen in different lighting. Antique Sugar and Creamer Containters Colbalt Blue Glass in Ornate Holders
Just guessing on this one. I have not been able to find out anything about the trademark on these absolutely awesome sugar and creamer containers. They look Baroque-esk. A bit Gothic-y. Each is heavy and the blue glass comes out. On the bottom of the glass it says"Japan" On the bottom of the silver holder it says"Made in Japan" with the mystery trademark of a bear with a T in the middle. It's in the pictures. I'm sure someone out there will know what this is to help me better identify it! The holders have a gold wash on them. They are not magnetic and neither are the screws that hold the handles in place. Which are possibly a bit newer? Not sure at all. These pieces have not been cleaned and are sold as is. There appears to be no visible damage, cracks or chips in the blue glass or on the silver holders. They cup ... moreon each measures just less than 3" in diameter. The handles each add about.75" on each side. They are 2.75" high.
