Antique WILCOX Quadruple Silverplate Footed Sugar Bowl 1937 /with Double Mark/
This amazing antique quadruple plated footed sugar bowl made by the WILCOX Silver Plate Company obviously had some hard times during its long life. There are a larger and two smaller dents and one of the soldering at one of the handles got loose but none of these damages hurt the silver plating or the beautiful antique patina of the bowl. Besides this. Incised into one of its sides, the bowl features three gothic characters, my guess is that they are the"CTP" letters. Its another, probably unintentional characteristic is the doubled company mark on the bottom with the number"1937" Standing on its four ornate feet, the bowl is 7" high with the lid and 7 1/4" wide including the also ornate handles. Due to the ornamentation, the quadruple plating and its quality material, the bowl is a surprisingly heavy, sturdy ... moreand very decorative piece. SHIPPING: I ship it in the USA by USPS(Priority Mail or Parcel) in two business days after receiving the full payment ONLY through PAYPAL. Please. Let me know before you pay if you would like the item to be shipped differently as displayed in the listing. Richfield Plate Co Quadruple Silver Creamer and Sugar Bowl 2176 Wilcox Platter
This auction is for 3 vintage collectible silver plate items! The first 2 items you are bidding on is a Creamer and Sugar Bowl from the Richfield Plate Co. Quadruple. The production number from both items are 2176. I'm not sure of the age. But I believe they are between 1920's and 1940's. As seen from the photos, both pieces have incredible engraving, and appear to be an identical matching set. The other item included is a Wilcox Silver plate serving platter. From what I've seen. I believe this item is from the 1930's. Wilcox closed in 1941 due to a metal shortage from WWII. And after they resurfaced, the markings changed to Webster-Wilcox. So that would make this item pre 1941. As you can see from the photo. This item also has intricate engraving designs. On the bottom of the platter are the markings"Wilcox S.P. ... moreCo International S. Co. 7012 1/2" The winning bidder gets all 3 of these items. As you can also see from the photo's. All 3 pieces can use a good shining. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Please bid in confidence. I have been an EBAY member since 1999. And treat every deal with the utmost care.

Wilcox Quadruple Antique Victorian Spooner Sugar Holder - RARE ESTATE FINE!
For your bidding consideration a gorgeous Wilcox Quadruple Antique Victorian Spooner Sugar Holder. This is a rare find from a collector's estate sale. Please see all images for condition. It measures 8"x8" Facts on Quadruple: Victorian Antique Silver: Victorian Silver Plating The value of Victorian silver depended on how much silver was used in the mix that coated the items. You had the standard silver plating which used a low level of pure silver in the mix. But there was also such thing as triple and quadruple silver plating which simply meant three or four times the pure silver was included in the mix. Therefore. Standard silver plated household goods and jewellery would be much lower in price than quadruple silver plated items. Today, the same thing holds true as it is very rare to find quadruple silver plated Victorian ... moreantique silver being sold anywhere on the open market. Most people know their value and hang onto them. Passing them down through the generations. Boningtons Website
