Antique Reed and Barton silver plate 2629 lion figural creamer dated 1878
This is a really interesting Reed and Barton silver plate creamer. Pattern 2629, with a lion figural on the lid. This stands 8 inches from the bottom of the feet to the top of the lion's head. This piece has really intricate designs all over it- flowers, leaves, patterns. The feet are especially interesting with what looks like a daisy in the middle and lilies at the top. The handle has a ship where your thumb would go, and at the bottom of the handle is an arrow. The top is hinged, and works fine. The only wear issues are a very tiny ding on the side, and the front lip of the lid has a small bit of clearance and doesn't close completely. It doesn't seem bent, but just off a fuzz. Needs cleaning, but not too bad for its age. The bottom reads: Mfd and plated by Reed and Barton 2629 design pat. August 12. 1878. Shipping $5.00 within ... morethe US only. Paypal payment only. There are scratches on the outsides and the insides have pitted marks. The rim at the bottom of the creamer is bent but still stands straight. There is still an original sticker on the bottoms. There is also marked Reed& Barton with the#s on the bottoms. The sugar bowl is about 4" high and the creamer is about 5" high.

A vintage silver plated creamer made in 1941 by Reed and Barton for the Cuba Mail Line. It is in great shape having seen little commercial action. It has few surface scratches and a shiny interior. This little 4 ounce creamer is bottom marked with the clear and distinct name"Cuba Mail Line. It measures approximately 4 inches from the end of its spout to the end of its handle and is about 2 inches high. The markings on the bottom are as follows: the symbol of a lantern(which is Reed and Barton's date mark for 1941) Reed& Barton, Silver Soldered, 1400C, 4 oz, Cuba Mail Line. The Cuba Mail Line. Which serviced steamships out of New York to Havana and Nassau was more commonly known as the Ward Line. It was in operation from 1841- 1954. In 1934(because of a series of steamship disasters) the Ward Line name was dropped and replaced ... morewith Cuba Mail Line. Then in 1947 the company returned to using the Ward Line name. There are no dents that I can see or feel but I do see some scratches. It's very tarnished and maybe dirty and needs to be cleaned. It measures approx. 5" tall.

Offered is this wonderful vintage sugar and creamer made by Reed& Barton in the Regent pattern. Reed& Barton is still in business in Taunton. MA. This set has a nice substancial feel to it. The footed sugar measures 5 3/4" to the finial and approximately 6.25" handle to handle. The footed creamer measures 5" high. This is a striking pair in excellent condition.
