Silver Soldered ... more2 oz creamer. This creamer was made for The Gunter Hotel. It is in excellent condition and has little wear on it. The Gunter emblem and name is engraved on the side. On the bottom it has the name of the hotel and the numbers 05007A. The creamer stands 2 1/3" and 3 3/4" from spout to handle. Please refer to pictures. The historical Gunter Hotel is located in downtown San Antonio Texas and is now the Sheraton. It was built in 1909 and designed by John Mauran a St. Louis architect. On Nov. 23 1936 in room 414 blues artist Robert Johnson had a recording session. Talent scout H.C. Speir arranged a session with Brunswick Records to set up a temporary studio in the hotel. Johnson recorded a number of songs including blues classic Sweet Home Chicago. Again in room 414 were Johnson recorded back in 1936. John Mellencamp recorded a album in 2009 in the same room. Silver Soldered ... more2 oz creamer. This creamer was made for The Gunter Hotel. It is in excellent condition and has little wear on it. The Gunter emblem and name is engraved on the side. On the bottom it has the name of the hotel and the numbers 05007A. The creamer stands 2 1/3" and 3 3/4" from spout to handle. Please refer to pictures. The historical Gunter Hotel is located in downtown San Antonio Texas and is now the Sheraton. It was built in 1909 and designed by John Mauran a St. Louis architect. On Nov. 23 1936 in room 414 blues artist Robert Johnson had a recording session. Talent scout H.C. Speir arranged a session with Brunswick Records to set up a temporary studio in the hotel. Johnson recorded a number of songs including blues classic Sweet Home Chicago. Again in room 414 were Johnson recorded back in 1936. John Mellencamp recorded a album in 2009 in the same room. Meriden B. Company Quadruple Silver Plate Ornate Creamer - Antique
I found this antique creamer/hot milk pitcher and to be honest. I don't know much about it other than it is OLD according to the bottom stamp. Meriden B. Company is a well-respected name in the silver plating industry and it is a sought after name that collectors seek. The floral pattern is very ornate and is seen around the bottom; the handle and on top of the lid. I have not polished it but it appears to have more of a pewter type coloring as opposed to a bright white silver color. The lid has a couple slight dents which causes the top point to tilt a bit to the back. The inside is scratched as you can see in the pictures which is why I think it may have been used for hot milk or syrup. Stamp: Meriden B. A Derby Silver Plate Company Creamer and Sugar Bowl. Each piece is marked Derby Silver Plate Co in a circle surrounding a crown and anchor. The numbers 1111 are etched below the mark. The pieces each measure 2 3/8" in height and have a grape pattern. CONDITION: Nice. Obviously tarnished. And the handles show some wear. A few rough spots along the rims and some fleabite nicks along the bottom edge. I didn't want to clean or remove the tarnish, so both pieces will need cleaning. I purchase all of my items at auctions so cannot be sure of their history or whether they've come from smoke-free or pet-free homes. I do my best to list any damage or use. But I'm not an expert. This is a very cool vintage creamer from the International Silver Company. They apparently made a lot of this stuff for various hotels. Restaurants, railroads, etc. This one is from a famous Denver landmark restaurant, Baurs" The name is engraved on the side of the creamer. I got this one from my father in law, who was a Denver chef, years ago. I know it's old, but don't know how old. Something I think makes this a little more unique is it's size, it is 10 oz in size. Most of the one's I have seen around are 8 ounce. Antique Teapot New Amsterdam Company Silver Engraved Coffee Tea Creamer Sugar
Beautiful. Elegant and old, this teapot/coffee pot, creamer and sugar reminds me of day's gone by! The metal work is detailed, scrolled and beaded on the rim on each piece. The beading on the rims is different and unique. The set looks like each piece is engraved with a"J" at least it looks like a J to me, lol. Around the Initial area is a floral design. On the opposite side it is not decorated, just plain. The scroll work on the handle and spout on the creamer, sugar bowl and pot is very pretty. On the bottom of each piece it is stamped with New Amsterdam Silver Co. Quadruple Plate# 613. The height on the creamer and sugar is about 3 1/4" from the top of the handles; the mouth is 3" wide and the bottom is 2 1/4" wide. The Teapot/coffee is 5 1/4" high at the top of the handle; 8 1/2" from the edge of ... morethe handle to the edge of the spout, the mouth is 4" wide and the base is 3" at the smallest part. Antique Meriden B Company Quadruple Silver Plate Sugar and Creamer Set #1800
Gorgeous mid to late 1800's Meriden Quadruple plated sugar bowl and creamer set. Beautiful etched flowers adorn both pieces. No Monograms! The pictures do not do this set justice. The only flaw that I can see is a tiny dent on the lid of the sugar bowl. Other than that these are in perfect condition. Very clean on the inside of both pieces. These are generous in size and very substantial. Clearly marked on the bottom Meriden B Company Quadruple Plate and the pattern is 1800. I believe these are from the Aesthetic Era but I am not sure. Up for auction is a Victorian cream pitcher by Meriden B. Company from the 1870's. This 1935 pattern was manufactured with the tall stately legs and high collar. The cream pitcher is tall. Standing 7 inches, with a 2 cup capacity. The silver plate is in good condition as shown in the pictures and there are no monograms. The inside is exceptionally clean for an item of its age. There are no dings or dents and the etching featuring the peacocks and foliage is clear. Please remember that this item is from the Victorian age. And is used, not like new or in new condition. It has sat on many tables, held by many loving hands and lived an eventful life. This may have flaws which is part of the character of each individual Victorian or vintage item. This item is mostly clean and very shiny.like a mirror.It has little to no scratches on it,or ware and only a small amount of tarnish in the tight places,this item is very detailed in a modern Victorian style and was made in the late 1980s,the creamer is 4 3/4 inches high with cover,the top is 2 7/8 inches wide and it is 3 1/4 inch wide at it's widest part,it stands on 4 legs that are decorated with flowers and the cover has a very detailed handle that has a flower pattern on it,
