Stunning Quadruple Silver Plated Sugar Bowl Spooner Circa 1900 Original non-polished condition is this sugar bowl spooner from the Standard Silver Company out of Toronto Ontario circa 1900. Check the pictures for the amazing quality of the workmanship in this piece. Some pictures with flash and some without to better see the patina. The 12 original spoons are also in great shape. I have not sold on Ebay for quite a few years but my guarantee is still the same that everything is as described and your total satisfaction is my ultimate goal. Up for auction is this quadruple silverplate spooner by Toronto. Very ornate around top edge and base. Beading detail around stem. Can hold 12 spoons. One arm of one bracket is broken off and the other arm is slightly bent. Nicely shaped double handles. Large measuring about 8.5" to top of handle. Eight inches across handle to handle. Nice shape. Stunning Antique MERIDEN Silverplate Sugar Bowl w Lid ~ Creamer ~ Spooner or Waste This auction is for a beautiful antique Meriden 3 piece sugar bowl with lid. Cream pitcher and spooner or waste. They have a sleek Deco style with a raised ring around the lower quarter. The underside is stamped with 2 circles- Meriden B. Company with the scales in one and Quadruple Platein the other. The number 180 and U.S.A. are beneath the circles. The sugar bowl measures an impressive approx. 6/3/4" from handle to handle by 6 1/2" to the top of the lid. The cream pitcher measures 4 3/4" from spout to handle by 5" to the top of the handle. The spooner measures 5 7/8" from handle to handle by 4 7/8" to the top of the handle. There are a very few light use scratches especially on the undersides. There are no dents. There are some ... moreslightly darker patches but very little evidence of silver loss. The inside for the sugar bowl is clean and has nice shine. The inside of the creamer and spooner have some dark discoloration but have no apparent silver loss. Early 1900's Sugar Bowl / Spooner -- Bright Cut -- Bird Fineal
Early William Rogers Sugar Bowl/ Spooner Very Old mark-late 1800's to early 1900's Bright Cut design Structurally in very good condition- all the spoon holders are solid. One slight ding on the collar Although this style of bright cut was never a shiny silver. There is evidence of silver loss on the lid, base and body. Some people wonder why the sugar bowls were so large back then. Sugar often came as a cone or lump and you would scrape the sugar you needed with your spoon. I love the squirrel handles and the bird on top. It would make a nice display if you collect Victorian spoons. Maybe you'd want to"re-purpose" this to hold dog treats on your kitchen counter! Of course it's still very useful for its original intension-as a sugar bowl.

AESTHETIC Silver Plate Creamer & Sugar Bowl, Victorian, Antique Spooner or Vase
Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate. Large and ornate late Victorian creamer and sugar bowl in the Aesthetic Movement style. This pair was made by The Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden. Connecticut and date from the 1870’s-1890’s. They are style number 1919 which features repousse foliate decorations in a diagonal banner across the sides of each piece. These two have no monograms or inscriptions and their interiors are parcel gilt. The sugar bowl may have had a lid originally but it does not have one now. Measured at the handles. The sugar stands 7 1/8” 18 cm) tall, and the cream pitcher is 7 3/8” 18.8 cm) tall. Condition: This pair is in fair condition. As it has quite a bit of wear to the silver layer. There are no breaks or repairs and the only dent we found was on the top rim on one side of the creamer(see ... morephoto) Both pieces have many surface scratches. The gilt inner surfaces have worn some over the years and the gold is now paler than it was originally. The interior of the sugar bowl has pitting as one would expect to find on a piece that was used as a planter at one time. Offered here is an Aesthetic Victorian(1870-1900) piece with a great little bird sitting atop the sugar bowl lid. Which is the main reason I bought this. However I am still parting with some of my favorite things. As I just do not have the large parties like we used to and have run out of storage space. In addition the gracious curved handles each have a bitty figural squirrel/rabbit inside. As they extend from the urn shaped body of the bowl. I say a combo of rabbit and squirrel. This listing is for an Antique 100+ year old silver plate spooner/ master sugar bowl that will holds 12 silver plate demitasse spoons(included) It has a swallow on the lid and with squirrels on the handles. Spoons have been recently cleaned. Sugar bowl and lid have a dark patina that can be cleaned if desired. There are two small dents. Shown in the last two pictures. This dish has been used but is still in nice shape. This Master Sugar/Spooner bowl is made by Roger Williams Silver Co. in Providence. Rhode Island, USA. It is from approx. 1900. This silver sugar bowl measures 8 1/4" tall and 7 1/2" in diameter. The 12 demitasse silver plate spoons are 4-1/2 inches long. They are Oneida Community 1953 silver plate in the Ballard- Country Lane pattern. Spoons show normal wear.

Offered is this remarkable silver-plated footed sugar bowl/spooner featuring a domed lid with a bird finial that we think looks like a seagull. The sugar bowl has 12 spoon holders fitted around the middle. Six on each side between the two decorative handles. The spoon holders contain 12 demitasse spoons. The 12 silverplate demitasse coffee spoons were made by 1847 Rogers in a pattern called Coral. Which was patented about 1892. The Coral pattern includes a five-pointed flower on the front of the handle and a soft-shell crab on the back. We understand this pattern was made only in coffee spoons and oyster forks. The sugar bowl has a band of embossed flowers around the middle and around the base. The sugar bowl/spooner stands 9.75 inches tall(25 cm) It measures 8.5 inches(21.5 cm) from handle to handle. Vintage 1890s 90s triple silver plated spooner or sugar bowl. This was made by the Royal Manufacturing Company of Detroit Michigan. Loving cup style handles and gorgeous etched/engraved floral design as pictured. The Royal MFG Co made silver plated items such as this spooner and called them"triple plated" Possibly meaning they were electroplated three times to lay on a thicker coat of silver over- as one of its advertising flyers called the"white base metal" The company was active around the turn of the 20th century. It was also known as the Royal Silverware Co. in Detroit. MI. The Royal MFG Co made these claims: This is made from Brazil silver which is as lustrous and brilliant as coin silver.
