Offering this wonderful antique quadruple plate sugar and creamer set from New Amsterdam Silver Co. New York. The New Amsterdam Silver Co. was founded in the late 1800s and in 1904, it was renamed as Knickerbocker Silver Co. This is a fine example set for the silver plate collector. Both pieces are clearly marked underneath and numbered'605' Each piece is monogrammed with what looks like the letter'O' I can't tell for sure. The sugar measures 3.25" high(to top of handle) and 3" across the mouth. The creamer is 3.25" high and 3" across the mouth. Condition is fair to good- both pieces have issues and each has dents(please see photos) also the creamer has plate loss on the interior, hence the low price. Apollo Silver was founded in New York in 1885 to 1899 before being purchased by Bernard Rice's Sons who continued to use the Apollo name. I believe these to be early Apollo Silver items which are in well used condition and have a beautifully original dark grey patina. There is a rippled like appearance to the metal which makes it look primitively made and there is some discoloration around the rims. Sugar Bowl is 5.75 inches wide(handle to handle) by 2.75 inches high and the creamer is 4.5 inches wide(handle to spout) by almost 3 inches high. A beautiful addition to any collection. Antique Providence Silverplate Co. Quadruple Plate#412 Sugar and Creamer Set. From an estate and the silver salt shaker and silver bracket ring were stuffed inside. Measure 3.75 inches tall with approximate 12 inch circumference and 3& 3/8 inch diameter on top from outside rim to outside rim. Intricate scroll work design on handles and creamer spout. Etched flower design. Overall condition is good-they appear to be quite old. But have no known date. Half inch scratch on front of sugar bowl under the neck-could be from manufacture. Also small dent on the back side. Creamer has three very small dents on back side and corrosion near bottom of handle on back side. Salt shaker has no markings and the lid won't screw on and lid is corroded. This item measures 2.5 inches tall with 1 inch diameter across top opening. Vintage Middletown Plate Co. Quadruple Silver Plate Sugar Bowl w/Flowers #1421
Up for bid is a sugar bowl made by the Middletown Plate Company. It is quadrupled silver plated. It is stamped on the bottom with"Middletown Plate Co. Quadrupleplate" with a balance scale in the middle. On the bottom is the number 1421 and states"Hard White Metal" and the letters"B.C. CILT" photos 10 and 11) My research shows that the Middletown Plate Company with this stamp was founded in 1864 in Middletown. CT. Also, I wanted to know what"quadrupleplate" was, and what I found out is quadruple silver plate hollowware was some of the highest quality made during the later part of the 19th century. Within the silversmith and silver manufacturing industry. Items marked"Standard" silver plate indictated that 2 troy ounces of pure silver were used to silver electroplate 144 spoons, but"Quadruple" ... moresilverplate used 8 troy ounces of silver to plate the same 144 spoons. This creamer and sugar were made by the Eureka Silver Company. They are quadruple plated. The are tooled with a gorgeous pattern. The sugar bowl is 2 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches handle tip to handle tip. The creamer measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 5 inches from spout tip to handle edge. Both are in great condition. And very clean on the inside. The sugar bowl does have a few scratches on the inside bottom. The sugar spoon is marked 1835 R Wallace. Research did not reveal a pattern name. It is 4 3/4 inches long. This is a great Pairpoint creamer. Sugar& tray set with an Art Nouveau look. It is a heavy set. It has a handcrafted look about it with crimped, ruffled edges and a dimpled design on the sides of the creamer and sugar. The decorative handles look like they are twigs that have foliage or vines growing on them. The tray is very attractive with the same crimped, ruffled edge as the C&S with a ladder design running all the way around it. It is sitting on 4 very decorative feet that lifts it about 1" off the table and has a raised area for each piece to sit on. It is silverplated with an excellent patina. It is marked"Pairpoint Mfg. Beautiful Barbour Silver Co Quadruple Plate Covered Sugar Bowl
This is a gorgeous sugar bowl made by the Barbour Silver Co. The pattern is raised with tremendous detail. Each side is different. This is circa 1890s and seems to have a pitted area on one handle. I can't feel this spot but I'm not sure if it would polish out. The wonderful patina enhances the details so I will leave it to the new owner as to whether this will be polished. This is an elegant antique silverplate sugar and creamer set. The bottom of the pieces reads: Dowd Rodgers Co. Wallingford. CT; Quadruple Plate; 1454" The bottom of the pieces also has the letter D enclosed by a circle. Both pieces are clean and in excellent condition. They belonged to my grandmother; since then we have kept them carefully wrapped and stored unused for over 50 years. The sugar bowl is approximately 4" high. The creamer is approximately 3-3/4" high at its highest point. Both pieces have beautiful detailing around their top edges and graceful elegant etched designs on their bowls.

Up for bid is a once beautiful silver plated vintage sugar bowl. Part of the markings on the bottom look like it reads“Columbia Silver Co. Quadruple” and there is a 5 stamped on the bottom. This sugar bowl has several large dents. Some dings and scratches. It is heavily tarnished. It is hard to imagine how such a lovely piece could be so badly abused! Vintage Quadruple Plate Etched Flowers Sugar & Creamer Bristol Plate Co.
Up for auction is an Antique Quadruple Plate Sugar& Creamer by Bristol Plate Co. The sugar and creamer stand approx. 4 1/8" tall(not including the handles) and a little under 5" including the handles. The sugar and creamer are etched with a grouping of small flowers and leaves on both sides of both pieces. Both pieces are embellished with a raised decorative ring around the middle and have nice fluorishes and embellishment along their rims and at the top and bottom of the handles. Both pieces are in good condition given their age. The silverplate part of the finish has worn off on a few spots on the bottom half of the pitcher bowl below the spout and towards the bottom. The creamer is also slightly pushed in along the middle band on one side(about 7/8" long) and along the very bottom edge in one small area(about 3/4" ... morelong) There are some slight dings on the surface of both pieces. Antique~Homan Silverplate Co~Pattern2014~Quadruple Plate~Creamer&Sugar Bowl~1896
This creamer and sugar bowl are at least 110 years old. They were made sometime between 1896 and 1904 by the Homan Silverplate Co. These belonged to my husband’s great grandmother. These pieces are pattern 2014. These are beautiful pieces with an etched flower design. The creamer has a dent close to the bottom(see photos) The dent is about 1 ¼” by ¾” It is close the bottom so it is not very noticeable at first glance. I would say that these were probably used on a daily basis so they have minor dings and marks. Silver is hard to photograph because of the reflection. But I hope you can see how beautiful these are. I have polished these and it seems like some of the silver plate has worn off on the lid of the sugar bowl. The little handle on the lid does not even seem to me to be silver. It was very tarnished. But did not polish up ... morelike the rest of it did. There are probably other small areas where the silver plate is worn off. I am in no way a silver expert. More like a novice, so please let me know if you have questions or if I have erred in my description. Read below to see the history of Homan Silver and an explanation of what quadruple plate means. Very shabby chic set of creamer and sugar bowl. The patina has aged to a matte finish but they are still full of personality. Lovely outer surface condition; minimal surface scratches or marks; silverplate is worn in spots. Inside surface is rougher, but I believe was that way from time of manufacture. Has been only minimally polished. Despite how it may appear in photos. Surface currently has an antique satin sheen/patina, not a high silver polish. Sugar bowl is lidless; mouth opening is rounded with no seat rim for lid. Hollow handles. Lovely engraved/hammered design and ornamentation. Measures about 3-1/4"3-1/2" tall. The creamer nests on top of the sugar and that is the reason that the cream pitcher is slightly smaller than the sugar so that it balances beautifully and makes the pair unique. This auction is for 3 vintage collectible silver plate items! The first 2 items you are bidding on is a Creamer and Sugar Bowl from the Richfield Plate Co. Quadruple. The production number from both items are 2176. I'm not sure of the age. But I believe they are between 1920's and 1940's. As seen from the photos, both pieces have incredible engraving, and appear to be an identical matching set. The other item included is a Wilcox Silver plate serving platter. From what I've seen. I believe this item is from the 1930's. Wilcox closed in 1941 due to a metal shortage from WWII. And after they resurfaced, the markings changed to Webster-Wilcox. So that would make this item pre 1941. As you can see from the photo. This item also has intricate engraving designs. Here is a double-handled. Footed sugar bowl with no lid. It is signed on the bottom with the Forbes Silver Co. U.S.A. hallmark. This company was part of ISC. The trophy-like sugar bowl is about 4.75 inches tall and about 6 and 3/8ths inches across when measured across the top of the handles. The open mouth is 2.25 inches in diameter. An ornate letter"S" for the word"sugar" decorates one side. And there are beautiful repousse details with scrolls and flowers all around. The inside of the sugar bowl has some tarnish and some pitting of the silverplate. The outside. Though, is much prettier, if not perfect. There are some scratches and some dents here and there. The patina gives more character and will enhance any setting. They measure 6" Sugar covered bowl, 5 3/4" Jam bowl and 5 1/4" creamer bowl. They are all 3 1/4" tall and the sugar bowl is 6" tall. The markings say Richfield(Shamrock) Plate Co. Quadruple#2176. Photos show nice detail.

Early quadruple plate creamer and sugar. Great condition. Very useful for entertaining or to collect. Hard to find pattern, logo clearly marked on bottom. Victor Silver Co. quadruple plate silverware silver-plated ware produced by the Derby Silver Company prior to 1912 Pieces of Victor Silver Co. quadruple plate silverware are ornate and attractive. They are usually embossed with designs such as flowers and birds, often in an Art Nouveau style. Some items had a gold wash in addition to the silver plating.

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SUGAR BOWL– on the bottom: HARD WHITE METAL- BARBOUR BROS. CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE 327. Lovely classic. Yet simple, design with graceful handles and lid, probably from around 1900, but not dated. 6 ½” tall and 6 ½” from the tips of the handles. The base is a little over 3 ½” It does not sit level– teeters slightly- and I don’t know why as there are no dents on the base. A few tiny nicks on the bowl, but hardly noticeable. Needs to be polished if you like shiny things. I used it for flowers and it always looked lovely in the middle of my dinner table. Questions gladly answered. Sold as is.

Quadruple ONEIDA PLATE SILVERWARE MFG. CO. #60 SET TEAPOT Sugar Creamer
Although I will describe these items to the best of my ability. Please use the pictures as your guide. This is a four piece set. The largest item is a coffee pot or maybe a teapot. There is a creamer container, maybe two of them. One of the creamer containers has a lid, and one does not. The second largest item, well.I am not sure what it is, but tends to look like a sugar bowl. I will say, that for a sugar bowl, it is rather large, as you can tell by the yard stick I put in the picture. This set of antique kitchen ware takes on its own personality. I got them many years ago from an elderly woman who said they belonged to her grandmother, so I don't know how old they are, for sure. Each one is numbered with the same number, and I think it is the number"60" although it could be a"09" On the bottom of each piece it says ... morethe same thing, and it says: SILVERWARE MFG. CO. QUADRUPLE ONEIDA PLATE. Condition: The condition of each piece of this set varies. The large coffee pot/ teapot has a whole in its side. As pictured. It has also been repaired on the bottom. I am guessing, but I think the repair may have been done with real silver. The little creamer, the one with the lid, has also been repaired, or soldierd on the bottom, see picture again. Homan Silver Plate Co. sugar bowl- beautifully ornate. Marked on bottom Homan Silver Plate Co. Quadruple Plate- 2037/I assume this is a pattern number- Special Metal. Weighs 1 lb. 1/2 oz- 6" tall- 7" wide from handle to handle- top is 3" in diameter- base is approx 4" wide at its fattest. I don't see any obvious dents or dings but there are some minor scratches and marks which I would expect from such an old piece. I have not polished it at all. There is ver little. If any, pitting inside. I tried to do a little research on the Homan Silver Plate Company online and believe this piece is late 1800's to very early 1900's. I found one site which said that it became the Homan Manufacturing Company in 1904 which would date this sugar bowl before then. I am not an antiques dealer- just a person who loves the old ... moresilverplate pieces and sometimes I have too many! I think they are beautiful pieces of history and I actually use many of them. I love the connection of using something that someone else used 100 years or more ago. That being said. PIERPOINT MFG CO QUADRUPLE PLATE SUGAR & CREAMER #357
This is a beautiful silverplate sugar and creamer made by the now defunct Pierpoint Manufacturing Co in New Bedford Massachusetts. They are both 4" tall and 3 1/4" across at the top. They have a beautiful patina with what appears to be hand-graven floral pattern. I don't know my silver very well. But I do know these pieces are absolutely gorgeous. There is a small crease on the creamer by the handle and the bottom has a slight bend along the edge. It does not affect the way it sits on the table though. The bottom of the sugar bowl has a line on the bottom about an inch long. I can't feel it with my finger so it may have been a manufacturing mark. There are a couple of tiny dents on the bottom of the pieces probably from use. These pieces are almost 100 year old or maybe more. There are no dates.
