Circa 1895 antique Sterling SIMPSON HALL& MILLER CO. creamer and sugar set. This company was in business in Wallingford. Connecticut from 1895-1898 and then became International Silver in 1898. Cheerful embossed leafy design with wing-like filigree handles. Refreshing. Actually. Each piece measures about 2 ½ inches tall. 2 inches in base, and 4 ¾ inches from to end. The opening across top measures about 2 ½ inches across. This style does not have a lid. See photos of identification hallmarks on bottom. There is a crimp on the face of the creamer to the left of center if you were to hold the creamer with spout pointing left. I can best describe it as a fan shaped ... moreripple of dents. You can feel this crimp on the surface through to the interior. The sugar bowl has two more pronounced 1 inch dents both left and right of center that you can also see from the surface to the interior. The bottom of the sugar bowl has a couple of small dents on the side. But there are no problems with balance. Shipping cost includes insurance.

Ornate Victorian silver plate footed creamer from Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co.
We offer this striking antique footed creamer from Simpson. Hall, Miller& Company. The heavily worked design presents an egg-shaped body resting on four feet with a scrolling pierced pattern. An ornate frieze encircles the upper body of the creamer with an engravable panel just below. In good condition though the plate is mostly gone. The base measures 3" square; the mouth is 4" across; the creamer stands 7" high. A prototypical Victorian piece in design in that there is no such thing as too much. The book American Silver Plate by Dorothy and Ivan Rainwater. In the chapter Development of Styles list many of the Mask Patterns including this pattern on page 107. She gives Webster Silver Company credit for the pattern pictured in 1872 but many makers often manufactured the same patterns. Often a manufacturer would produce hollowware and sell to another maker to"plate" as there production. The cream pitcher is over sized standing 6.5 inches tall. The handle is sturdy and the inside is very clean and usable. The silver plate is also in good condition with lovely patina and shows no visible ... moreplate loss. Hall, Miller& Company. The sugar bowl measures 3 ¾ inches or 9.5 cm high to the top rim and is 6 3/8 inches or 16 cm wide from handle to handle. The creamer measures 3 inches or 9 high to the top rim, and is 6 inches or 15 cm wide from handle to spout. These two pieces feature a low round and ribbed foot which supports the bulbous form bodies. The handles have and exaggerated round form with ribbed detail where it meets the bodies. The bodies are further enhanced with large floral and geometric engraved designs. The top rims have a similar design to the feet. It measures 5.5" high with a diameter of 4.5" It can be used as a sugar bowl, to put treats in, or for decoration since it is a lovely piece. It has a few chips. Victorian Simpson Hall Miller Figural Aesthetic East Lake Large Sugar Bowl(Vessel) Up for auction is an unusual Victorian treble plate sugar bowl by Simpson. Hall and Miller in both the treble plate finish and the Butler finish used to replicate years of polishing by the butler. I also will have a creamer and a waste caddy up for sale as well. I don't know too much about this except a friend of mine who is 88 years old asked me to sell this for her. Her uncle gave it to her about 30 years ago and he was in his 90's at the time and said it had been in the family prior to that. The bowl is approximately 9-1/2" tall to the top of the handle and about 7" wide from the handle to handle. It consists of 8 panels. 6 of which have the aesthetic designs featuring Geisha girls, flowers and Japanese influenced design. There are no monograms ... moreon any of the pieces I have. The handles and finials are sturdy and the inside is usable. I have taken several pictures, but it is difficult to get the right lighting for these pieces. The company insignia is on the bottom as well as the words"treble plate" and"1874" We believe this piece to be made in 1874 because this company opened in 1866 and became a part of International Silver Co. in 1898. This piece was made in Wallingford, Connecticut. Please remember this is very old and not perfect. But I've taken pictures that you can look at. I have not made any attempt to polish or clean it. I will gladly combine shipments for most cost effective shipment. This item is from a smoke-free. Pet-free home. Simpson. Hall, Miller& Co. began in 1866. In 1898 it was one of the companies that was incorporated into International Silver Company, Wallingford, CT. The spoons are not original to this piece but are of the same era. JR& S(crown) John Round and Son(1847-1874) In 1874 the firm became JR& S Ltd. This is a beautiful example of Victorian Silverplate(quadruple) Sugar Bowl with 12 attached spoons.

The rim on one side is slightly deformed(see picture 3 or 4) or maybe it's just me.
