Normal age and use wear, minor denting, some plating wear on edges.

This is marked Mfg and plated by Reed& Barton(3330) The tea pot has dents on both side and a deep scratch on one side. This has gadrooning around the top edge and is 10" from spout to handle& 5.5" high. Lots of wear visible. The sugar is a large size with a lid- both the cream pitcher and the sugar bowl have some small dents and wear.

This looks identical to the Winthrop pattern 1795 but with different bases. The attractive aesthetics of the Winthrop Pattern is accentuated by the design of the lids. Nice sugar bowl is marked. Reed& Barton, 843" It was an anniversary gift in 1972(1947-1972" and couples names) so etched on the side. The etching is so light and worn that I didn't see it until checking for dings. Very pretty scrolled handles. 4.5" diameter and 3" tall. No dings, bends or dents, but very tarnished. I know the bottom picture looks bent up, but it's just the tarnish. Would this be silver or silverplate? Not sure how well it will polish up. The sugar bowl is monogrammed with an old English letter. The piece is very ornate with leaf decoration around the handles and the top rim. There are a few marks here and there with a good deal of tarnish that is in keeping with the aging of silver and years of use. It could use some cleaning which I will leave to you. Offered for sale is a World War 2 vintage Reed and Barton pattern 3610"Silver Soldered" marked"USN" Sugar Bowl with Lid. These Silver bowls were made heavy and tough to withstand ship board use during WW2. If only this Sugar Bowl could talk and tell the stories of the history that it has seen? In the first photo. You will see the current patina that adorns this already lovely lidded, four-footed sugar caddy. It is reported that initially. Reed& Barton produced“Brittania” silver, which resembled pewter but was much more durable. The current patina is remiscent of pewter. For sure. It bears the Reed& Barton pre-1900s stamp. MFD and Plated by Reed& Barton, 2764, Design Pat. 1876” Lidded. It is 9 ¼” high from the feet to the elaborate finial, and 6 ½” from handle to handle. Evidently. The pre-1900s patterns were numbered and not named. Plenty of photos are provided so that you can see the intricate details of the piece. ... morePLEASE NOTE THAT THE FULL VIEW PHOTO IS TAKEN AS IS. WITH NO ADDED LIGHTING TO SHOW CURRENT PATINA OF PIECE. In all other photos. Lighting is intensified in order to show detail. Atq Vtg Reed & Barton Silverplate Creamer & Sugar Bowl Bugs set 2710 Relief
This silverplate Reed& Barton creamer and sugar/waste bowl set came from a Vermont auction. The bottoms are marked mfd& plated by Reed& Barton 2710. They have a wonderful border design of flying horses. Flowers, and bugs. There are no dents. The sugar bowl may be a waste bowl. I do not have a lid or even know if it ever had a lid. The opening to the sugar bowl measures 4 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches. It measures 3 5/8" high. The creamer measures 5 3/4" high to the top of the handle and 6 1/2" from the handle to the tip of the spout. There are some scratches, see the 8th picture, wear, and tarnishing. I have not cleaned them.

Sugar Bowl w/lid, U.S.Navy from Officers Mess, Silver Soldered by Reed & Barton
Here is a fine heavy(2 lbs with lid) sugar bowl which was once used by the United States Naval Officers in their Mess. It is 7 inchesa across.Edge to edge on the handles, and beneath the maker's names- Reed& Barton- are the numbers 3610, probably their model number. In very good condition, altho it was probably used for some time on a ship. The lid has a few little dark spots, but they do not- in my opinion- hurt it; it has character,and is no doubt more than 50-60 years old and a very attractive piece, bright and shiny.

This lovely antique sugar bowl has been made with an intricate process of hammering the flowers into relief from the reverse side. This process is known as repoussé. The outline and detail of the flowers and leaves and also the stems are hammered with tiny dots from the front side. There are several kinds of flowers. The lid is missing. It is manufactured and plated by Reed& Barton. Numbered 3184 and the word GILT underneath the number. The symbol above the Reed& Barton is a pair of wings on top of a world globe. The bowl measures 5 3/4" wide with the handles, 3" across at the opening and 3-1/4" high. If you have any questions. Please ask before bidding. Payment must be made within 3 days of purchase. In rough condition. This large sugar bowl(or small planter or other container) is missing its lid. The dish measures about 8" wide from handle to handle, 3.25" inches tall, and about 4 3/4" deep. It weighs 1 lb. 2.6 oz. It is labeled on the bottom: Pat. Dec. 9. 1902. Reed& Barton. Silver Soldered. 054-H. 1P. The Claypool. There are many dents and dings. And it looks like it's been roughly hammered out over the years. It's obviously made of metal, maybe at one time it was silver plated. The Claypool Hotel in Indianapolis was built in 1901 as a place of rest for people traveling west. The hotel was as appointed and modern as had been seen. And was mentioned as a model of what hotels should be like. The lobby was the largest hotel lobby in the country. Every room had a telephone, and the hotel boasted more bathtubs ... morethan any hotel in the country. According to the Indiana Historical Society: It also advertised a theatre. Assembly hall, ballroom balcony overlooking the lobby, a roof garden, private Renaissance dining rooms, and Atrium Café patterned after the Roman City Herculaneum. Dishes were washed by“the art of electricity, refrigerators were cooled without ice, and a separate milk house chilled dairy products at ideal temperatures. The Riley Room, whose frescoes quoted from poems of Indiana’s most famous poet, delighted guests. In short, it had“every luxury known” to commercial hospitality. By the 1960s the hotel had seen its day. And in 1967 it suffered a devastating fire. The hotel was torn down in 1969.

Silver plated Creamer& Sugar Bowl Set* Reed and Barton"El Greco" Pattern Up for auction is a charming Creamer and Sugar bowl set. This"El Greco" pattern is over 60 years of age and looks magnificent. The creamer is stamped 1953 and the sugar bowl is stamped 1952. The creamer is about 5.25" high and 3" across the widest area. The sugar bowl is about 6.5" high with the lid on and 4" across the widest area. Not including the handles on both. This set is well made. It is heavy to feel and has no dents, dings, or scratches. REED& BARTON#1802& 1803 SILVER PLATE. Sugar& Creamer This set is a nice set. I am leaving the polishing up to the new owner. The condition is good for vintage. There are scratches on the outsides and the insides have pitted marks. The rim at the bottom of the creamer is bent but still stands straight. There is still an original sticker on the bottoms. There is also marked Reed& Barton with the#s on the bottoms. The sugar bowl is about 4" high and the creamer is about 5" high.

THIS IS A GREAT FIND IN AN ANTIQUE SUGAR BOWL THAT STILL HAS THE LID. PURCHASED AT AN ESTATE SALE I AM NOT SURE OF THE AGE BUT THERE IS A PATTERN NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM THAT LOOKS LIKE 3200 AND IS UNDERNEATH REED& BARTON. I HAVE TRIED TO LOOK UP THIS PATTERN BUT HAVE NOT FOUND THIS PARTICULAR ONE BUT I KNOW IT IS OLD BY THE WEAR ON IT AND SIMILAR ONES I HAVE SEEN. IT STANDS APPROXIMATELY 8 INCHES HIGH INCLUDING LID AND 7 1/2 INCHES WIDE FROM OUTSIDE OF HANDLE TO OUTSIDE OF HANDLE. NICE COLLECTABLE. SHOWS LOTS OF WEAR ON THE FINISH BUT ONLY SEE ONE SMALLER DENT. INSIDE OF BOWL IS VERY NICE. GREAT PIECE. I WISH I KNOW MORE ABOUT IT AS I AM SURE IT HAS ALOT OF HISTORY.
