It is Quadruple silver plate and has a leaf pattern hammered into both sides. At the very top there is also hammered a floral pattern. This has been worn down a bit with age and is not as clear as the main body scene. These both have fabulous handles with great large curves. This is a fabulous set from the Aesthetic movement. These pieces are in great condition with no dings or dents on the outside. They have a few very light surface marks from age and use. The inside of both pieces do have some larger wear marks but they do not take away from either piece. This is a great set and will add elegance to any tea or coffee setting! There are no monograms and the inside is clean and usable. There is a slight ding measuring 1/2 in long on the underside wich is hard to detect if not told. It stands about 4.75 inches tall and 5.75 inches across the rim. The fret work or cut work legs are sturdy and straight. No bends or re-welds. Antique Middletown Plate Aesthetic Movement Open Sugar Deer Head& Feet This is a highly decorative rare triple plate open sugar with deer heads and feet at the bottom. It is marked"Middletown Plate Co. Triple Plate 2205 or 3305" It measures 4 1/2 inches high and about 5 1/2 inches wide. I believe it is an open sugar as we never had a top. There are so many floral and scroll like designs throughout the piece I hope can be seen in the pictures. It is in great condition but needs a polishing. Thanks for looking.

Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate. Large and ornate late Victorian creamer and sugar bowl in the Aesthetic Movement style. This pair was made by The Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden. Connecticut and date from the 1870’s-1890’s. They are style number 1919 which features repousse foliate decorations in a diagonal banner across the sides of each piece. These two have no monograms or inscriptions and their interiors are parcel gilt. The sugar bowl may have had a lid originally but it does not have one now. Measured at the handles. The sugar stands 7 1/8” 18 cm) tall, and the cream pitcher is 7 3/8” 18.8 cm) tall. Condition: This pair is in fair condition. As it has quite a bit of wear to the silver layer. There are no breaks or repairs and the only dent we found was on the top rim on one side of the creamer(see ... morephoto) Both pieces have many surface scratches. The gilt inner surfaces have worn some over the years and the gold is now paler than it was originally. The interior of the sugar bowl has pitting as one would expect to find on a piece that was used as a planter at one time. Generously sized sugar and creamer by Taunton Silver from the late 19th century. Quadruple plate-very heavy silverplating intended for long use. No monogram. Marked TAUNTON SILVER COMPANY QUADRUPLE PLATE 3107 on reverse of both pieces. No monogram. Narrow embossed border. Engraved central motif. Aesthetic style floral. This motif is one-sided. Top diameter of sugar bowl about 3.25 inches. Height the same. Creamer top diameter without the spout 2.75 inches. Quite shiny. No pitting. No spots of silver loss. This set of silver plate is a pleasure to behold. The lines and detail are amazing. It is made of silver plate over brass. With some of the brass shining through, giving the pieces a golden glow. These are antiques so some wear is evident but overall very nice condition for their age. These could be polished to brighten up if wanted. Creamer& Sugar both measure: 6 1/2" x 4 3/8" T. 19C Aesthetic Silver Plate Creamer& Sugar Bowl by Simpson Hall Miller& Co NoRe, This listing is for a very handsome 19th century Aesthetic silver plate creamer and sugar bowl by Simpson. Hall, Miller& Company. The sugar bowl measures 3 ¾ inches or 9.5 cm high to the top rim and is 6 3/8 inches or 16 cm wide from handle to handle. The creamer measures 3 inches or 9 high to the top rim, and is 6 inches or 15 cm wide from handle to spout. These two pieces feature a low round and ribbed foot which supports the bulbous form bodies. The handles have and exaggerated round form with ribbed detail where it meets the bodies. The bodies are further enhanced with large floral and geometric engraved designs. The top rims have a similar design to the feet. This set was manufactured in Germany between 1909 and 1914(see note below) Very striking Aesthetic Movement design with flowers and leaves and bamboo. Even though the Aesthetic Movement was dominant 1860-1900. The style carried over into the early 1900's. Slight surface imperfections from age and use. Note the ruler in the first shot, this is a large creamer and sugar. I combine shipping and request payment within 3 days. Note the simplified shape of the"F" letter. The size of the arch varies from 1.8 x 2.4 mm to 3.7 x 5.2 mm. The mark was used from 1909 until around 1914 for the items exported to France. The company began production of silver plate in 1857 and merged with Rogers& Brothers in 1861. Later in 1862 the dies were purchased by Meriden Britannia Company and in 1863 the hollowware division was also purchased by Meriden and transferred to New Haven and by 1866 the company ceased to exist. Black spots on item are reflections from the camera lens and not actually on the item. The cream pitcher is tall standing 7 inches featuring ... moreover sized flowers and birds on either side and machine etched ornamentation on the creamer at the points where the handles is attached to both top and bottom areas. The cut work on the handles is in excellent condition with no breaks. The silver plate is very shiny as shown in the pictures and there are no monograms and the inside is usable. Both measure 3-3/4” high, the creamer measures 6-3/4” wide across the handles and the creamer 5-1/2” wide spout across the handle. They are marked on the bottoms with a factory stamp: C.ROGERS& BROS.MERIDEN, CONN. QUADRUPLE/ 1225. The condition is good with no dings, dents, breaks, touch-ups or repairs.
