Up for bid is a what I think is called a silver plated material. As you can see by the brands it was done by James W. Tufts of Boston and all three pieces are numbered#4518. This wonderful tea set of three has beautiful floral engraving and details. Conditions and sizes are as follows: Sugar: 6” wide x 5 ½” tall. Small dent in bottom Creamer: 5 ¼” wide x 5” tall. Medium dent on side, spout seems to be bent…see close-up pictures. Other item: I don’t know what this is) 5 ½” wide x 4 ½” tall. Small dent in side…hard to see! Vintage Japanese Silver Plated on Zinc Sugar Scuttle w/ Scoop Floral Engraved
Beautifully engraved scuttle and scoop on zinc. Silver plated finish on scuttle has some wear inside, outside looks good with a couple of spots and some loss of plate as well. Scuttle with detailed floral engraving stands approx. 6 inches tall x 6 1/2 inches wide. Measuring to handles, base is 3 1/8 inches in diameter. Scoop is 3 1/4 inches long x 1 1/4 inches in diameter. This auction is for an Antique SHEFFIELD SILVER PLATE CREAMER& SUGAR BOWL that was made in Sheffield. England with an Engraved Floral Design and makers mark. The creamer measures 5 inches wide from tip of spout to handle edge by 2-3/4 inches tall by about 3 inches in depth and the top opening measures 2 inches across top opening. The sugar bowl measures 5-1/2 inches wide handle edge to handle edge by 3-1/4 inches tall by 3-1/4 inches in depth and 2-1/2 inches across top opening. The sugar scuttle was made in in Japan in the 1950s of silver plate with a floral decoration dentil borders and a gold washed interior. The sugar scuttle measures 6 inches to top of handle by 6 inches long by 3.5 inches wide. The sugar scuttle is in good condition. There is only minor silver loss. No dents and minor scratches to the interior. Has the tarnish resistant sticker on the bottom and Japan on the sticker.
