The legs are fret or cut work and sturdy with no re-welds. In the 1800's fret work was cut out by hand using a tool similar to a dental knife. This creamer is no exception featuring a figure which looks like an otter or beaver popping its head out of the handle and a cluster of grapes on the underside of the spout. The creamer stands about 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide with no monograms and features a tiny beaded trim on the base and rim. This is a nice vintage silver plate cream pitcher with three legs and paw feet with nice detail in the claws. This measures 4 1/2" high to the lip and 4 1/2" handle to spout and is marked The Sheffield Silver Co 332 as shown. There is tarnish but no dents and surface is smooth with some wear inside.
