You are viewing a Vintage National Silverplate Co. 3 Piece Set. This set contains the Creamer, Sugar Bowl and Tray. The tray measures 9 1/2 x 6 1/2" wide. The creamer and sugar bowl measures 2" tall. This set is in good condition with no scratches or dents. It simply needs a good old fashion cleaning. Unique Van Bergh Silverplate Co. Sugarbowl!
Up for a 5 Day Auction is this Van Bergh Silver Plate Co. Sugar Bowl. It is Hand Hammered. It would have been made between 1872 and 1926. The piece was purchased from and Estate Sale and no lid came with. It was quite darkened with age but. For me, that is part of the charm. On one side t here is a letter or 2 letters.truly. I would only be guessing what they are, they are so stylized. It is quite heavy. Weighing in at 14 ozs. It is not weighted, simply very solid. Of course. It is a sugar bowl, but it could hold pencils or make-up brushed, or paint brushes. There is scuffing and a nick on the outside of the rim. There is a sticky area on the base from a tag which can be removed by goo-be-gone. Don't let this one get away!

Antique Providence Silverplate Co. Quadruple Plate#412 Sugar and Creamer Set. From an estate and the silver salt shaker and silver bracket ring were stuffed inside. Measure 3.75 inches tall with approximate 12 inch circumference and 3& 3/8 inch diameter on top from outside rim to outside rim. Intricate scroll work design on handles and creamer spout. Etched flower design. Overall condition is good-they appear to be quite old. But have no known date. Half inch scratch on front of sugar bowl under the neck-could be from manufacture. Also small dent on the back side. Creamer has three very small dents on back side and corrosion near bottom of handle on back side. Salt shaker has no markings and the lid won't screw on and lid is corroded. This item measures 2.5 inches tall with 1 inch diameter across top opening. Small silver bracket ... morering(1&1/8 inch diameter) is a bonus-tiny dot of blue-green corrosion. Thanks for looking. Please email questions.

You are bidding on an antique Aesthetic Era Quadruple Silverplate Cup or Waste Bowl made by Meriden Brittania Company. At first I thought this was a cup. But after further research, I found that it could also be considered a waste bowl. The cup/waste bowl has a satin finish with a lovely bright-cut engraving of a vine bearing leaves and berries encircling the cup. The interior of the cup/waste bowl has a gold wash. Contrasting beautifully with the silver plate. The bottom bears a Scale within a Circle mark and reads. Meriden B Co. Another circle reads, Quadruple Plate" above the number"026. The Meriden Brittania Co. produced beautiful silverplate objects during the Aesthetic Era. Naturalistic themes were popular during this time which ran from the mid-1800's until early 1900. Antique silver plate from this era was most commonly ... moremarked"Quadruple Plate" denoting that 4 layers of silver plate were used on the piece. The term"Quadruple Plate" was rarely used after 1900. The cup/waste bowl bears normal and expected surface marks from age and use. Especially on the interior, along with a couple of small scratches. There is also some light loss of plating in spots. The bottom of the piece does bear some scratches and surface marks from use. The cup/waste bowl measures 2 3/4" in height and 3 1/2" across the mouth. This is a very nice antique Quadruple Silverplate Cup/Waste Bowl from the Meriden Brittania Co. Pre-owned elegant and dainty vintage set creamer& lidded sugar bowl with scrolly design pattern. Stickers read International Silver Company Silverplated. The sugar bowl with lid on is approx 3.5" tall. The creamer is approx 2 1/4" tall. They need polishing they do show discoloration, there are some surface scratches but they do not feel deep. An old SSS Co. Creamer with Bake Lite Handle Quadruple silverplate ~ 3 1/2" The top rim has a dent on one side& there is a small spot with light scratches. There is some damage on the tip of the spout that you can feel more than see. Some of the silverplate is chipped off& there is a tiny dent. photos# 7.8,9) The bake lite handle is in excellent condition& very tight. I have not tried to polish this piece. But there seems to be a lot of plate left. It's an interesting piece.

This is a Wonderful Vintage Silver Colored Silverplate Bee Hive Honey Pot Honey Jar with a Bee on a Flower Finial. This honey skep was designed to imitate early dome-shaped beehives made of horizontal coils of tied straw. Honey skeps were made mainly during the reign of George III(1760-1820) The design of this pot is based on an original idea by Paul Storr during this same period. This Honey Pot was Made in Japan for Corbell& Co. of Los Angeles. CA. It bears the gothic Corbell& Co engraved mark, as well as a foil label that states"Tarnish Protected~Made in Japan" It comes with a heavy frosted glass insert for your honey. That is removable for easy cleaning. This honey pot is in beautiful vintage condition. There are a some scratches& tarnished areas(mainly on the base plate& underneath the insert) and a small crack ... moreon the lid(please see pictures) that does not affect the usability of the jar. It comes with its original little serving spoon. The spoon has a bee motif at the end of the handle. The spoon is 5" in length. It measures 4 3/4" high to the top of the bee. The condition issues: two dings to the lid and one to the body. One ding to the saucer. Some wear to the silver plating. For the photos it was gently polished. But not fully. Antique~Homan Silverplate Co~Pattern2014~Quadruple Plate~Creamer&Sugar Bowl~1896
This creamer and sugar bowl are at least 110 years old. They were made sometime between 1896 and 1904 by the Homan Silverplate Co. These belonged to my husband’s great grandmother. These pieces are pattern 2014. These are beautiful pieces with an etched flower design. The creamer has a dent close to the bottom(see photos) The dent is about 1 ¼” by ¾” It is close the bottom so it is not very noticeable at first glance. I would say that these were probably used on a daily basis so they have minor dings and marks. Silver is hard to photograph because of the reflection. But I hope you can see how beautiful these are. I have polished these and it seems like some of the silver plate has worn off on the lid of the sugar bowl. The little handle on the lid does not even seem to me to be silver. It was very tarnished. But did not polish up ... morelike the rest of it did. There are probably other small areas where the silver plate is worn off. I am in no way a silver expert. More like a novice, so please let me know if you have questions or if I have erred in my description. Read below to see the history of Homan Silver and an explanation of what quadruple plate means. The Homan Manufacturing Company of Cincinnati was founded in 1847 by Henry Homan and Asa Flagg. From 1847 to 1896. The name of their company was Homan and Company. With many of their early wares marked“Flagg& Homan” Primarily, their wares were made of a white metal alloy Britannia. Their“special metal” Britannia is a pewter-like metal made from tin that is hardened by adding small amounts of copper and antimony. Pewter was known as the“poor mans” silver, and by the 1850’s most companies had replaced it with Britannia metal, a higher quality of pewter ware prized for its color and durability.
