Please be patient there are 10 photos to be loaded in this auction. We recently attended an Estate Sale and acquired a huge collection of antique oil lamps and jugs from Pennsylvania. We are excited to share with you the variety of tools we found! Be sure to check our listings over the next week to see the whole collection! GOOD LUCK! In this auction we have a great Civil War Era 3-wick parade lantern. What is unusual about this piece is that it has 3 wicks. We only found one or two wick lanterns in our research, none with three. This lantern is handheld and has a shield to block your hand from burning. People would use this at political rally's and parades. Made of tin and has a flat bottom, it measures approx. 12 1/4" x 9" x 11 1/2" There are a few dents and oxidation, and we could not unscrew the cap. Be sure to see all our photos for specifics! What a great rare 3-wick parade lantern from the late 1800's! Just imagine what parades and marches this lantern may have attended! GOOD LUCK! Estimated shipping weight. packaged) is 4 lbs 2 oz in a 16 x 16 x 14 box. The eBay Calculator is not always right- if the shipping looks too high email us and we will give you an accurate quote prior to the auction ending. What a great find! FAC

Art Nouveau Slate This fine antique surgeons' amputation kit has been in our family for many generations. According to family oral history. It was ... moreoriginally owned by a distant ancestor who was a traveling doctor in Ohio in the 1860s. He was known colloquially as Dr. Bear Grease, both for his belief that bear grease was the curative for a wide variety of ailments, as well as his habit of wearing a liberal amounts of bear grease in his hair. The figured walnut and mahogany case is in unusually fine condition and retains its original French polished finish. The inlaid brass fittings have an untouched original patina. The case contains three knives and a rather wicked looking hook instrument. The beautifully made knives are stamped'ZEITZ NEW YORK' The blades are free of rust and exhibit a fine patina and show some coloration that appears to be case-hardening. They are still razor sharp. The smallest of the three knives is broken where the blade joins the handle. Some of the instruments are missing. As is often the case with early medical sets, but it should be possible to track down the correct replacement pieces. The dimensions of the case are 13cm(5 3/8" x 46cm(16" x 7.2cm(2 7/8" I prefer payments via PayPal. But if you are unable to use PayPal I will accept personal checks drawn on Canadian or U.S. bank accounts. Payments made by check will have to wait for the check to clear before shipping. VICTORIAN CIVIL WAR ERA AESTHETIC JOHN MEAD FIGURAL VINES CREAMER PITCHER JUG
VICTORIAN CIVIL WAR ERA AESTHETIC JOHN MEAD FIGURAL VINES CREAMER PITCHER JUG Search Up for auction is a Victorian stately creamer jug or creamer by Mead and Sons. Philadelphia, Pa. According to the book American Silver Manufacturers by Dorothy Rainwater, pg, 107, the Company of Mead and Sons was formed in or around 1846 by John O. Mead after he returned from a trip to England to learn the art of Electro silver plating in the 1840's. By 1859 Mead was considered the first successful American electro silver plater around. Mead used the Coin Mark for his business until the late 1850's when the firm name became Filey and Mead. Later still the firm name was changed to Mead and Robins. That said, this dates the cream pitcher to the 1850's. It is a beauty standing 7.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide from handle to spout. The inside is ... moreclean and usable, no dings or dents and beautiful silver plate that needs just a little polishing. There is a monogram on one side which is impossible to make out. It could be an FCM but because it is script and very decorative I cant read it. Looks more like a design than a monogram. This is a fantastic Victorian Civil War Era tea or cream pitcher. Antique Creamer with Glass Insert Porter Britannia & Plate Company Civil War Era
Here is a nice silverplate creamer with the original glass cup insert made by the Porter Britannia company(1840s to 1879) The style looks from the civil war era. The glass insert is very neat with the old seam along the side and only one fleabite nick on the top edge. The spoon which comes with this is not as old(1900) made and marked Derby Silver Company. The spoon is excellent. There is some wear on the creamer silverplating; not an issue for use/display. A very displayable antique creamer and spoon. Nice patina- I will leave the polishing up to the buyer. Please check the pictures. Low starting bid. Thanks for looking.
