Early 1900's Sugar Bowl / Spooner -- Bright Cut -- Bird Fineal
Early William Rogers Sugar Bowl/ Spooner Very Old mark-late 1800's to early 1900's Bright Cut design Structurally in very good condition- all the spoon holders are solid. One slight ding on the collar Although this style of bright cut was never a shiny silver. There is evidence of silver loss on the lid, base and body. Some people wonder why the sugar bowls were so large back then. Sugar often came as a cone or lump and you would scrape the sugar you needed with your spoon. I love the squirrel handles and the bird on top. It would make a nice display if you collect Victorian spoons. Maybe you'd want to"re-purpose" this to hold dog treats on your kitchen counter! Of course it's still very useful for its original intension-as a sugar bowl.

Quadruple Silverplate Lot of Tufts & Paipoint Bright Cut Floral Creamer Sugar
Hee is a lot of three items one is a Pairpoint Quadruple PlateTwisted Ornate Engraved Floral Creamer 2022. Creamer pitcher is marked on bottom with Paipoint mfg co New Bedfort Mass Quadruple Plate number 2022. Very well made creamer pitcher with no plate loss in very good condition. Very beautiful matching engraved floral motif on both sides. With a twisted trim along the top and twisted handle. Edges on bottom and top of cup are made to have a wave effect. Both creamer and sugar container from James Tuft of Boston are marked with the number 1946 and are Quadruple Plate. Sugar bowl does have tiny split on edge and creamer has dent on compote foot(looks like someon dropped the creamer container onto the edge of the sugar bowl once) Otherwise both are in very good condition when turned both have a great dispplay side. The three pieces were made by the Forbes Silver Co. of Canada. Which was a division of Meriden Britannia Co. It is our understanding that the company was in business under the Forbes name from 1900 to 1940. The cream and sugar are in a brushed satin finish with a bright cut design. The holder is quite elaborate with a fancy finial and feet. The set does come with a spoon although it is not original to the piece. It was produced by the Wallace Silver Company. The stand is approximately 9 ¼ inches high and 7 inches wide at the base. The creamer is approximately ... more2 ¾ inches high and 4 ½ inches long from the handle to the spout. The sugar is approximately 2 ¾ inches high and 2 ¾ inches in diameter at the top. The spoon is approximately 5 5/8 inches long. The stand. Cream, and sugar are marked“Forbes Plate Warranted 047. The spoon is marked“1835 Wallace A1. The latter– A1– means that it is superior plate. The set is in gently used condition with some slight surface scratching. Cute ANTIQUE Bright Cut Flowers Lace Silverplate Small Creamer
Here is a very cute antique small silverplate creamer with a lacy bright cut pattern on it. There are no maker's marks. Only some hand etched numbers on the bottom of"518" and a couple other that I can't make out. It stands about 2 1/4" tall to the top of the spouts. It looks like there could possibly be some plate wear on the inside of the spout and may again on the inside bottom. I think the base metal is hard white metal, as it doesn't seem to be brass or copper. Shipping is available Monday-Friday. Excluding holidays, unless otherwise noted.
