Vintage BSC Birmingham Silver on Copper Sugar Bowl with Lid
This is a vintage silver on copper sugar bowl with lid made by Birmingham Silver. The sugar bowl has large. Almost oversized scrolling handles and tall scrolled feet. This is a heavy piece which is marked"silver on copper" on the bottom. It also has the Birmingham mark"BSC" with the crown to the left. The sugar bowl is in good condition with no visible scratches. Dings or dents that I could find. It does have heavy tarnish on the handles and feet. Also the lid may not be original, this piece came in a box lot. It looks similar to other BSC sugar lids on Replacements so I kept it with the bowl. This piece stands 6.5" tall with the lid. 5.5" tall without the lid. The bowl is 3.75" wide.

Birmingham Silver Co. Silverplated Silver Over Copper Sugar Bowl and Creamer Set. Gorgeous silverplated creamer and sugar bowl are of matching pattern with detailed swirling handles and feet and maker's marks are included on their undersides(please see photos) In good condition with no major scratches or dents. Estate sale finds, I do not know the age or anything else about thees items. I have not cleaned or polished them, you can so that if you wish. They do show signs of tarnish and oxidization, but that does not mar there beauty, but gives them more of a Shabby, antiqued' quality if you choose to display them as-is. Sugar bowl measures 7.5in tall, 7in wide from handle to handle, 4.5in deep on the inside, and feet are situated 3in apart. Creamer is 7in tall, 3in wide from foot to foot on the bottom, 5in deep on the inside, and 6in ... morewide from handle to spout. Please email me with any additional questions. These pieces are a great find if you collect Birmingham Silver pieces.
