WARREN SILVER NEW YORK 1890's QUADRUPLE PLATE 57 E SPOONER/ SUGAR BOWL with LID This sugar bowl is in very good condition with some wear. Needs cleaning. The finial looks to have been repaired. Will hold up to 12 spoons. Stands approximately 8" tall from base to top of bird's wing. 3 1/2" diameter at the rim. Ornate handles with rabbits. Laurel wreath on both sides of bowl. VINTAGE ROGERS SPOONER SPOON HOLDER COVERED SUGAR BIRD FINIAL Search Up for auction is a vintage spooner or spoon holder and sugar bowl by Rogers Silver Plate Company. The spoon holder stands 6.75 inches tall to the rim. 10.5 inches tall to the top of the finial and 8 inches wide from handle to handle. The inside is usable and the silver plate is shiny. The book American Silver Plate features the spoon holder on page 314 and gives a date of production to the early 1900's. There is an old repair to the finial. At one time it may have broken off and been reattached as shown in the 9th picture. insurance is included in the cost of shipping. The lid of this bowl has a terrific bird finial and the handles have what is either a squirrel or rabbit in the design. Standing 8 1/4” tall. This is about 8” wide handle-to-handle, has an engraved bowl and six spoon holder frames on each side. As shown. It has the WR mark on the bottom and is in excellent used condition with no dents, some typical light usage marks and some loss to the plating. This appears to have been made with the body having a matte finish with the base and part of the top partially matte and partially shiny. Unusual Covered Sugar w/ Bird Finial & Spoon Holder Silverplate Conn. Plate Com.
Up for auction is a nice antique silver plated covered sugar bowl with spoon holders attached to the side and a bird finial on the cover. It has a aesthetic look and design. Featuring birds, floral banded pattern, and grapes. In overall good condition. Marked on the bottom Connecticut Plate Co. Triple Plate. It does need a cleaning, it has some tarnishing. Measures 7" tall x 7" across from handle to handle. There are some minor scratches from age and use throughout. It stands slightly tilted and a few of the spoon holders are slightly tilted as well, it is soft Silverplate and could be easily fixed and I would not consider this piece damaged. Silverplate sugar bowl/spooner dome lid seagull bird finial 12 spoons Coral 1892
Offered is this remarkable silver-plated footed sugar bowl/spooner featuring a domed lid with a bird finial that we think looks like a seagull. The sugar bowl has 12 spoon holders fitted around the middle. Six on each side between the two decorative handles. The spoon holders contain 12 demitasse spoons. The 12 silverplate demitasse coffee spoons were made by 1847 Rogers in a pattern called Coral. Which was patented about 1892. The Coral pattern includes a five-pointed flower on the front of the handle and a soft-shell crab on the back. We understand this pattern was made only in coffee spoons and oyster forks. The sugar bowl has a band of embossed flowers around the middle and around the base. The sugar bowl/spooner stands 9.75 inches tall(25 cm) It measures 8.5 inches(21.5 cm) from handle to handle.
