Cheerful embossed leafy design with wing-like filigree handles. Refreshing. Actually. Each piece measures about 2 ½ inches tall. 2 inches in base, and 4 ¾ inches from to end. The opening across top measures about 2 ½ inches across. This style does not have a lid. See photos of identification hallmarks on bottom. There is a crimp on the face of the creamer to the left of center if you were to hold the creamer with spout pointing left. I can best describe it as a fan shaped ... moreripple of dents. You can feel this crimp on the surface through to the interior. The sugar bowl has two more pronounced 1 inch dents both left and right of center that you can also see from the surface to the interior. The bottom of the sugar bowl has a couple of small dents on the side. But there are no problems with balance. Shipping cost includes insurance.

Simpson. Hall, Miller& Co. began in 1866. In 1898 it was one of the companies that was incorporated into International Silver Company, Wallingford, CT. The spoons are not original to this piece but are of the same era. JR& S(crown) John Round and Son(1847-1874) In 1874 the firm became JR& S Ltd. This is a beautiful example of Victorian Silverplate(quadruple) Sugar Bowl with 12 attached spoons.

Up for auction is an antique Simpson Hall huge sugar bowl or loving cup. It displays Victorian aesthetic style. There are viking heads at its feet. Birds at its center band. Leaves make up the finial. We're not exactly sure what this is. It is very large for a sugar bowl, but seems too small for a biscuit jar. Possibly a loving cup of some sort. It is monogrammed with initials on one side. There is some loss of silverplate and light scratches. It needs a thorough cleaning and polishing. Overall a very nice piece. It stands 9 inches tall and 8 inches wide handle to handle. The mouth is 3 3/4 inches wide.
