Antique 1898 VanBergh SP Quadruple Silverplate 4 Pc. Creamer & Sugar #468
Up for auction are 4 pieces of marked"VanBergh SP Co. Pat. May 1898#468" creamer and sugars. They have an ornate raised relief floral edge, part of handles, creamer spout and lid knob and a scroll floral and leaf design on both sides. The covered sugar has 1 small ding on the bottom, the uncovered sugar has 1 small ding on bottom rim and the creamer has 1 ding on the floral design. All pieces need more cleaning, have the typical wear one would expect and on the bottom of one of the pieces is some black which will probably come off(see last picture) While you're here please take a look at my matching dome butter dish w/glass insert listing. This antique sugar bowl has a beautiful scalloped rim and an engraved scroll like design in sections around the widest part of the bowl. It is footed and has an eagle head hallmark on the bottom with the words Forbes Silver Co. USA Quadruple. There is some ware from typical use on the inside of bowl. The ribbed area that projects out between the engraved sections has a few small knicks and some ware to the silver. The height is about 5.75 in. and from widest point on handle to spout about 5 in. wide. I found some information about Dufva: Axel Gabriel Dufva enterprise. One of the oldest silver-plate factories in Europe. Antique Footed Etched Decorative Arts Silverplate Creamer
Up for auction is an antique silver-plated creamer recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition with no real issues to report. This footed example does have a number incised on the bottom, which is number 950, best seen in photo#4. The only condition issue to discuss is that this creamer could benefit from a good cleaning. The footed creamer stands on four feet and is vine decorated. It has a wonderful spout and scrolled and incised handle. It measures approximately 5 1/4" tall and has an opening of approximately 3" in size. The feet are quite decorative as well. This auction is for an antique silverplated. What I believe is a sugar bowl with lid. I would describe the style as Georgian Revival. It is marked with Crown GSC Hallmark. The only reference that I found to this hallmark described it as Sheffield by an unknown maker. The bowl is 6 1/2" tall. The bowl is footed. It is in very good condition. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE SILVERPLATE MASTER SUGAR BOWL with SPOON HOLDER and SPOONS
Antique unusual master sugar bowl with 12 built in spoon holders. Lovely designs on the rim and on the l id. Stands about 7.5" tall to the top of the emb lem on the lid. I n good condition overall. Needs to be polished up, lid looks to have be en polished. But I left it as I purchased it. One of the 12 spoon stem holders has one si de broken off. Spoon still holds on so it's not very noticeable. Spoons may or may not be original to the s et are are different designs. 3 spoons have a stamp Vict or S Co on the bac k. 5 say 1847? Rodgers Bros. 3 feel lighter than the others and are marked Germany, and the last one is a 1984 World Fair souvenir spoon.

This is an antique creamer marked: WB. 3621, in a shield with a lion on top, it says Trade Mark on the banner. It came from an auction for an old antique store that had been closed for at least 10 years, the paper tags on the piece are very old and dried. It is 2 1/4" tall, 3 3/8" across the handle, weighs 3 1/2 ounces. It has tarnish and may have the silver worn in places. The paper label says WB Crescent.

Antique Providence Silverplate Co. Quadruple Plate#412 Sugar and Creamer Set. From an estate and the silver salt shaker and silver bracket ring were stuffed inside. Measure 3.75 inches tall with approximate 12 inch circumference and 3& 3/8 inch diameter on top from outside rim to outside rim. Intricate scroll work design on handles and creamer spout. Etched flower design. Overall condition is good-they appear to be quite old. But have no known date. Half inch scratch on front of sugar bowl under the neck-could be from manufacture. Also small dent on the back side. Creamer has three very small dents on back side and corrosion near bottom of handle on back side. Salt shaker has no markings and the lid won't screw on and lid is corroded. This item measures 2.5 inches tall with 1 inch diameter across top opening. Antique Aesthetic Era WILCOX Silverplate COFFEE SUGAR CREAMER Set #125 Cherubs
A vintage antique Quadruple Plate Wilcox Silverplate Co. of Meriden. Conn. set including the Coffee Pot, sugar with lid, and the creamer. The set is from the late 1800's Aesthetic Era, I believe the 1890's. It is hallmarked on the bottom with the crossed hammers mark used in the late 1900's and is marked 125 w/ a 5 underneath it on one piece. The pattern has an engraved wheat and leaf design with a scrolling band below. On each side at the top is a Gothic shield in raised relief. All of the handles have a Cherub head sitting up top. The coffee pot handle has an insulator at the top and bottom, not sure what they are made of(shiny and somewhat beigish- mother of pearl? The set is a fairly large one with the sugar being almost as large as the coffee pot. The double handled sugar has one Cherub facing one way and the other facing ... morethe opposite. I have polished the set and it is in beautiful very good condition, could actually be polished a little more but my hands are what they used to be. Plate is in very nice condition. Did not polish the bottom which has some goldish color but did a spot check and it did come off. t what they used to be for this. The coffee pot finial has a slight lean to one side, the lid to the sugar has a few pinhead dings in it, and the sugar has a small dent in it near the bottom in the engraving(see pics for all of these) There is a couple very small light scratches here and there but nothing serious, considering the age this is amazing. Very well kept and cared for during it's 100+ years. Please refer to the pictures below as part of the item description. The coffee pot measure 12" tall x 8.5" across handle to spout. Sugar is 11" tall x 7.5" handle top to handle top. Sugar is 7.5" tall at the handle/ 7" tall at the spout x 6" handle to spout. ANTIQUE MERIDEN BRITANNIA B CO QUADRUPLE SILVERPLATE CUP WASTE BOWL SILVER PLATE
You are bidding on an antique Aesthetic Era Quadruple Silverplate Cup or Waste Bowl made by Meriden Brittania Company. At first I thought this was a cup. But after further research, I found that it could also be considered a waste bowl. The cup/waste bowl has a satin finish with a lovely bright-cut engraving of a vine bearing leaves and berries encircling the cup. The interior of the cup/waste bowl has a gold wash. Contrasting beautifully with the silver plate. The bottom bears a Scale within a Circle mark and reads. Meriden B Co. Another circle reads, Quadruple Plate" above the number"026. The Meriden Brittania Co. produced beautiful silverplate objects during the Aesthetic Era. Naturalistic themes were popular during this time which ran from the mid-1800's until early 1900. Antique silver plate from this era was most commonly ... moremarked"Quadruple Plate" denoting that 4 layers of silver plate were used on the piece. The term"Quadruple Plate" was rarely used after 1900. The cup/waste bowl bears normal and expected surface marks from age and use. Especially on the interior, along with a couple of small scratches. There is also some light loss of plating in spots. The bottom of the piece does bear some scratches and surface marks from use. The cup/waste bowl measures 2 3/4" in height and 3 1/2" across the mouth. This is a very nice antique Quadruple Silverplate Cup/Waste Bowl from the Meriden Brittania Co. Stunning Antique MERIDEN Silverplate Sugar Bowl w Lid ~ Creamer ~ Spooner or Waste This auction is for a beautiful antique Meriden 3 piece sugar bowl with lid. Cream pitcher and spooner or waste. They have a sleek Deco style with a raised ring around the lower quarter. The underside is stamped with 2 circles- Meriden B. Company with the scales in one and Quadruple Platein the other. The number 180 and U.S.A. are beneath the circles. The sugar bowl measures an impressive approx. 6/3/4" from handle to handle by 6 1/2" to the top of the lid. The cream pitcher measures 4 3/4" from spout to handle by 5" to the top of the handle. The spooner measures 5 7/8" from handle to handle by 4 7/8" to the top of the handle. VTG Silverplate Sugar Bowl and Spoon with Hinged lid Antique 2.75" tall
This is a sugar bowl with a hinged lid. On the inside is a glass dish that is removable. Note there is a chip in the glass caused by where the hinge hits the glass. It includes a spoon. It measures approx 2.75" tall 2.5" wide including the handle. It has a beautiful ornate pattern to it. It has significant tarnish and I have not attempted to clean it. There are no stamped markings on the bottom to identify who made this piece. This belonged to my great aunt's antique collections from Santa Rosa. CA.

Heavily decorated with engraved and repousse ornament with an Egyptian motif including king figures and a phoenix bird on the lid. Amazing detail. This antique. Heavily silverplated sugar bowl is from the Hotel Ambassador in Chicago, Ilinois. It was made by Morton in Canada and measures 7 inches in length from handle edge to handle edge, 3 3/8 inches in width across the widest area of the bowl and 2 1/2 inches in height to the top of the handle. There are use scratches all over the heavy plating but the only places I could find the silver plating worn away was at the top of each handle. Antique NORDEUTSCHER LLOYD BREMEN Silverplate Silver Plated German Creamer
This antique heavily silverplated creamer is from the Nordeutscher Lloyd Bremen maritime shipping company which was founded in Bremen. Germany, in 1857. It measures 4 7/8 inches in length from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle, 3 1/2 inches in height to the top of the handle and 2 1/2 inches in width from front to back across the bowl area at the top. There are use scratches all over the heavy plating but the only places I could find the silver plating worn away was at the middle of the outside of the bowl in two spots next to each other and at the area where the handles at the top attach to the bowl area. There is a dent just below the logo that shows on the inside of the bowl but the silver plating is not damaged on the inside or outside where the dent is. There's also a large deep scratch at the bottom of the bowl. Otherwise, ... morethis creamer is in very good condition being free of cracks, other dents and excessive wear to the plating.
